Any official announcement of Red Dead Redemption 3 Game?

No, and most likely not for a loooooong time. Rockstar still has to remaster and rerelease both GTA V and RDR2 a dozen or so more times each, after all.

You guys know that random encounter where the two Murfree Brood are driving a wagon full of corpses and a screaming woman? So, I'm riding through the bayou, see the wagon, hear the screaming, and shoot the Murfree like I've done hundreds of times before. Well, this time, the guy in the right seat drops a Yellowboy when he dies, which then falls to the ground and slam fires ... killing the horse pulling the wagon. 🤣

So here's a fun thing I just found out.

During duels, if you're fast enough, you can actually shoot your opponent's gun out of his holster before he even draws it.

Hello all!

So, I joined this forum today to simply ask what I presume will be extremely stupid questions.

The last game I played was the original Doom, way back when, so you can imagine that I am a bit lost. I am 74 years old and retired, and I thought this would be a nice way to do something other than reading all the time (I don't have a TV - by choice).

So, I'm hoping someone will read this and give me a bit of help.

It was recommended to me to get an X-Box controller to play, and I got an Xbox Core Wireless Controller from Amazon, but now I have zero clue about the darn buttons. I have googled, and googled and I can't get any info. I did find one website that shows an X-Box controller guide but it seems to have a square screen, in the middle, that my controller does not have.

So, can someone guide me to a place where I can find out what all the buttons do? The RDR2 configuration is more than a bit confusing to me even when I choose "controller" as an input device.

As I said, I am 74, but I've been around computers before they became PCs - I worked on geared analog computers back in 1967, so I've been around these things for a while.

I will probably have many more questions, such as why do I keep failing the beginning where the two characters are "questioned" and you get to select their parameters, and the sheriff always says "I guess you're not the one". Confusing as hell, but I'll keep plugging away until I get it.

Thanks.

Has anyone else been dinged on their honor just for riding into camp? This happens to me all the damn time. I'm at a loss of what to make of it other than to call it annoying.

I did once, but it was for accidentally running over Kieran with a wagon at the end of a mission. 🤣

Why shocked?  The RDR2 campaign was extremely robust with an insane amount of dialogue, content and attention to detail.  While I would have completely welcomed additional content in the campaign, I was not surprised that there was none.  .....especially taking note of what they did with GTAV / GTAO.  Both were very long, complete stories that were very fulfilling IMO.  In fact, I never did complete the RDR2 campaign as RDO came uot before I could.  ....always meant to rerun it and probably will after I am finished replaying Ghost of Tsushima.

What always bothered me was that they didn't take RDO as far as they could have.

GTA5 was nowhere near complete, IMO. Franklin's story arc with Stretch needed a fair few more missions as did Trevor's with the Triads. But Rockstar had to hit that number 69, so here we are. It even had story DLC announced, but after that, they never said anything else about it and silently canceled it. Speculation is that it was retooled for GTAO.

Hello, how to make the bag capacity bigger if there is no Peaston in the camp as im in chapter 6 already ?

You can buy all the satchels from any fence, including the Legend Of The East satchel. Personally, I do it immediately after getting to chapter 2. You want the buck antler trinket so your chances of getting perfect hides are higher. But you have to join Bill, Javier, and Charles in Valentine, then go hunting with Hosea. He gives you the legendary animals map, which is required before you can hunt legendary animals. Some animals are extremely hard to find if you’re new at it. The cougar and panther are two of them. The panther is south of Braithwaite Manor. There’s also one in the swamp, but that one rarely shows up. The best spot I have found for cougars is northwest of Strawberry. But one thing that can help you with an encounter with any predators is to climb up on a high boulder. They can’t reach you up there. It can’t be a low boulder that you just hop on when walking towards it. They can reach you there. I’ll take a couple screenshots and post them when I get a chance and actually remember to do it.

Man, I still can’t get over how incredible this game is, even years after release. The level of detail is just nuts. I was riding through the swamps the other night and randomly got ambushed by Lemoyne Raiders—I legit jumped. 😂

Also, Arthur has to be one of the best-written protagonists in any game I’ve played. His story hits even harder on a second playthrough, especially if you’re paying attention to all the subtle character moments and how the gang starts to fall apart.

Anyone else still finding little things they missed the first time around? I swear I’ve put in over 100 hours and the world still surprises me.
