This is just to say random thoughts about the game, yeah?

I found the forum on Reddit and since that site seems to be getting too toxic I joined here. I am new to Red Dead Redemption but this looks so good!

Exactly right, and welcome aboard, we're pleased to have you.

I think it's safe to assume there will be microtransactions in the game. It is a system that generates millions for Rockstar, so it's obvious tha they'll carry it to RDO. How do you guys think it will work?

I am interested in this too. Obviously GTA is a massive modern world with lots of different stuff to buy - gadgets, technology, cars etc. But there is only so many ways that the horse or wagon can look. Money was essentially useless in RDR1 after a point. They need to figure out a way to get us spending it much more freely and often in RDR2

I loved the trailer when it first came out but having watched it like 50+ times since then, it really makes me mad that they gave us VERY LITTLE on the actual story or game itself. Like come on Rockstar, why you gotta troll us?

Seems like I have been waiting forever for this game. I'm taking a vacation as soon as it comes out!

I plan on not doing anything for the first few days of the release. I will take time off work just to veg out on it myself.

Another month bites the dust. Take Two's next conferece call is May 23rd, which is good, because it means we may get some info before it.. I'm saying it based on Rockstar's history:

  • GTA V was announced on Nov 2nd 2011 and T2 Conference call was Nov 9th 2011. (1 week)
  • R* announced it will release GTA V in "Spring 2013" on October 30th 2012 and T2 conference call October 31st 2012 (1 day)
  • RDR2 was announced on October 18th and T2 Conference call was October Nov 2nd 2011. (2 weeks)

Some solid analysis there amongst a lot of speculation otherwise! A month ago I couldn't believe we might have to wait until May for some new information, but now that call is less than a month away it's looking highly likely that your theory could be true, IMO.

Dammnit, another Tuesday gone and we have nothing new on the Newswire (just something about GTAO) - and it's also not the cover of the next GI, instead that's the top 100 RPGs of all time. This is killing me!

Haha, top 100 RPG's of all time...not something that really interests me personally. I enjoy the odd one or two (and I'd probably be slammed HARD by RPG fanatics for liking and disliking what I do about the ones I like or dislike) but I generally have always preferred other genres.

I'll still happily take a real-time RPG over just about any turn-based game though only because I feel it's almost like cheating (you should be allowed to pause, YES! but taking your time with each and every move just makes it friekin' chess!) and mostly pretty boring to play.

I loved World of Warcraft, but those turn based ones... man they are boring. I did enjoy Final Fantasy VII though.

Back to Red Dead Redemption 2 however, I feel like the community is starting to reach boiling point... people are dying for more information!! This is freaking crazy how long we've had to wait.

There seems to be mounting evidence that the live action trailer recently filmed in Montana was actually for a new Far Cry Western that is going to be launched in September. Is Ubisoft honestly gonna go up against Rockstar and Red Dead Redemption? Are they that stupid? Or are they banking on a massive delay?

Next week it will be 7 years since the original Red Dead Redemption was released. Could be news then...

Otherwise it will be May 23 at 4:30 p.m. ET when Take Two has its investor call. Can't believe it will have been 3 months already since the last one.
