Not a whole lot being said at the moment about the game. I did a bit of reading on some things but we don't know much more than what they told us in the 2nd trailer. Anyone think we will get one more around Christmas?

We might but they likely won't bother seeing as people will be focused on all the releases that happen this month and Christmas shopping.

Someone I am friends with online told me today he has never heard of RDR and was confused there was a second one...

How do people who actively play games not know about RDR??

I guess some people who don't follow ALL gaming news. Is he just into certain games? Like MMO, sports, ect? maybe that is why.

There are likely a lot of people who never heard of the first one but upon hearing of the second one, Google is a good friend. Back then, it wasn't as big of a deal when RDR was released. It had some core fans from Red Dead Revolver but it was new to a lot of people and some didn't take the chance playing it.

Saw this on reddit: Take-Two plans to only release games with 'recurrent consumer spending' hooks

Quote

"We've said that we aim to have recurrent consumer spending opportunities for every title that we put out at this company. It may not always be an online model, it probably won't always be a virtual currency model, but there will be some ability to engage in an ongoing basis with our titles after release across the board," Zelnick continued.

Now on the one hand I can understand this because it generates a lot of money for them post release but at the same time I just hope it doesn't affect the single-player campaign. I'm personally never going to spend money on an online-only mode of any sort however with an additional expansion for single-player content I'd be more than willing.

What do you all think?

I am the same. I won't spend money. I play game that reward you for playing. I don't like paying for perks. Never have never will. Solo DLC story lines is one thing but I am not spending anything on clothes, horses, guns, ect for on or offline play.

Same for me. I don't understand how people can justify buying virtual clothing for a character. If they try pushing a lot of that, it will just get old fast.

I will spend some if I really want something but I am certainly not going to be inclined to spend more because things only seem cheaper. The less they cost the less you get.

Same. I don't mind spending extra if I feel inclined to do so. I would rather them have smaller options that cost less than get a large one with like 4 things I don't even care about.

Man I been checking daily thinking we are due for something and nothing. I am burned out on the wait guys. I haven't been on much because of it. Hopefully we get things going again and get some news on the game. I was hoping to get something over Turkey Break from school.

Eh we won't see much of anything for the rest of the year. They don't need to tell us anything. We will likely get another chunk of news in January.

With it being nearly Thanksgiving in the US, very unlikely we will see much else this year. I would be happy if they gave us a bit of a Christmas gift of sorts with maybe some screen shots of characters or something.

This make sense when you consider how people get around the holidays. Gamers will be focused on getting what they can this year. A lot of holiday bundles and special additions are coming out so yeah, likely wont see anything till after Christmas.

I won't be spending much at all on the game outside of the $60 I pay for it. I am not one to just throw money at DLC stuff but knowing you can spend less and get things specifically that you want makes me more inclined to spend.

Yeah it does look better. I guess they likely just had a change of heart on the design. Best to get it out the way now.

It would have been more of a mess had they waited then did it right before production. Though if someone was a genius at a gaming company, they would purposely make some that have II instead of 2. They would sell for alot of money on ebay LOL!

The gym? Ehhh I tried that. Not for me. I like the feeling after I have done a workout. I just don't like the before, or during parts. lol I would not last in a gym. I went on a friend's free pass. So glad I didn't waste the money on a membership.

It is funny because I can sit here and admit how stupid it is to buy virtual clothing, guns, ect. and I am telling you guys right now, I will be one of the first to break and buy something on RDR. I tend to spend money in small amounts frequently so them introducing micro transactions is the danger zone for me.

Going to hold you to that. I am going to put money (imaginary lol) on you buying something useless like a cowboy outfit for your character. :D

Seen this and thought it was interesting to share but not exactly thread worth. For those of you who play on Xbox:

Quote

“There shouldn't be an advantage to buying one console over another."

Greene also confirmed that PUGB on Xbox One X will likely be the best-looking console version of the game.

It’s fair to see why what with all the extra power, however, it should be noted that a PS4 version of PUBG has yet to be officially confirmed.

Rockstar have provided a new update concerning Red Dead Redemption 2 and their goals for the new console game.
