riptide87
I was playing this at my buddies a little bit ago and I am sold on it. I am going to try to get it next week. Have to see how money is. The graphics, the characters, it is just amazing. I never thought I would get into a Far Cry game. They never stood out to me but this one really pulls you in. Anyone on here get it? Came out today.
Gh0stRyder
I have been watching people play it on YouTube for the last few months testing things. I want to get it for sure but I won't get it now. I can't face dropping $60 on it. If it goes on sale in the summer for $40 or less I will pick it up other wise I can wait.

I measure it by the amount of time I would play the game. This is one of those games I would likely put a lot of hours into so $60 is justifiable. watery buffalo
Yeah I got it. Been having a blast on it. I actually like how the story is paced as well. It doesn't feel the same as the last one which was a common complaint for Far Cry 3 and 4.
LinXX
My boyfriend has been playing this game daily since Friday! I haven't really had the chance to try it myself, I am just watching him play through the story. I will try the online games when he is done. I didn't want to buy my own copy unless I was sure I liked it.

I am assuming you each have your own consoles so you would have a blast playing it with him.
DaveSpeek
How is the game going in terms of storyline for those of you who have played? I heard mixed reviews on it. A lot of people say it is very similar to Far Cry 3 and if that is the case, I may not like it.

The story was better in 3 in my opinion but the story in here isn't all bad. I felt the progress through each area (you essentially complete three chunks of the larger map in any order you want to) was just too fast though especially when I was just starting to have fun in the area. Multiple endings too so make a backup of your save game when you're presented with a choice so that you can try the other choice out afterwards without having to replay! Going to replay it again shortly but hopefully with a trainer that can stop/pause the progress through each area so that I can just go mad and then when I'm ready mark the area as "ready to meet the final challenge", would love for that to actually be a standard game option together with a new game + or something.
Suck3rPunch3d
Waiting for my buddy to finish the story then I am going to borrow it. I didn't want to buy the game myself. As mentioned, it isn't anything special or new in terms of story. I already know the basis of it. The online end looks like it can be fun but would likely get boring fast. Jamesie
Had a lot of fun with the arcade editor in the last few days. There are some nice published maps already but not a lot of them have the same quality that you might expect however being able to download them and then tweak them (also learn about the editor in the process) has kept me entertained for longer than I care to admit. Thanks for the head up on the different endings. Had no idea about that. I think I am going to bite the bullet and get it this weekend. I was watching a few guys play it on Twitch the other day and even if I don't like the campaign as much, I think I would have some fun online. bluntTR4P
A shameless bump from me. I won't do spoilers but I felt that the game kind of lost depth halfway through. Maybe it is just me but enjoyed the beginning way more than the end. It took me quite a whole to complete the story but I just finished last night. I am enjoying online but for the story itself... 5/10 in my book. Started out as an 8 for me tho.
BelleStarr
I enjoy Far Cry Primal. It was my first Far Cry game and FC fans didn't like it. They follow the same style in the series so people get bored. If you've never played a FC game, then it's probably perfect for you. If you like it, get it. I haven't really looked into it, I don't think it'll be for me though. I'm saving my money for RDR2! It was a pretty game to play but I just got bored so much quicker with it...I still prefer Far Cry (anything other than 2) over Primal. I appreciate that they tried something different (and I enjoyed various portions of the game) but it just wasn't for me personally. Now a fully fledged Blood Dragon would be A W E S O M E! Benjo
Far Cry Primal was my first in the series and I loved it. Far Cry 5 is just as good IMO, if not better, due to its depth. I guess there is only so much you can do with a world 10,000 years in the past.

I don't mind games without guns, haha! I actually didn't think about them being missing in FCP!
