Glitching solo lobbies has effects on other players. As it was said and really cant be said in a more understandable manner is that by doig so you gain advantage in:

 - The amount of gold you can accumulate in time

- The amount of XP you can accumulate by for ex. gathering for madame Nazar using an internet map with spawns and rotations while there is no one else there to bother you.

The animal spawns are adjusted to the hunting role. In my view they didnt break the animal spawn system but they forgot to do the same while in missions. They had to adjust the animal sawns so that there would not be ridiculous amounts of gold earned via trader role. It has to be balanced in some way and they did that by decreasing the spawn a little.

I think the trader role is adequately balanced earnings-wise by the time it takes Cripps to process the goods. They didn't need to reduce animal spawns (and I don't think they actively did) as you only need a few kills before materials bar is full and you have no reason to hunt anymore. Even on busy servers I have no trouble keeping Cripps supplied, assuming I can actually set camp in the first place.

Animal spawns have mostly been affected by the servers being busy and everyone having camps set up. I thought R* had fixed animal spawns before (Spring?) but now I just think it was a downturn in interest of people playing the game.  Remember R* eliminated animals from GTA in order to prevent lag issues with the multiplayer online version? They still haven't found a solution to this problem.

Definitely.  couldn't agree more.

Thanks to resources on good ol RDR2.org I've identified and exploited several sleeping cougar spawns that regenerate every couple of minutes. Takes me no more than 30 minutes of actual hunting to get enough materials for a full large delivery wagon.

Cougars at 16.88 materials each add up quick. Need 200 materials total. And I haul 7 cougars back to camp Everytime. 5 in the wagon. One on my horse, one on a stolen horse from a nearby ranch in Cholla springs.

I readily accept that you and some others see glitching solo lobbies as cheating, just as I expect Rockstar does. Your prerogative. My "cheating" to glitch a solo lobby has no effect on you whatsoever, so I'm really not moved by that claim, one way or the other.

As individuals, we're cut from different cloth as I find "simply robbing you" as harassment, regardless of the context. Just because Rockstar allows people to be griefers doesn't mean they have to take advantage of it. That's a choice each player makes.

The game did not promote Online as some constant PvP only experience--which is what this game is unless it's glitched. So, yeah, I'm going to glitch to make the experience as close to the one that was advertised, as close to the one that I expected when I purchased.

Um.... what? You find being robbed as harrassment? The long distance delivery is LITERALLY DESIGNED to give people a chance to rob you, the risk you run for trying to make the most money. Its not harrassment, its not griefing, its LITERALLY what was intended by the developers. If you dont like big meanieheads taking all of your goodies, perhaps you should go play Flower Picking Simulator or something. This game is BUILT on the concept of being an outlaw. There is zero room for debate there, it is FACT. What you do to glitch into a solo lobby, is exactly that. A glitch and a cheat. You are cheating other players out of the opportunity to rob you, and you are deliberately exploiting loopholes to get yourself into your own server. You also WAY exaggerate the pvp aspect. It is not CONSTANT PVP as you claim. Ive been killed twice in 100+ hours in online by people i didnt start crap with first. Know what i did? I fought back and had fun, i didnt whine that someone pushed me down and stole my icecream. Have fun in your glitched, empty worlds, showing that AI who is boss.

Jeez, dude.

Although I agree with what you are saying, I personally try to use a little more tact when saying it...

@The_Liquor is right about tact.

I don't agree with Netnow's logic either on griefing (forcing yourself into solo sessions is a different story IMO as I've explained) but that's no reason to start insulting him about it.  Let's keep it civil, ok?

I didn't see your response until now. Sorry, I don't want you to feel you were being ignored, mainly because I feel that is what you and those like you seem to thrive on.

Some apologists for this game manage to handle discussions in a respectful manner. You obviously do not and responded exactly the way I would expect a griefer or bully to do (not that I'm calling you either). Because of your attitude, I feel that even trying to discuss something such as this would be a waste of both our time and efforts, so I really have no intention of discussing this with you further.

Yes, I and others will continue to glitch the game whenever we can.

For others who may be interested in how and why I formed my views, if you simply look at two quotes from the pre-launch materials for Red Dead Online, you might see why I feel many gamers have been misled. Some have already left the game because of the pro-griefing environment. Others have stayed and continue to try and alter the game to make it closer to what was advertised and what we spent our money on.

"Explore the world solo or with friends." (Odd that one of the first things said by most apologists for this game is to ride with others for safety)

"We also ask for your help in keeping Red Dead Online a fun and fair environment for everyone."

If comments such as that had never been made by Rockstar, there would have been less confusion. The Wild West Online game was at least honest about what it was. Rockstar couldn't manage that.

Apologists? Hahaha! The game is plenty broken and far from perfect. I am not apologizing for anything or anyone. You seem to be one of those that has some terminology for everyone who disagrees with you, even though youve openly admitted to cheating/exploiting. You are directly cheating everyone out of content. If anyone owes an apology, it is YOU for using exploits while others play the game as intended. If calling you out on your exploits makes me a bully.... lol, Im not even gonna say what Id like to say about that.

I was raised in a cruel, unprotected world. I do not pull punches, I do not suger coat turds to make them taste better. If that is a crime, then I am guilty as charged. If everyone here is a snowflake that can't handle brutal honesty, go ahead and ban me now. I could care less. Id raather be told the straight truth no matter how brutal than force fed a sugar coated turd. Wouldnt you?

Everyone has their opinion of what they feel RDO should be, should've been or is.  Whether insults are veiled with an intent to provoke or made outright, they are really unnecessary IMO.  There are more effective and constructive ways to communicate your points folks.

I think we are all better than that and it is what separates us from some other forums, social media sites, etc.

This thread has obviously run its course as it seems some folks will continue to take jabs at each other even I after I asked everyone to remain civil.  I'd like to remind folks that insults are not appreciated nor accepted in these forums whether that is toward an individual, group or the community as a whole.

Read above for the unvarnished, straight truth.
