Pre-order is Ordered

Trying to stay patient, I was shocked yesterday to get home and see that RDR2 was in my que doing the whole prep for the pre-order.  Turned out my wife and son decided that they would surprise me for my birthday in Oct.  Figuring they couldn't surprise me, they figured they would try to sneak it in when I wasn't looking.  So now I got till Oct to pretend I didn't see it and act surprised when they decide to reveal.

That must've been a nice surprise, they must know you well or maybe you just drove them mad talking about it.

If you get bored of pretending not to know you could always just mess with them and act disinterested in RDR2, fake a 180 and start talking about how RDR2's gonna be a disappointment and see how they react although that may be a bit of a dick move and it's unlikely anyone who's seen any trailers or info about RDR2 would believe you.

I am the time of fool to play into it. Like hint at pre-ordering the game to see my wife scramble. I don't have a wife, but if I did and she did this, I would screw with her. This is probably why I don't have a wife... Or a girlfriend...

You could always preorder a copy for me and I will pretend I don't know about it.

Could you imagine if this backfired though? Is there a way to get out of a preorder?... Cause I bet she would. lol

It's really funny cause my son keeps trying to show me and I keep getting distracted by something else.

That is so funny. I remember my parents having trouble keeping my mouth shut with surprises. You really couldn't tell me anything unless it was the day it was happening or I would spoil everything.

I was the worst as a child. I used to spend hours secretly searching for my presents, and when I found them I would then hint about wanting whatever they bought me for the next week, like if they bought me a football I would be like "Oh I really want a football" just randomly when I entered a room. Seems like a nice thing to do but I just cringe when I think about it now.

  • 2 weeks later...

I’d love to pre-order through Amazon, being as I’ve saved birthday and Fathers Day gift cards for the purchase. But they don’t have a digital copy yet?? That worries me. Anyone know what that’s about?

This is so cool, can't wait until my son is old enough to game with me!

I would be getting digital wherever I lived I think. Although I like the experience of opening a new game and having something to look at, within a few days the disk and box and everything inside it just becomes a pointless ornament, never to be looked at again until it comes time to sell it for $0.50.

Here's my problem with that: PS4 breaks, now what? All your downloads are gone?

Na your purchases are logged under your PSN account, same for XBL. You just login on your new PS4 and download them again.
