Wow dude... Calm yourself... Most of the comments were people actually trying to help you... Sometimes the obvious isn't so obvious... You wouldn't be having these problems if you followed some of the advice here.

Ever have a bounty hunt go as stupidly as this one? In my defense, it was about 2 am, and my brain had long since began to drift... I picked up a bounty mission in Valentine. Just had to go near Wallace Station, capture a woman outlaw, and return her alive to the Valentine jail. I had a $300 bounty on my own head in West Elizabeth (thanks a lot, Micah!), but it shouldn't be a problem, as I only had to step across the county line briefly. My first few attempts were all foiled by bounty hunters coming after me just as I was approaching my target. That would start a mission lock-down, and my target would disappear. I ran a couple of times, and stayed to fight (and die) twice. There were just too many of them. I decided to pay off the bounty and come back later. Went on to other stuff, and made enough money to pay off the bounty after a bit. I happened to be in Saint Denis when I decided to try again, so I took the train to Wallace Station instead of riding since it was so far away. Made it there only to discover that my horse did not follow. I tried camping and sleeping in hopes it would spawn nearby, but no luck. And for some reason, there is no stable within miles of this area. So I just went in on foot. I figured maybe she had a horse I could steal. She did not. I hog-tied her and started carrying her back to Valentine on foot. Let me tell you, it is a long, long trek! But maybe I would find a horse along the way. Hmm... where is everybody? I've been carrying this lady for MILES, and there's nobody around. I got about two-thirds of the way there, and finally someone comes by on a horse. Of course I shot him in the head to take his steed, but as soon as I do, I get the message: MISSION FAILED. YOU RECEIVED A BOUNTY. (Or something like that). Respawned, still without my horse, back near Wallace Station again. It was now about 3 am, but I was stubborn and stupid. Hog-tied her again, and ran her all the way back to Valentine on foot. Got a whole $25 for my effort, so I guess it was worth it, right? Arthur called it a night, and softly cried himself to sleep.

Just to chime in and add to what you said. There are TWO distinct and separate problems with RDR2 on PS4 Pro. 1 - 4K Checkerboard Rendering from a 1080p source is absolutely ridiculous. With an added, aggressive AA solution, resulting in a blurry image. It is absolutely NOT anything to do with TV settings. Because every other PS4 game looks BETTER than RDR2 on PS4 Pro. This is simply unacceptable from the highest profile game developer on the planet. 2 - HDR is fake. Not even just broken, but absolutely a FAKE implementation - this has been proven by measuring the color ranges in the supposedly "HDR" mode. But this is not only on Ps4 Pro. This is on every platform. And R* knows they implemented a FAKE HDR solution. It was no accident. And therefore they should not get a free pass because they LIED to their consumers.

It is pretty amazing the amount of in depth customization you have available to you in this game so let's see how you decided to dress, shave and style your Arthur! This is my outlaw as of last night. Trying to get that beard to max length. Digging the flat cap though. Sorry for the mediocre quality.

I don't get it, why can''t we: craft during missions.. seems ****ing obvious to me, craft some tobacco or something so we're not reliant on a tiny ****in little pool to which we get stamina or dead eye from. restart a god damn mission from the pause menu? you create this ridiculous criteria we're supposed to tick off, making the game a boring slog, but we have to find some random way of dying just to get the option to restart the piece of sh*t? having to manually reload to then reload the mission and waste more time. the missions are hard the first time, but we can't see the criteria and then when we can see the criteria you've already ****ed us, it then becomes a painstaking boring arduous game of navigating 500 menus and manually reloading and saving. in a game where any number of random things that can happen to completely **** you up. i can spend 9 hrs retrying 3 missions and it's becomming a chore, the amount of hours spent just wading through menus and plain oversight on rockstar's part is driving me nuts.

I sometimes watch those youtube tip channels, and from them I found out there's all kinds of stuff you can do in RDR2 that I had not noticed or overlooked. I'll stick a few down here now, and I encourage folk to post more as they think of them - anything, however simple, that folk might not realised Determine gun load out at gunsmiths Sit on edge of some cliffs Set a dozen waymarkers on the map (and go straight to map and back without multiple button pushes) Lasso and stab animals when hunting Toggle single push to run option in settings (along with other options) Rest at closed shops to jump to shop opening time Equip pocket watch for in-game animation time telling

Well, it seems R* is working on a "Title update" as they confirmed . It will include a fix for the missing camp members, let's hope it includes a patch for the graphics . To be fair, I shoot A LOT of things in this game. To quote Ash Williams: "Shoot first, think never."

That's a single shot (there's your problem). Use the repeater. I did this by shooting a bounty hunter (and his horse) and some bird that happened to be flying by (using a repeater). HOLD aim (L2), engage dead eye (right stick), press R1 over each target, then shoot (R2) - now you can release L2 Took me a while to figure it out, but it's actually extremely helpful. Get used to it, and you can easily kill 7+ targets at once (and look like a badass in the process).

Selling both Legendary and Perfect pelts to the Trapper unlocks the recipes for the clothing: you do not need to hold onto perfect pelts in your inventory. I knew this was true for Legendary pelts, but it holds true for perfect pelts as well. There are also a TON of side businesses to rob without incurring Honor penalties OR bounties. You just have to keep a look out for "irregularities" in buildings that indicate hidden or inaccessible rooms.

Or Blizzard for that matter. Because the world was clamoring for a Diablo mobile game....

Exactly. The town is a big no-no for guns. There are just too many witnesses, and you will be dead before you know it. However, if you're in a rural area, and you commit and murder, make sure you kill all the witnesses around you, or the law will be coming.

Good advice salty though I intend to hit max honor first, then go down Cheaper equipment is more use early in the game (rather than later), and avoiding crime/law better early too. Once got award for max honor, then go for bandit while going down in honor to hit max low

So I just got done killing the Legendary Fox and Coyote. I feel like most people forget that you can sell the whole animal its self but you don’t necessarily want to do that because you‘re loosing money. Any animal that you can pick up and stow on your horse you can do this with. When you kill the Legendary animal don’t skin it right away or if you do stow the skin first then the carcass, and ride to the trapper [IMPORTANT] Then take the animal off your horse and skin it. Next sell the legendary skin Now pickup the animal carcass and sell that to the trapper. [Example] • Legendary Coyote as a whole = $22.75 • Legendary Coyote Skin = $22.00 • Legendary Coyote Carcass = $11.38 You profit an extra $10.63 *Legendary Buck Profit = $13.25 Might as well do it Hope this helps y’all! [My Questions] If any of you guys have given the whole legendary animal to the trapper if you still get the dead eye experience levels and if it updates in the compendium as you skinning it therefore completing the animal 3/3? I'm 70% done, taking my time. I've even done all the bandit challenges, I've had my bounty up to $550. I not once have had an issue with bounty hunters unless it was intentional. Pay your bounties, sell some wagons or something. Unless you're playing as a total irresponsible bandito mass murderer, I don't see how this is possible. I've heard this and similar complaints only from people who don't fully understand the game mechanics or who don't want to actually put the work in and play the game. This isn't GTA. I think a lot of people expected this to be gta but with horses, and that isn't how these games are. I most certainly hope Rockstar doesn't start changing things just for mass appeal.

They disconect the chat function. I mean digital foundry. I´m not the only one that wrote a big message to digital foundry. I´m installing now my one x. I receive it for one hour. I hate the gamepad of the XBox Click, Click Click. It looks cheap to me. The quality of the ps4 pro controller is much better. I will write 4 Players and digital foundry again tomorrow. I´m really tired now of configuring and installing all the stuff on the box.

So I had a nice Thoroughbred he was brindle and level 3 or 4 on bonding and I’m extremely heated because he is dead after I had told him to flee. He fled and got out of there I stole the wagon for the doctor and died the first time. The second time I didn’t see my horse so I didn’t worry about it and left and when I got back to the doctor it said my horse was dead. I’m heated I paid a lot of money for him and I really liked him and I don’t know why he is dead after I took precautions and had him flee. Sometimes I think they took this horse perma-death too far.

I'm guessing you may have missed the message text that explains how Dead Eye changes at a certain level. At the start of the game, simply moving your sights over a target will paint the Xs on. After a certain level, you need to hit R2 for each X. This is actually an improvement on how deadeye works, since you can more carefully place on multiple targets. Edit - never mind. Seems you figured it out while I was typing!

Did you know that if you skin a legendary animal and die, you get credit from the Trapper?

Just realized yesterday that the "eagle eye" vision highlights lootable objects (bookcases, desks, etc). Also just noticed yesterday that dead eye highlights kill shots on animals. That's really helping with perfect pelts! (wasn't paying attention when it was explained, so I just started using dead eye in chapter 2...) @gigemaggs99 pointed this out to me, but I have yet to try it: I know I have a few more (probably obvious) ones that I was oblivious to. I'll be back!

ALWAYS. SAVE. THE GAME. I may spend a lot of time in the menu because I save all the time, but it's better than missing out on something important for a stupid reason. Accidents happen, it's nice to get a redo when you need it.

This is my current tv : SAMSUNG UE43NU7400 , RDR2 characters , depth and details of clothes look not only blurry but also without real basic detail on faces , clothes , game ,.....for a ps4 pro game . The previous one was a LG Full HD . God of war uses checkeboard as well and it looked great on the full HD tv without it , https://www.forbes.com/sites/kevinmurnane/2018/03/20/god-of-war-looks-gorgeous-on-the-ps4-pro/#dcf0e7f5a8f4, God of war looks amazing on my ps4 pro with the Samsung tv , just play god of war, use some of the abilities or walk in the snow or in a dark area, then play RDR2 , you will notice the difference ( see horizon zero dawn for the same reason ) . compare this to RDR2 and you know R* messed up. I am not a technician but if god of war and others can use checkerboard the way they did then R* should be able to do the same , They knew it before launch but had to get the deadline, on X box One X the 4K is great , therefore i believe all of the footage that is said to be ps4 pro was just taken from the X Box one X and launced as ps4 screens otherwise we would have seen it earlier . What bothers me the most is that they will launch the online feature first and a fix will probably not come within a few weeks when almost everyone finished the game and that review magazines and sites give 9'S and 10's for this game when it is obvious they blatantly lied to ps players and dont bother to release a statement otherwise then press L1 and R1 when you start the game . I'm not playing anymore till this get solved , if they dont solve it it will be the last game i bought from R* .

Instead of player overall, look in the separate health/stamina/dead eye subsections. . That's where they are.

Howdy there partner! I am around 50% as well. I been so busy with work that I am surprised I got this far. I wasn't expecting to beat the game till December but I have to be close to the end of the story. I will have to go back through and do all the side missions and what not that I skipped.

Take it as a lesson and do frequent manual saves! I ****ed up a few things before I decided to do it. The sooner you get into the habit of saving after anything important happens, the better.

When I notice I'm in a part of a mission where I'm free to roam and won't have bounty hunters shooting at me, I take the time to send a message (and loot). These were before I got that camera, so now I have a few selfies with the stacks lol I was unimpressed when I checked the xbox stats. It only shows time played, story completion, total completion, and # of gold medals. I would love to know the body count!

No reply unfortunately so far. Meanwhile got 2/2 gang hideouts found (1 was main mission), but still stuck on 3/4 camps found of O'Dricsoll gang..
