Remember the masks you can buy from the fences . . . ? Guess what I'm thinking for a future DLC . . . ? (and you know, you CAN equip a machete . . . ) @Vaderspupil, @BropolloCreed79, @NthnButAGoodTime, @TheHansonGoons, @Freddie Mercury 😁3 points

R* spelled out several specific ways that they are looking to help mitigate the griefing issue in future updates. @Stvnbgo Your first mistake was messaging the troll. I'm assuming you said something that violated MS policy which is why MS banned you for 3 days (second mistake). R*'s report feature in the game is a different story and isn't related to your ban. I doubt it would have even led to a ban of the player you had the problem with but I still believe it's important to report disruptive behavior. In the future I would suggest you report the player(s) and then block them if you are able. I know you can do it on PS4 but I'm unsure how that works on XB1. I'd also suggest refraining from any contact. At that point you will look like the one who is doing the harassing especially if you use colorful or intimidating language. If someone is bothering you for that long, join another session once you report/block them. EDIT: btw, I closed the other duplicate thread I believe you may have created by accident in this forum.3 points

They should do a "porcelain mask" that has vent holes and allows you to add designs to it. Would also be nice if we had the option for the eyes to be blacked out-- or not (a la Part 3).2 points

Heres a video I recently found of someone using exactly what I explained. The video is him fighting against posse using some sort of weird glitch. So hes not griefing. Hes defending himself. But, just take a look at what hes doing. Constantly using Slow and Steady and grabbing more hats everytime his gets shot off. Lucky for him the griefers didn't kill his horse..lol. That horse is the only reason he stays alive for so long. ...2 points

Here 's a more in depth look at it. They are mostly using Slow and Steady which makes them take less damage and head shots don't always kill them one shot.. They can't run on foot with this ON and riding on a Horse they can move quickly. Never without One. When they have a HAT on they take less body shot damage and they can survive a head shot. But without a hat on they take MORE damage. So everytime you shoot their hat off, they just grab another hat from their horse. Which only takes a seconds to put another hat back on when on a horse. So once you kill their horse and shoot his hat off. They now take more damage.. Even with Slow and Steady on (Now they can't move fast on a horse, they are on foot.) Slow and Steady now just makes them take normal damage. And without a horse they can't just grab another hat. I've been having to do this a lot lately. I hate killing horses but, it is what it is..lol2 points

Kill his horse.. Always kill the horse when you deal with players with that perk. They rely on their horse to keep getting Hats back ASAP. So it basically allows him to keep eating head shots. (He was probably using S&S too) Use a scoped weapon or hipfire./shotguns at close range is the easiest way to kill his horse.2 points

I'd not played much the last three days, but jumped in solo again last night. A meat-space mate popped over my house so we had a brandy and then another bottle. I wasn't really playing, just mooching and my game-play reflected this. I was in a saloon, sipping beers and whiskys, wandering about and waving to the NPCs. A real life person showed up. waved, had a beer. Then another. We all got hair-cuts and drank more whisky and before too long there were a couple of posses, all of us getting drunk and getting along. For fun we tried out the posse feud thing which was a laugh, everyone opting for fists and having a good old brawl. Every now and then I'd respawn away from my drink so would rush back into town, sometimes forgetting and blasting my sawn-off cos I was drunk in real life and it was a case of shoot first, open eyes later. More brandy in real life. More drinks at the saloon. It seemed like the entire server was in this bar just having a mooch. Are these all actual people, asked my mate Those updates appeared in the midst of all this but I was too 'tipsy' to notice any change. Good fun. So, woke up with a real, undigital hangover, loaded up the PS, cantered to a saloon, had more drinks and stood in the road, waving, drinking, and it happened again. People showed up, waved, drank, acted odd and good, punched a couple of pedestrians and galloped away. Good fun. I'm still there, I think. Rhodes? Dunno. Need tea and an aspirin.1 point

Buy it back in Valetine's stables. The DLC horses are the only ones that don't die true death. Any other horse is permanently gone when dead.1 point

In the screen before the match starts, while the teams are still forming, one of the options on the left hand side of the screen is "purchase". Select that and then select "all ammo". That will replenish all your regular ammo for your pistols, revolvers, rifles(including varmint), repeaters and shotguns. I believe it will even replenish your throwables including dynamite, firebottles, tomahawks and throwing knives. It will not however replenish express or high velocity ammo or any crafted ammo. You have to be quick though. You don't have much time before the countdown time ends and the match begins to load.1 point

This has been one of my favorite sites and the community in general here has been great. .....so when I was asked, I figured I wouldn't mind pitching in a bit where I can help. It was an MS ban to this Live account. I suspect the response the instigator received from the OP may have been a little heated and that was enough for MS to act. They are only seeing one side of the story since they don't see the reports made with the in-game reporting tool. ....just the reaction in MS messaging.1 point

have you done the Poisonous Trail treasure? that will get you 4 gold bars and other loot fairly quickly. I've not heard of any big cash like that other than the gold exploit. If you're on Xbox it's not worth it, you only get 2 bars. I've read PS4 players have gotten 30 or more bars, that would ruin the game for me, i like being poor and having to earn cash to pay off bounties and such. I did the exploit just to see and only got 2 bars, then had to restore a previous save and went back and just took the 1 bar. I'm playing the red hat though, so killing and looting, robbing, hunting, treasures, and missions has kept my coin pouch right around 3k since chapter 2, was much easier after getting the legend of the east satchel.1 point

Just gotta remember you're open to the same type of counter. Once your hat gets shot off, you take more damage. And S&S just serves to make you take normal damage without a hat on.. A good counter, without copying them is. Focus Fire, Peak Condition, Winning Streak, Unblinking Eye. If you're in a posse, even with one person with this set up. Focus fire will give everyone a damage boost. I like to swap my card load out all the time. It really catches tanky players off guard when I go full glass cannon. Sure, il die in one head shot. But I kill them like they are not using any real tanky perks. It sort of even things all out.1 point

*There is no invincibility cheat in Red Dead Redemption 2, nor do any of the cheats work in Red Dead Online. https://www.rdr2.org/cheats/rdr2/ That sucks... Looks like this is the closest we have now:1 point

Terrain affects this, make sure there's nothing too close to the front of the horse, and that the ground is flat, no debris in the way. If i remember right i had to lead mine away a little bit then pat it.1 point

Calm it a few times first, then you can approach and pat it before leading it out of the barn.1 point

Sorry to say, but sounds like you wont be playing for a while then. No private roam, no free aim roam. Feels like R* is not aware that a lot of there players are free roam pve players. Also when the new bounty system comes, what happens when i shot the griefer who tries kill me? Will i get a bounty on my head?1 point

I feel you, im so dissapointed with this game mode, it`s not even and update. Also no talk of gambling in the game. No horse fix, no exploid fix. Every thing on the update list they posted should already be in the game. But hey atleast the pvp players got a poor tiny battle royale. As a big fan of R* i just want to say this, boooo R* boooo1 point

Anyone saying that its an outlaw game, and you should kill and troll is stupid. Thats not how the wild west works. Thats how bad GTA multi player works. Real outlaws wouldn't kill randomly because there were consequences. All we ask is that there are severe punishments for trolls. Like being wanted and able to be killed for money by any player. And why not have a passive mode.1 point

Going by the update notes from today, it looks as if Rockstar isn't taking griefing seriously and not really going to address it, in the beta any way. My advice? Keep checking for updates to be released and hope Rockstar finally sees the PvE light--but find other games you want to play until that happens. I curbed my enthusiasm for this game once I realized griefing wasn't as egregious to Rockstar as it is to some of us players.1 point

Sure was simple, somehow I missed it has to be from behind. Hanging dog ranch is great for this btw. Hide in the brush take out the guy in the tower, then there's a walker to your right wait for him to turn away, etc. Got all 9 right there, only had to run and reset once, too about 20 minutes.1 point

^^^^ What Krow said.... Here are the latest details in the update from R* as to what some of those anti-griefing measures will include:1 point

People are only against the wall because Trump is pushing for it. Obama, Bush, Hillary and Bill, they were all for putting a wall up but couldn't figure out the funding. The only reason the tide has shifted on it is that Trump wants it. I am not a fan of the man but people are acting really fn childish on both sides over it. I am talking specifically about the politicians not the identifying citizens in the general public. I expect MORE of the government. Not them acting like children.1 point

You had me at Macallan. There is a steak house near me that specializes in Scotch. They have Mcallan dating back to the 1930's. My stash is in a globe, 12,15, 21 and 30 in there. Sadly my dead eye hasn't improved while drinking it.1 point

Yes, but do you have a dedicated Beer Fridge? Oh, I bet there's plenty to do. This isn't Marvel Heroes Omega As I am so fond of telling my kids, "The United States of America does not negotiate with terrorists". Begging your pardon, m'Lord, I doubt you saw down the length of your nose upon us humble peasants from atop your high horse: I suggest Fortnite. I somehow suspect that is not a tender, gentle love.1 point

That's hilarious report them ? You telling on Rockstar or Sony that outlaws are killing you heheh he dragged me a mile with his lasso I was just fishing minding my own business lol. Nobody likes a tattle tale and snitches get stitches :p1 point

Make sure you report them to Xbox thru their gamercard as well. That will prevent you from being put into lobbies with them in most cases.1 point

Have never tried lowering my flag at camp. You might be on to something here !! I like the idea of being able to grief a griever on occasion ! Lol ima try this.1 point

I'm totally ok with and agree with the missions paying less if they are completed in PVE/Private lobbies. But let's be real, shouldn't XP gains for shooting people that are not playing PVP be less as well? This is easy to monitor, XP only starts once both parties have fired on each other. Because if we're nerfing money on private lobby missions because it's less risk then we should definitely be nerfing XP for PVPrs that shoot people who are less of a risk because they aren't shooting back.1 point

I hate the online part of this game as it is at the moment, I have decided to not continue to play the online as it is. I would play if I could PVE with a group of friends and play missions together without other people shooting me all the time. This game is not mechanically made to be PvP, it is made purely to be PVE and that is why online feels so broken.1 point

First, get the legendary buck and craft the trinket at a fence. That gives you a chance to have a pelt upgraded. Seems to work 4 out of 5 times on small game and 3 out of 7 ish on large game in my experience. Next, study the animals, then press RB/R1 to view their info, that will tell you the preferred weapon to use to get a perfect pelt. Then use that weapon (don't use exploding rounds) and Dead eye for a headshot. If you kill a 3 star animal (you'll be able to see the star rating after studying them) you'll get the perfect pelt, or have the chance to have a 2 star upgraded by the trinket to get a perfect pelt.1 point

What? You expect them to just stand there and allow themselves to be shot?🙄1 point

That's near death screen movement. You'll see that in gun fights and pretty much anytime your health core is almost empty. Might be a setting in the options you can disable that with.1 point

The last 3 or 4 stagecoach missions i went on i just blew them up, was much easier. a well timed toss of the dynamite and boom, you got a busted up stage, dead guards, and dead horses to give you that red honor. you might be my thought was to throw him in the river downstream where it was deeper so he could learn to swim. What i liked doing was shooting lone horsemen at the river crossings then chasing their horse into the river and killing it to get the red honor, then watch them and see how far down stream they would float. Never did beat up the newspaper boy, shot him though, and he was selling papers the next day with his head and left eye wrapped in bandages. Tough kid.1 point

It is my understanding that a PSN block would achieve this. It basically disables the griefers' ability to network with you in any way whatsoever involving the PSN. They cannot send you messages, they cannot see your online status, and for this purpose -- they cannot be teamed up with you. You've seen how RDO's open world operates, it includes open chat with everyone on the server. PSN treats that as them being teamed with you (although the game also features "teams within teams" with the posse system). But the long and short of it is, in many years of playing on Playstations, I have never once seen a player that I blocked ever again. Today for the first time I was actually able to play in peace. Everyone on the server was just peacefully running missions, hunting, or whatnot. The few that wanted to open world PvP were actually mature and organized a specific location on the map for people that wanted to do that to go to and fight each other. But obviously PSN blocking is an imperfect system. It only lets you get rid of trolls after they've abused yourself or someone within your perception. Hopefully Rockstar will put in private lobbies or something like that very soon so that the hassle is eliminated to begin with.1 point

So am I to wait until they have the good will to fix the server to get money? Have you spent hours of your online time hunting and doing it legitimately so a random error disconnects you and you loose all your hunting progress when you are about to deliver the game? Mind you there is no prey running around 5M from a butcher, you need to go somewhere hunt what you want and go back, doing 1 by 1 just to be sure to get at least one is ridiculous. Or the game disconnects you after you bought a 400+$ gun and when you go back you don't have the gun but your cash was deducted from your wallet anyways? Sorry pal this game is constantly sending me "**** YOU" messages, I think I deserve at least a "**** you back" to the game.1 point

Actually... He looks like the kind of dad a mate would have who is always peeping weird looks at his son's girlfriend. He grunts and spits all the time. Drives an old beat up truck he's been fixing for 20 years and insists that all the colored folk need to move back to Africa. I look at way too many memes...1 point
