Yes, they were releasing hotfixes constantly but there are still some with certain issues.2 points

Oh I didn't know. I thought I have to just take it. They killed another player lots too. He ran over to me and waved. As in lets join up. But they killed him and he left. I killed the first one and they all came after me. I should do as you say and go defensive.2 points

All yeah. An i5 with that GPU is more than enough. To be honest, if I had to buy the parts all over again, I would go with a GTX 1060 equivalent card from AMD. Better value for the money and I would go with a Ryzen 5. I have a Ryzen 5 for a future build. Got it on sale for around $120.00 from Newegg.1 point

I think it's because everyone asks for money don't they. So when one doesn't and runs or drives off it's new to them 😄 I have a PS4 but haven't used it since getting the PC.1 point

Is it? It plays RDR2 fine so it will last me. I got the PC at the end of 2016 I think. I stopped playing on the PS4 then. Yours will run like a dream for sure yes.1 point

i5 with RX 480 is good gaming rig. Google say's the RX480 is the equivalent to a GTX 1060!. I have a desktop that I'm going to build over at my parents, I spend my weekends off over there and I have my consoles hooked up to a PC monitor at a desk at my apartment. Like an Esports setup. I have an i7 and a GTX 1070 8GB which I bought before the prices started going up. That should run Red Dead Online like a dream!. I just have to build the rig and get a desk.1 point

Go full throttle with trader. It's not even close. How much meat selling and hunting would you have to do to make $500-$625? There's a little bit of working up to the large delivery wagon, but once you get it, you're on easy Street. I feel broke when I have less than $15k. since animal spawns are inconsistent, people think it takes forever to fill a delivery wagon. I can't stress it enough, work the sleeping cougar spawns. Should take no more that 35-40 minutes of hunting to fill a large delivery wagon.1 point

I used to refuse stuff but that made them follow me around more. On GTA online. Was really odd.1 point

Unfortunately, people using mods to troll comes with PC gaming. I have GTA on Steam and the online is full of modders. But I have a lot of friends that mod online but don't troll or mess with anyones game. Personally, I don't mind if players mod online, as long as they don't mess up other players games. The problem with reporting them is that when they get banned, they have another account up in minutes.1 point

Not sure, but I know that they have been patching it. My issue was with the CPU and GPU. My gaming laptop is running an Intel i5 with a GTX 1050 TI 4GB. I couldn't run the game beyond low settings and even with those setting it was shuttering or freezing with graphics from the PlayStation 1 day's. I haven't followed the Steam release, but I'll read up on it.1 point

I only wanted to sell some cards ☺️ They fixed it now though didn't they? I had freezing at first. But the patches ironed that out. Shame you had issues though. I think the Steam one has had trouble too though hasn't it?1 point

Sounds like you had your work cut out for you. I had the game on PC, but had to get refund due to the launch issues. If the Steam launch goes off without a hitch and I may buy the game once the issues have solved. I'm currently playing on the Xbox One.1 point

You can report griefers using the in-game feature. You can also report them through R* Support (there is a sub section for it) and provide Feedback through their feedback site. I would also suggest using Defensive Mode when possible to also help mitigate their advantage over you in a fight while also providing you more options if you are killed.1 point

Ok, I'll try my hand at a basic how-to-fish for PC... - First off, bait determines what type of fish you'll catch. To put it simply: the food bait (bread, cheese etc.) is for small fish, the lures are for medium and large fish. I think the crickets and worms can catch medium fish too, but I never bothered with those beyond the story missions where they make you. Once you can get the lures, I use those for medium and large fish. (There are river, lake and swamp lures.) - Once you cast, you use the space bar to reel the bait in very slowly. The R anf F keys determine the speed of the reeling-in; R to speed up, F to slow down. In practice: usually when you cast, it'll automatically be on the slowest reel-in speed, so you just cast and keep the space bar pressed and it'll slowly pull the bait closer to you... - Until the fish bites. Usually it'll nibble a little first, then it bites. When it does, click the left mouse button to hook it. Figuring out the right time to click takes a little bit of practice, but not all that much, the visual and audio cues should be pretty obvious, and once you get the hang of it, it's really easy. - Then, very important, once it bites, release the space bar (stop reeling it in) until it stops trashing about. When the fish goes quiet, start reeling again. When the fish starts trashing again, stop reeling. That's how you break the line. - When you've hooked a fish and are reeling it in, that's when you need the R key to speed up the reeling. Otherwise it'll keep reeling in very slowly and it'll take forever. - So in practice: you hooked the fish, release the space bar until it stops trashing about. When it goes quiet, hold space again and tap the R key a couple of times to speed it up. When it trashes again, release space bar. Goes quiet again, hold space again, and press R a few times again. And so on, until you land it. That's the basics. - Then also: you'll see this tip pop up in the top left corner of the screen every time you hook a fish, I think. Something like, move the stick back and then reel in quickly while moving forward, or something. What this means in practice is: so you hooked a fish, it stopped moving, so you hold the space bar and press R a few times to reel in faster. Then start moving the mouse left and right. This will make your dude pull the stick back to the left, then move it forward again then back to the right, then forward again, and each time you do that, the fish gets pulled a few feet closer, and it'll considerably speed up the time it takes to reel it in. (I hope this makes sense, but I'm sure it will once you actually try it.) This is especially important when you hooked a big fish, otherwise it takes forever. And that's pretty much it, really. It's very easy once you get the hang of it. Oh, one more tip: if you use Eagle Eye (CAPS Lock) with the rod equipped, or even while fishing, you can see the fish under water. This is very useful to determine if there are fish, and what size they are, so you can decide on what bait to use. Hope this helps. Happy fishing!1 point

Buy the largest scope available per weapon... the only weapons that lock you into "scope" aiming mode are the rolling block and carcano... you will be able to toggle back and forth with the rest1 point

Fishing is pretty basic. Once you go through the thing with Jack, you should be able to fish freely. This video might give you some help on things though:1 point

Quite honestly, I never could get into the old Online. The current version is much more immersive to me. And yes, I do agree it would be a little better without ability cards and explosive ammo (or at least make explosive ammo so difficult to make you can ever really only get a small handful at a time). But I won’t go as far as to say it’s unbalanced... Just a little too over the top. Personally I’d he happy with a pocket full of plain old lead bullets and the ability to kill or be killed by a well placed shot by anyone... But I’ll take it as it is when it means I can make my customized character and carve out my own little immersive fake outlaw life in the old west.1 point
