  1. So, I usually send Rockstar a note once a week after a Tuesday update bothering them about the current state of the game, pestering them about communicating better with us. I had said to them, you put out a newswire weekly yet say nothing about the number 1 question from nearly every player currently playing the online game, when are you goign to fix this issue? what are you trying? when will you try it? why wont you try these suggestions,? etc.... and I usually get the exact same reply, stay tuned, we are aware, etc.... Well after a lengthy back and forth with them last week that lasted til today, after explaining to them that fixing gold glitches and ignoring animal spawns is discouraging for players, preventing solo lobbys yet immediately fixing a duplication glitch isnt a good look. anyway, my last reply from Rockstar came this morning, in it they said this, I am going to copy paste their words. " we would like to inform you that these issues will be fix along with new patch," Now, we were talking about Tuesday's weekly updates just before this, so to me and I said this to them, it looks as though he is saying this weeks update may contain a bug fix for the animal spawns and server issues. I cant be sure obviously for all I know he meant a patch that is coming down the road or in a certain amount of time, but it does give me hope. It is the first time they ever said anything other than the same old nonsense, stay tuned, we are aware of the problem etc.. I had made suggestions, create a "Hunting mode" and allow players to join a session that is capped with 12 players and a 48 hour in game time frame, then booting them back to the server they were on prior to starting the mode, or just limit servers to 12 and see what happens, etc.. as well as several other ideas we floated, but in the end, they never tried anything, rather they are working on it on their end and hopefully will roll it out to us very soon, I feel like it is too good to be true that it will be tomorrow so I am not getting too excited, but it might be. Let's wait and see what tomorrow brings. Tomorrow does bring to those of us on XbX the new added content for both online and story mode that pc and ps4 got a month ago, so there is that, but who knows, perhaps we will be lucky and they will also roll out a fix for the animal spawns, fingers crossed.

  3. Don't be selfish, when eating your stew give some to the dog and he'll wander over and piss on Cripps leg.

  4. I have found I get it if I try to go to "online" and switch areas to do the ghetto quick travel. Any time I want to change areas or lobbies, I have to exit the game and choose it from the initial log in page. When I disconnect, I exit the game for the same reason, though I usually only get the option to quit the game anyway. It is a reported bug for PC, though I have heard of other issues like this as well. No ETA on it from RS that I know of.

  5. I haven't played console in some time but when I do, it is just a basic full HD LG tv. I can't remember the specs. I got it on sale at Bestbuy for $300 I think. I mainly game on PC and use a full HD acer monitor, 24 inch I believe. I have yet to upgrade to 4k. For me, personally, I don't see the point. Things do look better but not enough to upgrade. I don't work with photo of video editing so a 4K monitor isn't needed for me.

  6. Maybe it's to help (some) colour blind people? I know some games have been trying to keep them in mind lately. Blue and red might contrast well enough that it's less of a problem. Though the pink and red thing might not be much use!

  7. I was just going to mentioned a chair and I see someone had. I want more interactive hand to hand combat style options. Chairs, bottles, even tables. Give us the option to just cause a riot in a pub. Nothing is funnier in game then a drunk fight.

  8. I have experienced this with a few different game modes on GTA V as well as Rockstar. People in your region are likely not playing it. I don't know why and I don't know what can be done about it. You could try changing your region temporarily to see if that does anything for you.

  9. Nah Rockstar doesn't care anymore. I see it happening from time to time. Sometimes I get randomly TP'd into a group of people doing it. The way money works is effectively like giving someone a cut of your business earnings. I don't think they can track and ban people for it even if they wanted to.

  12. Recently I was playing RDR2 Online and spent an absurd amount of time finding a wagon to hack the game a bit by catching a ridiculous number of fish and loading them into the cart to sell them off. As I headed to the butcher I got to the border of Saint Denis to see about 8-10 players all hanging around that part of the map and I was convinced all of them would see me hauling this load – at least one would try to kill me and take the cart right? Oddly enough, no. These were mostly single players with maybe one posse in the mix. All of them doing their own thing. Looking at me, sure, but moving on without a second glance. Even as I parked by the butcher and made my dozen or so walks back and forth to sell each fish, players came and went selling their own items. One or two noticed what I was doing. But not one player even so much as approached me antagonistically. (That sh*t would never happen in GTA Online) Rockstar seems to be creating a new type of online experience that puts a stronger emphasis on immersion and roleplaying than almost anything I’ve seen out there. The most surprising part is that so many of the players are embracing that. While I admire and respect what the hardcore roleplayers out there are doing in creating scenes and scenarios, the structure they create is a little too much for my playstyle. I’ve posted previously seeking players who share a similar view but I think I haven’t been able to articulate it well enough. I think the best way to describe it would be something like “Roleplay Light”. “Diet Roleplay” didn’t’ sound as good. 😉 I hit a wall with playing online a couple of weeks after it’s beta launch and then only played sporadically to see what updates were being added. As new content is created and no doubt that Rockstar is going to provide the players with more than enough things to do in this new experiment of a game, I find myself playing more and more. But the big updates are coming and now seems like a good time to start finding other players that want to explore the game in the same way that I do. The way I enjoy playing is very much the way I described in my previous post seeking “chill players”. But I guess to elaborate on that I just want to play with people who interact with the world the way they would if they were actually there. Essentially just playing the game in character. I like to walk most places over running if there isn’t combat going on. Same case with riding on my horse (though I will gallop at a steady pace or full on run in cinematic if I’m covering a long distance). If I come across a gang hideout, mission, or an attack, I like to play it low and slow – taking cover, picking off targets with a little bit of strategy, coordinating with other players, etc. Same with missions. Rather than just grinding for xp, money, and gold (which has its time and place too), I want to take my time and enjoy the game. And from what I’m seeing a lot of random players doing on the map, a lot of them are into something similar. So that’s kind of the idea. I don’t have any kind of age or level restrictions. I have a mic but I don’t always use it and don’t expect anyone else to have one or get on there with their best southern accent to talk like a cowboy (but by all means go for it if you want and I’ll probably play along). I’m a pretty non hostile player who leans heavy towards PvE and cooperative play but a shoot out session can be fun now and then. I rarely start that kind of thing but I’ll go with it as long as it doesn’t feel unbalanced (my roommate and I were attacked by a six person posse for 20 minutes straight the other day – not really a fun time). My psn is the same as my screenname here so feel free to add me and mention this post in your friend request. I’m CST if that matters to you. Even if you’re not looking to do all of what I mentioned above you can also add me if you’re just looking for a friendly player for co op play or hunting and fishing. I’ll see you out there.

  14. I had a similar situation. I found a canoe near Shady Belle. Used that to get near other boats as I made my way to the island. Saw an opportunity and jacked a small steamboat. That was awesome, I caught the legendary fish from the small steamboat.
