I think Harry is surprised that Rockstar didn't accurately model the curvature of the Earth. Buying a curved monitor may help here.2 points

Yeah, there's always a risk with new consoles but Playstation has had a relatively decent track record and Sony in general for me. I didn't have problems with my PS3 nor my PS4 except for the noisy fan issue years later which is mitigated by cleaning. I don't think you need to wait a year to get a good gauge on any problems Sony or Microsoft is having on their next gens, but it's understandable why some would hold off. I'm not a brand loyalist either but my PS consoles have been solid performers and my Sony equipment in general. My network of gaming friends are all on PS as well so that play into it. ......and then there's the backward compatibility with all he PS4 games I have. In regard to the private chat recordings, I think it's being blown out of proportion by some to be honest and like it or not, we've always been bound to their ToS when using their system for chat. Sony will not be actively monitoring conversations. This feature is only to allow others in the party to report participants being abusive to them. Sony will review and take action if their ToS has been breached. ....so unless you're throwing around racial slurs, threatening to SWAT someone, etc., it's not likely to be an issue. Besides that, how many people do you invite to a party chat that you aren't already acquainted with? Those kinds of people I only interact with via in-game chat if at all. .....which again, many game companies will allow you to report for the same concerns. The only people I'm involved with in party chat are friends of mine or friends of friends. ......and I'm never abusive to them anyhow beyond joking around (as we all do) so it's really a moot point in my case. Having said that, I don't get why this is even a thing in party chat given that I doubt most even invite random people. Is this something they discovered was a problem? I honestly don't see how it could be to be honest. In-game chat is one thing as you can't control what others say besides reporting and muting them, but party chat is controlled by the host. You have the ability to boot them from the chat session, make it private so they can't join, block the user, etc. Do they really need a way to report someone in party chat? .......I don't think so personally but it also doesn't bother me given the reasons I mentioned. I'm not at all worried about this feature being used against me but then again, I'm not playing with random people I don't know or that I can't gauge how they would react. btw, the new system only records the last 40 seconds so it's not as if someone can use it against you later if you have a falling out, etc. It has to be then and there as it occurs. .....but again, I'm not worried as everyone in my PSN friends list aren't a bunch of SJW's, etc. that are easily offended. They'll just delete you from their friends list and block if they find you annoying. .....easy peasy.2 points

The good thing is that there's going to be customisable side panels for sale (or you can just spray the stock white ones I guess). Mine will probably be hiding away somewhat behind my TV console so won't stand out like a giant white thumb. The party chat thing doesn't bother me (I have no friends on the PSN and don't really do online stuff). On Xbox, it was good to compare my achievements with my friends and pass a few messages, but that was about it. I'm of the age and upbringing where I don't cuss at people online (people can cuss at me, but that's their problem). I just finished my first play-through of TLOU2 - just need to play through a second time to pick up the last two trophies - I might do that on the PS5. I recall seeing mention in a YouTube somewhere that game developers hid stage loading in cut-scenes or lift journeys. It's going to be interesting to see how games use cut-scenes or whether they'll allow the players to go keep on playing. Hopefully, we won't get too many more 30 second lift scenes any more (or 30 seconds of grunting a stuck door).1 point

I am relaxed but to be honest, I could do without the condescending remarks. The only reason I gave you the warning was because I saw a new guy necro-bumping an over 1 year old thread for the obvious purpose of trolling community members who take issue with griefing in-game. This is already an obviously contentious, long-standing concern in the RDO community so much so that R* early on has taken steps to mitigate through many updates, in-game mechanics, etc. throughout RDO's life. As I've already said but I will repeat for clarification, I don't care what you do in the game (I really don't) but I do take issue when someone tries to troll members in these forums. I was being courteous by approving your first post and explaining that to you vs. going with my gut reaction, deleting it and maybe following up with a warning so I don't have to go through all of this. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer but I really don't want to get into an argument with someone in a public thread regarding issues you may have with our forum rules or moderator decisions. Otherwise, carry on. Thank You1 point

Nowadays I only make a batch if there is a daily challenge that I can complete by doing so - either to deliver, make money or drink a moonshine & sometimes 1 batch can do all 3!! For a successful delivery my tips are:- 1] Locate in Bayou NWA - much flatter delivery roads although there are some bridges 2] Equip a rifle that allows the scope to be turned on & off so u can take close shots easier than trying to find the target when scoped [especially riders] 3] Always stop just short of roadblocks & kill all the Revenue Men before proceeding - you can then loot & proceed if you so desire, unless it's the 5 minute timed one. 4] Use the Auto-Drive feature - this makes switching the scope off even more useful as you can keep an eye out & go scoped when they arrive on horseback 5] Slow on the approach to bridges & crawl over them slowly This should increase your success rate - I can generally do all the Bayou NWA deliveries with more than 5 minutes to spare [especially if I don't bother looting] arriving with all bottles intact1 point

This role could be so much more in my opinion, plus...there is some serious math issues with the delivery system... First of all, let's say you are doing a special delivery that equates to $247.50 if you deliver 20/20 bottles. This would qualify you for a $200/$200 role daily if you did it. BUT...if you break ONE bottle, you lose $60.00 in that delivery. ONE BOTTLE. That's pretty easy to do, especially if you are trying to do the mission with 5 mins remaining. The math here is messed up (and completely unforgiving.) Because if ONE bottle is worth $60.00 than 20 should make the delivery worth $1200.00... but @ $247.50, that means that each bottle is worth about $12.50...so how they come up with such an unforgiving penalty, I don't know. There is a lot missing in this role when it comes to income. Especially after you've put forth all the effort to upgrade everything. The story missions on this role are great, and I think that's probably the best part, but they really do not seem to pay off in the slightest. I think when the owner of the shack is either playing with the band, or bartending, there should be a slight income from patrons. Not all the time, just when you're in there interacting with the environment you created. They could also do a hosted poker game that your shack makes the dealer cut on.1 point

Some things that I have from my well over a year of playing My friend ended up sliding down the seat and clipping inside of me for most of the ride... A posse picture that we took. I'm on the right. I'm not sure this one needs any explanation. Took this bad boy in story mode, actually And of course, one of my favorite images that I have from this game. Took this bad boy a while ago.1 point

The most efficient way to do the moonshiner role is : 1. Do a story mission - choose the 3rd one on the boat. This mission is easy, takes about 12 to 15 mins and gives about 1,5k xp 2. Do a moonshiner mission and get back to moonshine shack. This action will reduce the mash cost to 10 RDO$ and deliver 2k xp. 3. Set up the moonshine - i only choose special moonshine when there is a daily mission for it. IMO its not worth to sacrifice a colectible for 20 rdo$ more on the shine. Its better to keep the colectible and deliver the sets to Madame Nazar. If you want to make the best mash everytime tho - choose the one with carribean rum - its the most common to find. 4. When delivering the mash use auto drive as u mentioned but controll the speed especially on bridge enterance or exit. For me slow trot works the best. Keep in mind that the wagon also auto drives when you press and hold aim. This way you can drive and shoot the agents without problems. After you deliver without breaking you get about 937 xp for the delivery of 2* shine. 5. Repeat the process. Overall moneywise its close to Trader but exp wise better than trader.1 point

I know I'm a bit late to this party, but as a new shine runner myself, I've come up with a couple tricks to make the job a whole lot easier: 1) kill revenue men on the map... apparently, these encounters will increase the laziness of the revenue men's recruits... if you do this, stop at the check point, and wait. and wait... and eventually he gets bored and lets you go... you got about a 50-50 that they stop the wagon, and another 33-33-33 chance that if they stop you, they ignore you and let you go, they take 1 bottle, or they start shooting. if you do not stop if they say to stop, they WILL shoot, and they aim not for you, but for the wagons horse (or the wagon if it's in the way) which is costly 2) poisoning rival stills reduces the shine cost of the next batch to 30 AND speeds it up. Either via Maggie's quest, or finding one in free roam. blowing it up reduces the cost by 10. 3) Autopathing is your friend! if you play on PS4, hold down the touchpad till it goes into cinnematic mode and just spam (x). your wagon will follow the road flawlessly, avoiding all bumps and ruts in the roads. just be sure to exit cinnematic if you approach revenue blockades or your destination, as your wagon doesn't make that final turn off the road, but pulls over on the road. 4) last bit of advice applies to all wagons, and it took me a (long and frustrating) while to figure out... R1 is the break, but its also the button that, when stopped, you can hold down to back the wagon up. 5) bring a friend... driving is hard when you also gotta shoot n defend your wagon. therefore, bring a friend with you and they'll earn some money too. one of you shoots, the other can then focus on steering the wagon away from all those nasty bumps and rocks that break your shine bottles. square button tosses the reins to your friend, so if you need someone else to drive (afterall, a shine runner's gotta make sure the product they sells good quality) having a friend along also deters some solo griefers, causing them to steer towards lonelier prey.1 point
