When's the damn news coming and what will it be?!

Too late, August is here. Where is the news? -
John Marston is playable,Here's why
YodaMan 3D replied to Nima021King's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Or maybe in Dutch's gang that is a symbol for a position of power, right hand man type thing. You know only the most masculine males in the group gets to wear a purse the whole game. -
Where is Abigail Marston? (Theory & Discussion)
YodaMan 3D replied to Mattdrenaline's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Usually not, but I have seen in games where there will be a cameo appearance from a previous game and you will see differences. Besides it may just have been a mistake in creation for this game. Someone may have dropped the ball trying to make her prettier and didn't think the fans would notice those details. -

That could be her, but the artist didn't pay enough attention in creating the young version vs the older version. The mole and eyes could just be an error in creative details. -

1. The release date is still on. 2. There is another delay. 3. RDR2 is so much fun that the Devs quit decided not to release it and keep it just for themselves. 4. That on Oct. 26, is the release date for the Remastered Edition of RDR. 5. At Rockstar, they put RDR2 up to keep it safe and no one remembers where that safe place is. Considering with every Rockstar game I have ever bought, I have always seen the hype train running a little bit. This being the game of the year that everyone seems to be talking about. I would think they would be saying something. -
There has been people who have issues with the violence. Feel free to ask Rockstar, they have been targeted by many angry parents. Of course same parents who bought their under age children a rated M for mature video game . Now who do you think those angry parents are going to be angry at when they walk in a little Jonny playing and learning how the world works while he is also learning about his body. Like I said I don't think anyone here will have a problem with it, but the parents of little Jonny might and I am sure they won't take the responsibility when they find out about the game. A few Christmases ago at Best Buy, a couple of mom's in front of me in the line discussing GTA5 and how a 10 year old boy was going to be so happy to get it. This was a year or two after release. I gave them the highlights of each character, especially when Trevor got to town. The game got put back, at least till the other decided her husband might like to play it.

Recently I was playing SoD2 and they have a stamina thing going in the game. I understand the immersion, but I have limited gaming time as is and would prefer not have to rest before my character can play cause he is too tired.

Replaying RDR and getting Psyched for RDR2
YodaMan 3D replied to YodaMan 3D's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
With some people you can give them the right answers to every problem and they won't be able to see it or learn from it. Sometimes seeing the problem in yourself or in someone else allows them to deal with it 1st hand and then they have seen and/or learned from it. Maybe at some point he realized that Dutch or the other gang members were going down the wrong path, maybe getting shot and left by the gang / his family at that time, maybe coming close to death and realizing how much Abigail and his kids really meant, or a combination of all of them made him realize that where he was in life wasn't where he wanted to be. So he changed. I know people from my youth that was juvenile delinquents and figured that they would spend most of there lives either in prison or dead. One became a cop and one the became a minister. They both turn their lives around, each for his own reasons, but they went from always making wrong choices to making right choices and helping others. In conversation with the cop, he told me it could have went either way. He met his wife and at the time she lived in a bad neighborhood. He wanted to protect her, so he became a cop and changed his life. The minister stated he went down some dark roads of life and realized that all his friends at the time were in prison or dead from some kind of overdose. Decided that wasn't who he was and went seeking help and now he helps others. -
Well, we can it whatever you like or call it whatever you like. As long as one player can buy something that gives them an advantage, is a pay to win. Whether or not a player can still earn becomes a different matter if you can't earn it cause the guy who bought the advantage is griefing you and keeping you from gaining the same thing. Unless you are in private server, I have been helping another player in a MC Mission and had players nuke us with the fighter.

Replaying RDR and getting Psyched for RDR2
YodaMan 3D replied to YodaMan 3D's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Thanks for the answers. I knew most of them already. Now during the train ride at one point Bonnie gets up and walks past John. I assumed she got off the train at that point, at her ranch. -
In-Game Character Relationship Development

Once again, it really did cut into the game play for me. Trying run missions and still make time for the extra stuff. -
In-Game Character Relationship Development
YodaMan 3D replied to Cokeyskunk's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
They kind of did that with Skyrim, and then by the point my character chose a wife and got kids. I was so busy running missions that it was a huge pain to deal with the family and run missions. I was never home. -
This weekend I started playing RDR, hoping to get psyched for RDR2. As I was playing somethings came to mind. How long was John out of the Gang? Did the others know he was alive? Cause wouldn't the gang just come to Beechers Hope and try to recruit John back or use it as a hideout. How did they not cross paths before John started hunting them? John hunts in Tall Trees area all the time, at least when I played him he did. Maybe I just didn't remember the story well, but I thought John got caught after being shot after the botched robbery where he got shot. Was that correct? So Bonnie saw John on the Train, assuming she got off at the stop at her ranch, what was Bonnie and Amos doing by the Fort when they found John? Not much that I could see a rancher and her ranch hand would need out there and it would have been way out of her way to just be driving by. Why take him back to their ranch? Wouldn't have been better just to drop him off at Armadillo on their way home. Back then $15 dollars was quite a bit of money. How exactly did John do to pay them back? John rides round the ranch, kills a few rabbits and coyotes. John helps them herd cattle a few times. John then helps them capture some wild horses, (supposedly, I mean you look that there is a ranch nearby one time and Armadillo the next), just saying they may not have be wild. Then Bonnie gives the keeper to John afterwards, ( which back then a good horse was worth killing over back then.) Saves Drew from the barn fire and Bonnie after she was kidnapped. I appreciate and respect that John has so much love and loyalty to his family, but most people would have figured Bonnie is here, I can tap that and the wife would never know.

To me if you can buy something and it can be used to give you a heads up over other players, it is pay to win. GTA:O follows that to me. I did take a break from GTA:O and when I returned I knew players that was using Shark Cards to buy those jets I hate so much so that they could just fly over and blow others up. I also understand that not all players took the easy route and they earned it the hard way. Yet upon my return that seemed to be the way it was and for me being almost new to the game had a very difficult time earning money. So much that I didn't want to play the online game. I stuck it out and met a few players that was willing to help me out and when my son wanted to play, it became harder to help him, cause the game had more and more players that low levels using these same high level weapons and gear. To me that isn't competitive or fun for those who become the victim, while the others have a blasts knowing they can't die nor is there anything that can be done about it by the people they are harassing.

What online options would you like to see?
YodaMan 3D replied to DaveSpeek's topic in Red Dead Online
I would like the online options to be the same as RDR, where I can just PvE or PvEvP. My son and I tried once to play GTAO, he had asked for a booster pack where he got the CEO, Hanger, and MC Club. 1st mission we did, I invited some friends was doing well in the mission and another player showed up with a tank during our mission and we failed. The other two just laughed it off and made comments like funny that was. My son didn't play for about a month. Just saw he had logged on about around the 1st of the month. Sorry not a fan of griefing and not a fan when it happens to my kid. Hoping this weekend he will want to try again and we find a few good players that will want to roll with us. He has been sticking to the MC Club and doing the easier missions there. -
My family pre-ordered it for me and I still don't know. *wink wink and it is driving my son insane, has even got on my xbox and clicked on it so it gives that warning about how I have to wait, that I tried to access too early. Oops! I accidently shut the xbox off by mistake and missed the whole thing. I must admit it has been a lot of fun between him and I building upto the release of the game.

I have to say like the others, if it really doesn't advance the story, well it doesn't need to be in there. I for one usually skip those scenes, never know when my son may be watching or even walk in the room. It would require "The Talk" and really don't want to have it started by something he sees in a video game with corrupt morals. But hey, that's just me.

You must not be playing too many games online, cause that seems to be all that games are now. How do I mess with your game generation. Players seem to have more fun trying to ruin your fun, they actually try to have fun on their own.

Why is Strauss Zelnick downplaying RDR2?
YodaMan 3D replied to NewsBot's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Down playing it just maybe part of the old prepare for the worst and hope for the best thought process. GTA5 turned out to be a gold mine, if they expect the same of RDR2 and it isn't then it turns out to be a let down. If they set the bar low and he proves to be another gold mine, then no one ever gets upset. -
