Really Need Be Able To Keep Pelts/Hides Stowed On Horse
YodaMan 3D replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
There is always someone watching. Big Brother is ALWAYS watching you. Which is funny, I have done this before and immediately got a wanted level, law got so bad after killing a few I had to leave town till it calmed down. Meanwhile, riding along and a NPC got mad at me, so I killed him and his friend. Meanwhile several nearby NPCs just ride on by while I start looting. -
Wish I could feel positive by this info, yet I don't. Homestead would be nice but I am sure with a Rockstar economy, it will be way overpriced. As for wagons, will be nothing but a griefers tool for online play.

I admit I really like these suggestions, but tell me exactly he is suppose to find the time. Packing up and moving my campsite to try to keep me from ever reaching it is a high priority on his daily to do list. I personally wish he would just be doing some crafting for me on the side. Where as I bring in the supplies and crafts them into something remarkable for use.

I agree and you are 100% correct that it needs reported. Just from my experience, some day 1 issues that the Devs can't resolve and push it off as acceptable casualty. Seeing how I know some players as well and myself have already reported these issues and I haven't had it as bad as others. Starting to feel it is on their ignore list. I understand why some players just get tired of hoping for the fix, when it just isn't in Rockstars budget to fix it.
-
@Kean_1. I agree it needs reported, but to be fair this a day one issue and for some getting worse as times flies. At some point Rockstar is doing nothing but ignoring these messages cause they apparently have no answers.

how i imagine a remake for rdr1
YodaMan 3D replied to hotdiggitydog's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Hindsight being 20/20, the way they ended it with John makes sense when you look back at RDR1. We don't know Charles went to Canada and had a family. Sadie we don't know if she made it to South America. John was the easy target, he had family, he had settled down. Ross was a prick, but a smart prick that knew how to play the game. Chasing the 1st two could take years and who knows if Ross had the desire to chase them. He apparently knew where Bill and Dutch was, maybe Javier. So he uses John and if John dies, Ross gets to add murder of John to the heap of charges against these fools. -
Comcast? Problem solved! I haven't known anyone who has Comcast that doesn't complain about it. Taking your time is a risk and a greater one more often for some then others. Yet the money and xp is worth it. Sad part is you have to deal with these issues cause Rockstar hasn't, internet providers haven't, so it falls on. Good Luck and hope stuff gets fixed for you so you can enjoy the game more.

What is the actual penalty for people griefing?
YodaMan 3D replied to DiamondDave's topic in Red Dead Online
See I have seen more griefers higher in age, I would say 20s to 30s. They are usually in a posse of 4+ and higher levels. I think it just really depends on what servers you get on. I know others who have different results. -
Don't get too excited. Some one stated that Marcostyles has already pointed out that they still haven't fixed bugs carried over from TD. Others have stated that they haven't dealt with the CronusMax users and starting to sound as if they are going to ignore them all together. They still have spoke about their anti-cheat and players supposedly didn't see anything like that in the Alpha nor does it sound like the Beta will have it either. Keep your eyes wide open, cause with Ubisoft it is never what they say that matters, which is nothing. It is what they aren't saying and how they execute that nothing.

Really Need Be Able To Keep Pelts/Hides Stowed On Horse
YodaMan 3D replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
1st. Don't lose your cool. 2nd. Change servers or back out and comeback in. What I have seen and now this isn't ALL the time. There are times when if it is on your horse, when you come back in. It may still be on your horse. Then again it may not, try this a couple of times and you might be surprised. The reason I say that is this. This weekend, I had been hunting, I usually don't hunt long between Butcher visits. Don't trust others, my loss of a horse full of pelts means nothing to them. Where as they mean more to me especially when I just spent hours hunting 3 star pelts. Which is not easy for me to find. Any who, I was on my way and see a hideout. So I say to myself, "Yoda, you know there just might be a treasure map being held in that there hideout with your name on it. And yous, be pretty good about taking those out without dying. Much?" What can I say, a person whose talking to himself doesn't have a lot of self confidence. In case you all missed that, last was said to be funny, quit being so dang serious all the time. So I take down all the bad guys and have just the leader left and I have hopped off the old horse to loot a body. I made sure the map was clear, I check it pretty regular, just in case. It was at this point that I see Rockstar, bless their soul, they felt Good Ol Yoda was lonely out there by Tumbleweed and spawned him a real life A hole to keep him company. This A hole lived up to his nickname that I assigned him. Killed him twice before he finally got me and that stupid Leader of the camp was still alive. So the A hole killed me, killed my horse, and last but not least killed the leader. So I got mad and left the server, knowing I had too much to lose. Yet I stayed and paid the price and lost it. A few hours later logged in and my horse still had all the 3 star pelts. So I went and sold them. So afterwards, I went out and tested my theory and didn't prove a dam thing. Other then sometimes you may lose or keep your pelts and there is any dam rhyme or reason that I could get to always keep them or lose them. It just seemed a little random. I died to others and I died to NPCs, whether people or predators. Sometimes I would lose it all or keep it all. Good luck! -
What part of the story did you not like?
YodaMan 3D replied to riptide87's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
For me that was where the side quests became too important. I did most of them Arthur, so afterwards I eliminated those tasks. -
WEEKLY FORUM EVENT (Race to Fort Wallace)
YodaMan 3D replied to RED_DEADMAN's topic in Red Dead Online
Cool idea. Sounds interesting. As I am on xbox, I can't participate. Yet I have a question, how do you keep players from cheating? The honor system doesn't work. Getting that many players on 1 server could be tough, but tough. Joined some randoms that raced from Tumbleweed to St. Denis, which was fun. Especially when you still had a large part of the server not participating. Their involvement became a game changer. Yet we had 1 player that fast traveled several times to keep gaining the lead and it became obvious what he was doing. Now the carriage thing was obvious smart choice, but is there a specific route you want them to take and how will you monitor it? -
Expansion pack ideas — War of the Worlds
YodaMan 3D replied to Mr. Duk's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
I loved undead nightmare, but honestly. We been there done that. Please move one nothing to see here. Now some mentioned Unholy Nightmare, vampires, werewolves, frankenstein type monsters. Why others have mentioned more like Aliens or even time travelers, referenced to "Back to the Future" type scenarios. Now all of that sounds fun till you start to mention the weapons, vehicles, and other issues that it would bring to the RDO. I don't want GTAO, RDO style. I would like it original and something that transfer over to the game we have now. I could appreciate, something that expands on the characters already in the game. One I just heard recently that I didn't think about was playing as Pinkertons or Ross when he joins the FBI, where you go and hunt the outlaws. Seeing how there are other gangs that you don't really see there downfall. -
RDR2 Questions that I need the answers too!!
YodaMan 3D replied to Wainwright97's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Some have claimed you can go back and get a white arabian horse by going back to hunt for it. I was fine with the horse they gave John. The money is lost. At least no way that I know of to go get it. You can't swim that deep even if you find a boat to get you there. -
What part of the story did you not like?
YodaMan 3D replied to riptide87's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Two things I hated. 1st the way the story went, imho, was way too predictable. Though I didn't know what was going to happen, I still felt I knew what was going to happen to Arthur. 2nd was the side quest. I felt they got in the way of the story. They felt more natural to me after the ending then during story of Arthur. For example, I was doing a lot of hunting, which should have been about the gangs survival, where I was doing to unlock this or that. -
What is the actual penalty for people griefing?
YodaMan 3D replied to DiamondDave's topic in Red Dead Online
Griefing, just a different level. Remember a case where a friend on The Division, couldn't figure out why every time he went to the DZ, that he kept running into a certain other player. He reported the player and it came up that the other player was a follower of his and every time he got on. This guy would stop what he was doing to go and grief. This was a xbox decision that they changed from the 360 to the One. Where you at least had the choice whether or not to let someone to add you to their list. I don't know how it's handled on PS4, but Xbox can be crazy. -
Doing missions a certain way can help with money and or xp. Slower the better is usually key. Running with a Posse this weekend drove that thought home.
-
Some have already walked from the game. Even if they add anything, those players comeback they may be seeing the carrot way to far out from the horse. I would speculate that if they dangle that carrot too far, that unlike you they aren't prepared for playing and paying. So it really matters what they do to keep players interested. Sounds like you busted your hump to be in a good place and be ready. To some they wasn't given enough to do in the beginning to stay grinding.
-
About Posse invites, I was having this issue as well. My problem was I having was I had a big list of posses that I have joined prior. I had to go into my list and abandoned each posse in the list, even though they wasn't active and no one including myself was even in them.
-
Hopefully you are on the mend and the next time all of us will have time to play.
-
In games like this usually scope is a vanity item. usually you get the bonuses regardless of you use the scope or not. It's normally that way, but I don't know in this game how they did that.
-
Well, seeing how you brought it up. It really kind of sucked. We only got two runs in before real life kicked in and we had to go deal with that. To be serous though, it was a good time and have always enjoyed rolling with you and it was cool to hang out with @Major Dammidge and @BurbonChaser. Looking forward to doing it again.

What is the actual penalty for people griefing?
YodaMan 3D replied to DiamondDave's topic in Red Dead Online
It really depends on what their end goal is and what exactly they do about it. Cause in other games like this in theory, if they want to promote griefing for the sake of making extra cash. In the end it is about our input and whether or not Rockstar listens. I have doubts because of their past track record, then again they could come up with knew answers that all of us can live with. -
