Been there myself. Over the xmas holidays i thought i'd see if i could do like i used to and have an all night game session, after i'd been playing since about 2pm that day. I made it until about 4am before i had to surrender. i knew i was done when my peripheral vision started shimmering, kinda looking like The Predator's stealth mode. Massive migraine incoming is what that means for me. Can't play like i did 30 years ago and go all day and night and into the next day.

Black powder i think would be more fun, there's nothing like shooting at a target and waiting for the cloud of smoke to clear to see where you hit. Not to mention the smell Bottle that up and sell it lol. I've always wanted a black powder and a burnt gunpowder cologne. Plus the slower shooting would weed out the GTA style players You could do button combos to reload, upgrades to reload faster with pre-measured powder pouch and such. Put native americans in to play, maybe even an option to play a warrior as they were pretty fired up still after the Trail of Tears fiasco.

October 4 now I wish they'd fix their pre-order page, i've been trying all week to get it ordered. As far as Call of Duty I haven't played since Black Ops 2. Like @DylBandit i got bored of the same crap over and over, and i suck at the pvp mode so that's no fun for me I have no desire to look at this new release.

really? i lost my 3 gold bars i had in the satchel just for John. I'll have to try this again when i get to the epilogue on this 2nd play through.

Is the Carolina Parakeet still available after Epilogue?
Kormath replied to Phil88's question in Questions & Answers
Sure can if you start the quest as John i'm reading, if you start it as Arthur it won't spawn them in for John. -
Never seen that, i'll have to see if it's on one of my streaming feeds. sounds like a show right down my alley 2nd weird gun i found in my recent escape from actual work lol Dardick 1500. Looks like the ray guns the kids in the 50s and 60 played with. Image from wikipedia I think this is the weirdest of the weird. Not only is it ugly, the construction was very poor. The gun shot 'Trounds' a specially designed ammo just for it. Triangular Rounds = Trounds. On the side is the feed gate, once opened there's a tab that is supposed to stick out to keep the trounds in the magazine inside the grip. Didn't work very well from the few videos i watched on this gun. The gun also came with interchangeable barrels. You turn a screw below the barrel to release it, then insert hte new barrel and rotate that screw back to lock it in place. The locking mechanism for the barrel was 2 groves on the bottom that 2 ridges on the screw would turn into to keep it in the gun. But the barrel had some play in it, it could be slightly twisted left or right, throwing the sights off. It's a big handgun also. It shoots .38 (not .38 special) or .22 with the optional barrel. Compare it to a Beretta 92F and it's about 3 or 4 inches taller, and about half again as wide as it's a revolver/pistol mix. 3 chamber cylinder would pick up the bullets as they're fed up from inside the grip, the top frame of the gun acts as the 3rd wall of the chamber. Opposite side of the gun shown above has an ejector, if you can call it that. The trounds would fall out of the open side of the cylinder as it rotated. Only a few hundred of these were made, the concept never caught on and the gun itself is shoddy workmanship. Also came in an 1100 model holding 11 trounds, 1500 held 15, and a prototype 2000 model holding 20 rounds. 2000 was supposed to feed from both sides of the cylinder, not just the left, but I don't think they ever figured out how to make that actually work. Other cons of the gun include: a selector switch to shoot the .38 or .22 trounds, but many of the guns didn't have the component inside the gun to make that work. There was supposed to be a groove that would allow the selector screw, when turned, to move the firing pin down to hit the rim of the rimfire bullets. For this to work the firing pin groove had to be expanded so it could move when the hammer struck. The guns i read about and watched didn't have this expanded groove, or even the component behind the screw to redirect the firing pin, but they had the screw on the outside of the gun. The hammer stuck. the gun is supposed to be double action, but commonly had to have the hammer pulled all the way back as it wouldn't always return to firing position. Rear sights were a joke, they were loose and would fall down on every shot. Jams were common with the tround shape as they were pushed up into the cylinder.

Definitely not made for left hand shooters lol.

previous post of our firearms got me back into the history of various guns, and that sidelined into research on the progression of ammunition, and that led to some of the oddest guns created. Makes me curious on what you've seen, or if you are lucky enough to own one of these oddities. I don't have a home computer anymore so my research is limited to down time at work, which lately has been kinda scarce. Here's one of hte weird ones i've found. Gyrojet. A handgun or carbine with unique ammo. A special designed bullet, similar to the rocketball from the 1850s. The bullet is a solid case, with solid rocket fuel instead of gun powder, and the ports on the bottom of the case were specially drilled to create the spiral that makes bullets accurate. The way this gun fired is as weird as it's ammo. That notch and tab above the trigger is the hammer. It slams the bullet back into the firing pin. then as the bullet leaves the gun it's supposed to reset the hammer in the down position for the next shot. That section above the grip slides back, and you push the shells one by one down into the handle. You can use the tab at the top front corner of the grip to pull the spring down to make loading easier. gun had a few problems though. with normal firearms the explosion from the powder shoots them out the barrel, and from there on they're slowing down and affected by gravity. THese gyrojet bullets have solid rocket fuel in each bullet (which also extremely increased the cost per shot) so instead of losing speed as they exit the barrel, they continue to gain speed, and on top of that the ports in the back that make the bullet spiral, were never drilled consistently and accurately, so you could never reliably tell where the shot would hit. Not to mention the fps was exremely low, like 250 fps out of the barrel, compared to a 45 acp (similar size) at about 850 fps from a 1911 pistol. The bullets above are the first edition, with 4 ports for spin, later bullets were made with 2 holes to speed up the process. To drill they were put in a special press and drilled at a specific angle. Then rotated 90 deg. and drilled again, etc. The angle hole would constantly break the drill bits, and the tedious task of drilling was.... tedious, and the drillers, like all people doing tedious tasks, would get complacent and not be as aware as they should, often causing the holes to be angled wrong, which screwed up the spiraling, and made the bullets even less accurate.

i enjoyed LA Noire, that could be a fun one.

Deceased gang members' loyalties (spoilers)
Kormath replied to Parzival's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
I thought Keiran would run during the game and we'd have a mission to chase him down and kill him, or bring him back, whichever option you chose. Hosea would definitely side with Dutch, he defended him the whole way to his end. Sean is a tough call, he seemed to be more of a loaner, so i think he'd probably have run. Lenny for sure would side with Arthur, they were close, or seemed to be. -
I'd like to play Sadie after RDR2, Charles would be a good one too. When i first heard about RDR2 i was hoping it would be a sequel about Jack after RDR, so there's that also.

nothing on the newswire. all they're posting is GTAO and RDR2 online stuff. Some good news is they were hiring a technical face developer (they must not have worked on RDR2 online faces) and a few positions for their next generation work. Rumors are Bully sequel and GTA6, but they've already stated there won't be a GTA6 in the near future.

i hate zombies now, anything to do with zombies i ignore or change the channel. so overkilled. give us a new supernatural creature to spend 40 years on like zombies have been, werewolves, vampires, fae, Holy hell the endless possibilities they could do with the Fae. However, i was like you with Walking Dead, i did like the first 2 seasons, got bored with the 3rd and quit watching.

i gave up computer games years ago, only console now. Bought a nice turtle beach surround sound headset to play my hunting game, then found out how awesome that sound was and play 90% of my games with the headset. Was surprising how much i missed hearing. Being able to hear the animals in the hunting game crackle the brush or whatever every time instead of just the loudest times made the game much more entertaining. Same with RDR2 hunting cougars and panthers, listening to them growl when you get close makes killing them so much easier. Living room i have a middle of the road sound system with surround sound speakers on each side of my recliner to hear those sounds when i play in there. Too far from the TV though with my aging eyes, so now i mostly play in my room where the TV is closer.

I've always wanted to go live off the grid. Not like the people on TV that are off the grid (a few miles off the highway), i mean really off the grid, like Morgan in the Mountain Men show, you get supplies once a month or so flown in to your location type off the grid. but then there's no internet, no streaming media, no xbox games.... yeah that wouldn't work, i'm too dependent on the grid maybe a week or so at a time go vacation off the grid. that i could do.

Kill/Action Cam doesn't trigger often except for lawman
Kormath replied to Imperator's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
never had an issue with it, quick google search found (nothing from rockstar, this is all speculation from other forums) it's triggered when you hit a critical area, and then it's only like a 25% chance when that happens. -
I believe (unless it's been changed) this horse is only available from the stables in Valentine.

It's a quest animal in chapter 6. https://www.ign.com/wikis/red-dead-redemption-2/Legendary_Alligator_(Bull_Gator)_Location,_Skin,_and_Kill_Guide

what he said. There's 1 treasure hunt you can't do as Arthur, so the maps definitely are available.
-
they don't. you can hide them in the safe in the pig farm and have john grab them from there or wait and do the treasure hunts as john. If you sell them then you lose all that money.

had to look back through the seasons, 6 is the last one i finished, the end of that season was epic I watched a couple episodes in 7 but couldn't get back into it. So for me the first 6 seasons delivered, 7 couldn't hold my attention. But now that you mention it has the best battle scene ever in 8 i'll have to go back when all seasons are on netflix or hulu and watch these last 2.

Same here, I bought it so my son and i could play together like we did with TD1. TD2 is fun, but not as fun as the first one. Way more stuff involved in 2, i think it takes away from the fun aspect. I just hit level 30 and still have 2 or 3 zones to finish, not to mention the bases and whatnot. But there's no pull for me to do that like there was in TD1. I'm really enjoying AC: Odyssey. Most of my game time the last few weeks has been spent in Ancient Greece. It has a naval aspect similar to Black Flag which i didn't like right at first but have come to really enjoy. i haven't gotten much past chapter 2 in the story, i've been having too much fun exploring and sinking ships and hunting the mercenary bounty hunters.
