The little rectangle in the red crosshairs is a cabin. You will find platinum earrings, a platinum necklace, liquor, canned goods, and express ammo for your rifle ๐ and maybe even some gun oil. You can hit this once every 24 hours. Also, Braithwaite Mansion has platinum jewelry, first bedroom on the left upstairs and there are liquors in the dining room. Premium cigarettes in the living room You can only hit these spots once in a 24-hour period

There's a choice, you can run or you can fight. PVP isn't for everyone. With their saddle and stirrups upgrades, two of my four horses can outrun just about everybody. A 30-person free-for-all isn't for me. I will gladly go me vs 2-3, or Posse versus Posse in equal numbers. I like choices and enjoy spontaneous tactical and strategic decisions.

Short answer: yes. Example: I'm hunting 20 yards from a wilderness road. There's a symbol for a rider on a mission which I can steal and he is forced to ride right by me. I turned around, blasted him as went by, delivered the mail and got the bonus. He was relentless, with a fatal allergy to my shotgun every time. I jumped to ambarino to hunt wolves. He must have friended me because he jumped servers, tracked me, and I had to send him to his Maker two more times before he disappeared. Recently got the explosive shotgun pamphlet which works particularly well with players who use the slippery bastard ability card. I've leveled the playing field and can take them and their horse out with a single shot ๐

Do you regret the horse you bought?
Major Dammidge replied to Major Dammidge's question in Questions & Answers
I would have had to name that mustang "Zebra," very highly rated and lives up to it. Jesse James is the name of my Missouri stallion, [who began his crime career in Missouri but a history boo-boo because he rode a mustang] I have a brown Turk stallion online. Occasionally unsure on his feet and occasionally balks to respond to a whistle if we are separated by hills with rocks. He is not gun shy but does react if I shoot from the saddle: he shakes his head and whinneys. Gold Turk in story mode was my best... but mysteriously disappeared in the second epilogue never to be recovered or found. (? glitch?) -
For fun, what's your horse's name/names?

Gerden trail saddle--upgraded-- is the best in the game according to the 'experts' and the hooded stirrups. My guy has stamina from hell and, while not as fast as my Missouri Fox Trotter can escape or catch about anybody in the game ๐ -

Check at the stable but I'm going to try to remember. The first thing that I remember is that my fellow party member nearly had a stroke because I paid gold and he has been hoarding his. I think the trotter was like level 61 or something.. the all-black American Standardbred is a mighty good deal if you have an upgraded saddle and upgraded stirrups. I have one and the only thing you have to watches that you keep his stamina replenished. His name is Zorro and he is lightning fast. The best saddle in the game is the gurdon trail saddle and worth waiting to be able to afford the upgrade. Pair that with hooded stirrups and you can successfully escape or chase when you need to.... I used to whine about the trotter because he was very very unpredictable and difficult. Then he settle down after and I realized he had been glitched -

Dark brown Turk--great horse. I had a gold in story mode; this one wasn't in the game. When I went to the stable last night to get my 5th horse--and finally came to a decision--I folded like a cheap tent because the stall was $750 ๐ and Lord only knows how much insurance would be on a 5th horse. That cash will probably go for a pamphlet when I reach level 91 -

"Tara's Scarlett," red chestnut Arabian, aka 'Red' ... because she can be 'Gone with the Wind' "Jesse James" dappled grey Missouri Fox Trotter aka 'J.J.'.. Missouri's most famous outlaw, Jesse James, began his outlaw career with an 1866 bank robbery "Cleburne" dark bay Turkoman, aka 'Bernie' ... An Ireland-born CSA general in the War Between the States; fought at Shiloh, Perryville, et al. Killed at the Battle of Franklin. Horse 'Dixie' killed at Perryville "Zorro" black American Standardbred ...after the black-clad vigilante who rode a horse named Tornado Last Empty Stall: Mare. Nokota or Thoroughbred, named 'Rhiannon,' mythical Welsh goddess of fertility and the moon. CANCELLED I will buy a pamphlet before I pay $750 for a stall and Lord knows how much for insurance... [Story Mode Replay (3/1 start) "Thunder" dappled grey Ardennes... because he is massive and imposing, with all black legs and head; and he flat-out rumbles.] -
You'd think... but In December, the piano players in all the saloons were playing Christmas music. I thought that was a very cool touch!

Great idea! The Texas Rangers were founded in 1835. How about super-squads of Texas Rangers hired by the Federal government!??

@The_Liquor this made me laugh (makes sense to me outside of a posse) -
So they added a KILL tax and Debt Collectors
Major Dammidge replied to HuDawg's topic in Red Dead Online
If I don't have carcasses or hides I really don't give a rip. That's if I get shot once and they didn't kill my horse. I do give a rip when a posse, especially one led by somebody with a level over 20 let's say, comes after me again and again and again so that I can't even respawn without them standing over me to deliver a head shot. My sop is to destroy their horse. It will change if you report each and every player under the report heading of disturbing behavior which actually mentions griefing constituting that behavior. -

It's a beta product a company put before public, subject to intense scrutiny, an extension of a product that has generated more than 1 billion dollars in sales.* [*He offered for your scrutiny and comment] -

How do I get perfect pelt when hunting.
Major Dammidge replied to SnailZ321's question in Questions & Answers
@SnailZ321 Lesson II: Birds - with your varmint rifle go to the gator islands just north of Saint Denis. When you see two birds standing next to each other, fire a shot at the ground right between them. There is more credit for killing birds who are in the air. As soon as they have cleared the ground from your warning shot, nail them bothc๐๐ -
First and foremost this forum, because I was able to find a posse rider @BurbonChaser who has taught me a crap ton about this game. Second, believe it or not, an Australian streamer named parth1c. The Mississippi servers kept players out of the game for 7 and 1/2 days. The streamer allowed me to jump join his sessions, and shortly after invited me to his posse. His friends from around the world friended me and I got invited to working servers or was able to join session and got to play without missing a beat. I even met a guy from our neighboring state of Louisiana!! I am no longer getting on just to grind. Parth1c's friends who often comprise more than one Posse with all of us in the same chat party, do mission after mission after mission and I'm leveling up without even thinking about it because I'm really really having fun.

Which weapon should I buy in online mode next?
Major Dammidge replied to evilcd's question in Questions & Answers
@evilcd I dunno--but I vaguely recall trying something like that and all it got me was dead -
The upgraded gerden trail saddle was the best rated in story mode unless you went with the exotics. My advice to newer players is to get a medium rated horse and improve it with saddle and stirrup upgrades rather than spending gold or $950 on an upgraded horse. IMHO those two upgrades will allow a medium rated pony (better than Speed 3, 2 Acceleration) to perform with the best of them. After all, all you need to do is escape, right? ๐

Where to find daily challenges?
Major Dammidge replied to Fish47375's question in Questions & Answers
I logged on, got on my horse, rode 50 yards, and got killed three times by a three-man posse of Griefers. I couldn't "kill them each and every one" because they were on top of me as soon as I respawned, but I did report them and rode off into the sunset after the parlay command. The Posse consisted of levels 107, 88, and 60. -
I am on Xbox. While playing RDR online I saw a player and reported him simply for his gamertag. "HangsBlackPeople." I am a US Army veteran and served alongside--and befriended--soldiers who were not caucasian. So this really infuriated me. I hope he or she gets banned.

How to keep random people from joining online story missions?
Major Dammidge replied to Owl Whiskey's question in Questions & Answers
My Posse and I have been doing this for months. First you need to be in a posse and it will work for a temporary Posse. Next you call up the kill them one and all mission. Posse leader hits the replay Posse command. Posse leader gets the start mission button and and the Posse members and leader have to be ready to hit the y button IMMEDIATELY for ready TWO OF US ROCK THIS MISSION FOR XP POINTS OVER AND OVER
