  1. Ok, so check it out, this is a list of story missions in my game. in this order. .01) Love and honor .02) The Right side of the tracks .03) Where your morals lead you .04) Highly illegal and highly moral .05) More than one way to earn a buck (wont let me replay it, says "complete this story mission in flow" .06) Kill them, each and every one And that is all I have. NOW, I just read an article that showed another list, compare this list to mine or yours. Highly Illegal and Highly Immoral Honor Among Horse Thieves If the Hat Fits… Kerosene, Tar, and Greed Kill Them, Each and Every One Love and Honor More Than One Way to Earn a Buck The Right Side of the Tracks Where Your Morals Lead You As you can see there are 9 listed, I only have 7 and 6 I can replay, AND Ion this list I dont see my #4 Highly illegal and highly moral so thats 10 different missions I can see all together, 6 of which appeared for me in my game, 1 I was invited to join a friend, and 3 others I have never heard of until today when one other poster told me about the Kerosene and Tar one if you have low honor. So what is up with these? Do you have others not listed here? Are you missing any of these? How can I make the 7th one appear again or #8, #9, or #10? Thanks for any tips.. UPDATE: I went searching and on IGN's site and their site was the only one I could find this on, they had a paragraph between the walkthrough's that cleared it all up./ It says: "This mission is only available to players on the lower end of the Honor spectrum. If your Honor is too high to obtain the mission, head to a populated area and open fire on civilians, steal horses, kill animals, or perform other dishonorable acts until the mission appears on the map. You can also visit Mr. Jones and spend Gold Bars to change your current Honor standing." Ok, so you have to lower your honor if you are like me and play with high honor, and then the missions will appear, this is why I say games need to come with manuals like they used too, so you dont have to have internet access to figure this stuff out. Now it makes sense to me why you have these stations around the map to raise or lower your honor, I thought it was just for new players who made a mistake and got to be a red blip and then decided to go back to blue and play passively, But I see now, it actually has an important role to play so no matter your honor rating you can play the story, it will cost you 6 gold bars to change and then change back and I dont even have them, so for me Ill wait until I get more bored and decide to take the advice of others and go to Van Horn and rack up bounty and lower my honor., and then grind back to get my blue honor blip back, lol. Thanks for all the help, I hope this helps others who might not even know about these missions, I had no idea and I wondered why my game said I was 75% complete yet there were no more missions to play.
  2. Thanks, I did not know that, I play at high honor so it never came up. Please keep reading below the next post also. Ok, good idea, so the only way to get it is low honor? Maybe you can help me with this question too then please, In my story missions I am 87% comlete, I look in there and I have 7 story missions, BUT one of them, "More than one way to earn a buck" wont let me replay it, and I only played it once. It says"complete this story mission in flow" All the others say "select replay to start matchmaking or this story mission" but not that one mission and that is the one I never found on my own, a friend invited me to it, I hadnt found a way to make it appear at all, I didnt even know about it. How can I get to the point where I can replay or play that mission? Thanks for your tips and information, I would be thankful if you can help me figure this out. PLEASE KEEP READING BELOW
  3. So when I first started playing online I did the story missions, there were a total of 6 of them. Then a friend of mine told me about a 7th, so I joined an invite he sent me since I had no menu for it and couldnt see it anywhere that I could have started another story mission, But my completion says 75% complete so I am missing something, We played a mission I never saw before, and I dont understand why that is, why wasnt it available to me in my own menus? I know to ask Rockstar about this but I wanted to ask players too if they had a similar experience, Even now in my menu screen it says 75% complete story missions, I have done 7 but it only shows 6 completed, so I am going to go back and do it again, the new one I had never seen until the other day was where you go to Fort Wallace I think it is, and have to blow up some explosives and stuff. Actually I dont even know if I can re do it as I dont think it is in my menu listed anywhere Previously I had played the one with armor and you go after the guy in Fort Mercer, after that I never got another mission que for another one, so I thought I was done, where did you guys get the mission Que the yellow tab on screen that shows you the mission giver location or whatever you use to join these?
  4. I dunno, maybe you play more than I do, I join showdown series small or large and it seems to only go back and forth between territory, choose your weapon, and last man standing, no plunder, no spoils of war, no other modes at all actually, just keeps cycling through them. In other games like COD WW2, you have options, and can vote to play various modes or maps, plus the menus allow you to select deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, hold territory etc... I really wish Rockstar would pull a page from their playbook and give us freedom in the multipayer menus.as it is now, I join play one in tall trees followed by another in tall trees except one is chose your weapon and one is not, then it is usually oil fields or Rhodes or Annesberg for a territory game, I forget the actual name of it, but thats it, what happened to every other mode? I hate this showdown series nonsense, just give us a menu for each and every mode so we can clearly join what we want and not play three modes over and over again, I cant stomach it so after 3 or 4 rounds I am out, then stuck in free roam thinking, ok, now what? Other games have a mode where you get a variety also, but then they have another menu where you dont have to play a rotating shuffle of modes, you can play what you like. Im all set with re-playing story missions and stranger missions, at this point I just want to play these multiplayer modes, but it is a challenge to find a game that is fun. Kean, I did submit a ticket lol and feedback so save the link, I know..... UODATE: It occurred to me after I wrote this that we are still in BETA and maybe these are changes that will come, maybe right now they do it like this to make sure people try the various modes, rather than have everyone play one or two room and ignore everything else? I dunno but I myself need to remember that after the BETA tag is lifted things could change, I hope.
  5. The blacked out thing happened to me yesterday, first time I noticed it. When you posted this, I hadnt noticed it. I forget what I was doing just before this happened, but I just ignored it and didnt notice any issues as a result.
  6. Since it counts them as you reset them I assumed there would be a limit, so 10 huh? makes sense I guess, it cant go on forever. What level are you at that you hit 10 resets on this achievement? Just curious.
  7. So, I get in, I select "(ready up)" and then I scan the teams to see who I am playing with/against. As the clock counts down, all of a sudden everyone seems to get scrambled and I am put on another team, I didnt select. Is this the game balancing the teams or is this players trying to manipulate the game to get on the teams they want together? I was in a few games the other day and using my mic with two other players, we had a good thing going, because we communicated, so next waiting room I heard them say, "Lump, join the dandies" or whatever team it was, but it was too late and I wasnt able too, so it made me think, is that what is going on almost every single time this happens, and it is super annoying. What is annoying is you get stacked teams, you see a team with 8 players while 3 other teams have 2 to 4 players, and the stacked team has all players at very high levels, like 4 or 6 at over 125, while the other teams have 2 to 4 players under level 80, so I wanted to find out what is really going on with this. I have only played showdown series maybe 10 times, and each time I stay in for 2 to 4 rounds, not usually any more than 4, either it switches to a map/game I dont love and the players seem to bail so it is all of a sudden teams of 2 and 3, I dont like that, it is way too hard to find good targets when there are so few players, and I HATE campers, HATE is a strong word, but I wish there was a stronger word for how I feel about campers. multiplayer rant, for any game In every online game I have ever played, First and third person shooters anyway , campers are the scum that settles on the bottom in the swamp, that really nasty stuff, Man I dislike campers!! since Quake 2 to yesterday afternoon, I never liked this strategy, hide, wait from cover, take out passers by, argggg!!! lol but as long as the game allows it, I take the bad with the worse and try to just learn the ropes so when I become more proficient I can hunt and kill the campers, this becomes my whole mission in life in the game. I have done in it counter strike, quake 2 COD ww2 and the other one lol forget the name, Star Wars battlefront II, etc.. but in all those I set out to learn and play but end up hunting campers in their dark corners, I enjoy running them out of their hiding spots so they cant use them anymore, in a game like this, if we all camped, the game would fail, nobody would play it, there would be no action at all, the clock would run out without anyone getting a kill.
  8. Missions with bags? I don't know what you mean, like mail bag deliveries? I was hoping you were going to ask about SB because I have questions about it too, like when you have SB tier 3 and you go in a game with it on, if I engage dead eye, it doesnt seem to work for me, like if I want to engage it and run for example, it immediately shuts it off, I dont get that affect like I di when I am fishing for example and use dead eye, I dont see that brownish orange glow either, I wonder if I am doing something wrong, because of this I havent been able to use it, I use PIB instead.
  9. To get kicked everyone has to kick you, not just some or even most, and I haven't seen anyone get kicked because they are good, usually because they put crap on the mic, either music, or loud children in the background, etc.. and wont stop it, yes you can mute them and that is what I do, but they do tend to get kicked. So I totally sympathize with you if your getting kicked for winning, that sucks. Players who win every round or have very high kill to deaths I haven't seen any get kicked, The people I would like to kick are the campers, especially in showdown large, but that's another matter, As I learn the maps more and how this all works, I will take care of the campers. I am practicing, I want to get better so I like playing with better players, I don't consider someone who hides and snipes at everyone from cover a skilled player, just a camper and in a game where you have to search for a target, it really sucks to run run run and just as you get near, get killed by a camping player, man that gets my goat, lol but mehh, its part of the game, IF a player did that 3 times in a row and ended up with 14-3 or 27-4, or 33- 2 then yeah, If someone starts a kick vote I'm in, but usually it is the annoying player getting kicked, , not the skilled, skilled players are fun to play with, they make you better.
  10. disagreeing is key for debate and growth, so its all good to not agree with eachother, I was only saying, if you profile and just shoot first because you had one or two bad experiences then you are paranoid and afraid. I have never shot anyone first, and no I dont rush at people on purpose or approach anyone, 99% of the time others end up around me, I either didnt pay attention to the mini map and all of sudden they are just there, then I use the mic first, as I scope out the situation, but my first attempt is always to get away if need be, I am armed, and ready, and I dont trust them, but often they will use a mic back and it has been great so far. Honestly most of the time I get shot it ends up being a case of mistaken identity, I have heard it from several people, they kill me then send me a message saying, thats what you get, or got you back or something and I reply, ?? I never saw you before dude, and they say, yeah ok, you were the one that just shot me, so I got you back, or something like that, this has happened to me several times, people not paying attention to the names and then shooting me because they think I was part of an attack or something also paranoia. These people who do shoot at strangers for no reason, like when I am out hunting, I see a blip going by in the distance, then they re route, head toward me, and then shoot, for no reason, these people often are paranoid because they know they have been out bothering everyone, shooting at anyone they come across so they are always in the offensive. The game is no fun to me if I have to be on the offensive every minute, I need to let my guard down and grind at times, I need to explore and find treasure maps and stuff, it is exhausting alwasy worrying about players with no clue who have nothing better to do than irritate others, it really offends me that a person thinks nothing of seeing me minding my own business and decides I am now their target, I exist for their pleasure, I really dislike this attitude. I am not alone either, thee are a lot of people so many in fact that Rockstar changed the game and continues too. If this behavior continues and we lose more nad more people in time it will only be griefers bored shooting eachother all the time, its like any other shooter at that point and boring. Rockstar wants to make money and they cant make money from people leaving the game Whether we agree or disagree on how to play you hopefully dont disagree with letting people do what they want as long as they arent bothering you, I would never go out of my way to just bother you for the sake of boredom, if you are in a mission I might come after you, but otherwise, I see players out there I like meeting people, this game allows us a unique way to meet up with other gamers. These players, I dont bother with, I ignore them and go back to what I was doing, I dont want to be forced to play with someone their way, especially if I am out getting a treasure map, or hunting or doing a daily challenge, grinding for cash and xp, etc.. that is the whole point, no matter what you think the game is or should be or how it should be played, the one thing you can not justify is some people obviously arent bothering anyone, they dont want to be bothered, so leave them alone. Why do you have to involve other unwilling people in your style of play? just play the game but leave me out of it, I am playing my own game, and you arent part of it, I am doing what I want to do, but what I am doing will never affect your game or you or what you are doing, so do me a favor and return the favor, dont involve me in it. In other words, if you see me out hunting, just keep going, if you have something to say, Im all ears, if you have a question or want to use my camp fire to craft, have at it, just leave me out of your game if your game is shooting any unsuspecting players in an ambush style shot in the back like a coward, then act like you like to fight, lol thats not fighting, its cowardice, hiding in the shadows then shooting someone in the back for nothing and blaming it on daily challenges, ignorance or confusion, lol just , just stop it. If you had no fear of being shot then you wouldnt care at all, you would just laugh it off re spawn and get back to it, the way I usually do, the only thing you lose is whats on your horse and not pelts either so it is really only 3 items max that you can lose, if that happens, then I make a note on the player name, or block, etc..and move on. So I am not willing to go on the offensive over a few players, when there are so many good people that are fun to meet in game out there to worry about the few aggressive people I come across.
  11. You said, "Your painting a picture of Arch as someone who is seeking out players to indiscriminately kill when that's not the case at all." But he said, "anytime I see a player with Never Without One or Slow & Steady coming my way I just shoot them." So.. I disagree with your assessment, he clearly is paranoid of players with certain loadouts and of his own admission said he shoots them on sight for no reason if they have those cards loaded, that is paranoid and afraid and aggressive.
  12. See, you are definitely part of the problem, you shouldnt just blanket say, everyone with an aggressive loadout is my enemy and I will shoot them even if they arent doing anything at all to me, thats just lame. The reason most of us run Ability cards like the ones you mentioned are, for one to upgrade them to tier 3, the only way to level up, is to equip the card and then earn xp while you have it equipped, so everyone is running their cards in free roam so they can level up, others wear them in case they are attacked, and I run them for both of those reasons plus so when I join pvp I am ready and equipped. Just because I have an aggressive loadout doesnt mean you get to shoot me, thats a lame excuse to shoot people. If you took a more civilized approach, the rdr2 world would be a better place. But ok, that is how you play, fine, this is why we ALL have to wait while Rockstar implements a hostility system to protect the community from people like you that act like you do in game. Ive never shot first, ever, and I can tell you, 80% of the time, its just fine, the other 20% were going to shoot no matter what I did. When I am shot at ok worst case is I lose carcasses and stowed animals, thats it, otherwise I re spawn, go back to what I was doing, so there is no reason to shoot first, thats just an excuse maybe because you are bored and want confrontation or maybe you just dont like anyone and you dont have friends and this is your way, more power to you if that is how you want to play, but you shouldnt be making others play the game YOU want to play, leave them alone to play the game they want to play, if they attack you, then have at it, you can go get your revenge, but being an aggressive player makes you part of the problem, at least in free roam. I ve never understood why players chose to hang in free roam and shoot players, just join any one of the many pvp modes, go shoot til your hearts content, many of us use Free roam to craft, level up, buy stuff, explore, etc.. not for killing, the killing happens in pvp, free roam is where I go to get ready for it, clean my guns, load up on ammo, buy something I want to use, etc.. and while I am doing all of that, in this incredible game, I dont need to be shot by a paranoid dude who doesnt like the look of my cards, gtfo. Rockstar gave us this awesome system, free roam is like a huge lobby for pvp, where players can meet up, earn xp, cash, and gold, practice on npc's and find treasures, etc.. and people are ruining this incredible feature by going around needlessly shooting at people just trying to use the game the way it was intended. I love hearing the reasons, your reason is that you are paranoid, and afraid, ok, thats fair enough. I would like to offer you one suggestion, a mic, a free ear bud, or 5$ cheapo, put on a mic, so you can talk to free roamers, it is easy enough to issue a warning, and it works. I have diffused many situations with a mic just by explaining, hey, Im not a griefer, Im hunting, no worries man you dont have to worry about being shot in the back from me, etc... this has stopped a lot of needless attacks and even made a few friends.
  13. It's not that at all, ok, I always plan a route to take me away from noobs and people who just shoot at everyone they come across, its more getting to the butcher and then being killed before you can engage the butcher, because these people tend to congregate around towns again because everything is about them and that is where the most people are at times, since they have to come to town for various things, it just sucks to be in a grind and not want to deal with it right now and be brought into someone else fight. That is the other thing, its not 100% of the time, it is after I have had enough, I have been grinding for hours literally, 6 or 7 hours I just want to get to the butcher one more time, so I can go to my camp and then purchase a fast travel post let's say, so at that point, I just want to be left alone, im tired, ive already dealt with a dozen morons and griefers, people following me, shooting at me, etc.. Lastly, whether you agree or disagree, they are implementing a system to prevent this behavior because so many people feel the same way, they dont want to be forced to play your way, they want to play the game anyway they want, and as long as they arent upsetting other people they should be able to able to. Many griefers and trolls say "Hey I am just playing the game the way I want too", but they arent allowing others to play the way they want too, then when they are told this they criticize others, as if their way is the only way, and this selfish attitude and terrible sense of not respecting other people is what ruins everything with online games. I really enjoy when I run into a player and they arent douches, I have met many cool people while free roaming, we talked, shared some stuff, sometimes teamed up, etc.. it is interesting to hear from other players who are out there, I think it is more fun to get to know your neighbor than just shoot them, and it is easy enough to find action, as others have said, you can get involved in ANY stranger mission, so there are tons of those, and there are alot of people that also want to shoot so it is easy enough to find them and start shooting and leave the butcher area alone. Peopel get bored, it is too much work to grind, I look at these peoples profiles, they usually have all their cards maxed out, they dont grind, they just come in, shoot it up, look for something THEY consider fun and then leave, many of us on the other hand work very hard to grind these levels so we can get to a point that makes us the most effective in pvp and missions, and it is during these long, hard grinds that I personally dont want to be bothered.
  14. Yep, I hadnt noticed that, for now I bought one that gives me 12/14/16 opposite drain rates for now, and once I hit level 94 I think it is, I will then grab another. Thanks for the information. What I noticed is there was another saddle I really liked the looks of, BUT it didnt quite share the attributes, it was a little lower, like 12/14/16 as opposed to 14/16/18 % so I bought the better stats, but I dont like the looks of it, I know it is about performance so I didnt let the looks bother me.
  15. I won mvp and first on my team today so..... trucking along, lol. I did have the gun act empty experience again, and with a lancaster, and a shotgun, I dunno why, but when I noticed it I just opened the weapon wheel at first it showed 0 ammo, but then showed my actual ammo count, like ti changed quickly, so I dunno just gad I caught it.
  16. It does happen, but not everytime. When you leave the game if you go to story mode, exit game and then leave that way so it shuts down properly it should be pretty consistent, however sometimes the camp is where I left it and other times it is moved and still other times I get the message you said, that Cripps packed it up, so I dunno for sure.
  17. Correct, BUT the rock carvings are only in the main part of the map, so regardless, you dont need to go to New Austin to complete them. What I am wondering from the way they said it in the video and described it, he said "time machine guy" and then he said "Time machine" so whether it is in the game or the remains of one or something you can discover to have been used as the point if his entry etc.. could be all it ends up being, I dont know. I kind of hope that it is in a DLC, as it seems like someone woudl have figured it out based on the rock carvings and drawings already otherwise, I dont know what to think, other than he definitely made reference to a time machine, and I want to know more.
  18. Actually I played the game 3 x all the through, in my second play through I went to New Austin after the Angelo Bronte mission, so it was sort of a glitch, I mean all I did was go, I didnt do anything other than the previous missions as it turns out if you are seen by police in the cemetery you would for some reason be able to travel in N Austin so yeah in my second play through it was a glitch, since patched and no longer available, but didnt seem like one at the time, BUT I digress as it has nothing at all to do with the Time Machine and this post. The fact that you can do ALL the Rock carvings as Arthur requires no glitch, BUT the dialogue that only Marston had with a side mission involving a Time Machine is what this post is about. Did you look at the video? just scroll to the 32:30 time frame and listen.
  19. Nope, I completed both as John and both as Arthur, so you def can do them both as either character. Also, I just re watched the video, he said. "You did the time machine guy" he also said, hmm strange side missions, "hmm you did the time machine guy, and then when I saw what YOU DID WITH THE TIME MACHINE in the booth I had to chuckle, some of those lines were great."now they both can meet Francis Sinclair, so if there was dialogue that only Marston had with Francis Sinclair then I think that might be something we havent found yet. check it out. here is a link to the interview so you can take a look for yourself, go to 32:30 in the video foe the exact quote. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msYhQf5P-cg I was able in my third play through to complete these very early on as Arthur, I also did all the legendary fish, animals, satchel upgrades, etc.. I was on a mission to see what I could do with Arthur, and as I said, the lines he claims Marston only delivered I think is a clue to the fact that John in or after the epilogue might find the time machine., just a hunch, but it is the best indicator I have seen yet. It didnt come across like he was joking around, I think/hope he just slipped.
  20. There sure are, look in posse recruitment on the boards and depending on your platform there are others. I found a cool group we do battle other groups but we have virtual parties where we get together at one of the bars and have a celebration, or we go hunting together and help out the new players in our group etc..you just have to look around and find people like you on the platform you are on, I am on xbox and I found a group that now has 60 members, we go out in multiple posse's and it is huge fun sometimes.
  21. I know how you feel, each of us has been through some very similar stuff. One thing I can tell you, if they shoot your horse, it sucks because you will lose your carcasses and stowed animals but thats it, you can call in another horse from the stable if you own one, or sometimes you can save your horse with revive. If you have a second horse you will be able to call it and keep fighting. Shooting your horse out from under you is a means of stopping you from escaping and from getting to your weapons, so no people dont care about the $4, although I think it should cost a lot more.
  22. You are 100% correct, I hadnt looked very close, I bought the one "special" saddle you can buy early on in the game for $375.00 and never looked back, I hadnt thought to look back and I figured when I am further ahead and have some cash ill re-visit the saddles, well I forgot, so I went and looked and sure enough I was wrong, so thanks for that. I bought a new saddle that offered the best in drain rates and such until I unlock the level 93 or 94 saddle, I am level 75 so I bought the best one I can get until I unlock the ones at level 94 or whatever. Yes, you guys were correct, I hadnt looked carefully enough, but now that I have I bought a better saddle and stirrups, the best stirrups they had, and the best saddle that was available to me, in another 20 levels Ill buy the best saddle. I had been saving my money to max out my ability cards which all are maxed except for one that I rotate in and out, SB, it is tier 2 and headed to tier 3, all others are tier 3 and I have several, so the saddle thing was a cool break. I had added a card and wanted to max it out but because it wasnt a card I Was going to run all the time it was hard to upgrade it, I had to specifically work on it and thats what I was doing last night, until around 5 am this morning. As per the norm, the one saddle I really liked the look of wasnt the best in stats, the one that was best in stats wasnt my favorite in looks but the game is about advantages and preparation so I had to go with what the made the most sense for my character and his health.
  23. So, I know about Francis Sinclair and the rock carvings and that it looks as though a 1930's time traveler has found a way to go back in time. But I think I just picked up a clue about this and I wanted to see what everyone thought so check it out. I watched a video called Red Dead Redemption Panel, full Q&A FanX Spring 2019 on Youtube. In it a fan asked the two actors Rob Wiethoff who played John Marston and Roger Clark who played Arthur Morgan, if there was a line of dialogue that they remembered either as their favorite or as really strange. Roger Clark looked to Rob Wiethoff and said, well you had the time machine, that was cool, I had the Dinosaur lady thing..... and I thought, hmm wait, time machine? and only John Marston, not Arthur, so perhaps Epilogue or beyond? here is a link to the interview so you can take a look for yourself, go to 32:30 in the video foe the exact quote. Watch the video, see what you think, I don't know, I feel like its possible, I mean the mystery is there, it would be pretty awesome to find a time machine, or maybe a DLC coming up? and he wasn't supposed to say that? That's all I know, so I thought I would share it.
  24. Sure, as Kean said, in your weapon wheel you can find it as in the single player game on xbox you use the D pad, left and in there is a menu you go down to camp and select small or large, and so on. The thing is online doesnt let you make camp where you want, only within the region you want, I have managed to manipulate it a little to get it where I want it unless someone already has it, but there are pre determined camp locations in game, and thats it. Moving costs money so you try to minimize it if possible however I have spent the money at times because I wanted my camp close to where I was hunting/fishing and I like to use it to refill cores rather than eating so my character doesnt get too over weight and take on a core drain, online these are pretty severe compared to single player. Having camp close eliminated the need to deal with griefers while I was grinding. I hope that helps a little, I upgraded my camp to have the second to largest tent so my cores are 75% full when I join free roam automatically and when they get low it takes very little time to re charge them.
  25. Yeah, unlock the fence early on you will have lots of wagon opportunities. Best advice I can give you is to get a rifle, add a scope or use a bow, get the buck antler trinket first thing, then upgrade your camp and get the satchel upgraded all the way as early as you can, you can do it in chapter 2, then the rest of the game is a LOT easier for you when you can carry 99 of each item, seriously makes a world of difference, just my 2 cents, have fun.
