As soon as you get a real horse, discard that nag and your troubles will be over, you dont need it, wont use it again, no sense in keeping it. I had to go discard all my old saddles and stuff because I am sick of starting a mission and then having a different horse show up with a different saddle, now the game has no choice, whichever of my horses i decides to send me, they always have the Beaver roping saddle. As soon as I get 18 gold, Ill get the Cougar one, the only difference is the stamina vs health drain rate, they reverse is all, otherwise they have the exact same stats so.. I had cash, I bought the one I could afford for now, and it is amazing.

After talking to R* several times, I feel like anytime you see something odd, do a hard shutdown, (Xbox one) press and hold the main power button and let it kill the system, then unplug the power for 10 to 30 seconds, and then plug it in and re=start it, this fixes many weird things.

I agree with you BUT since the update, since the addition of passive mode, I have not had a single incident, I had two close calls, and one guy who stole my stowed bird so I shot him, but no actual griefing like before the update. I actually park ,my horse in Valentine and walk down the street and do my business and not worry about a thing.

I looked just now, I am on day 18 consecutive daily challenges, so 3 more days for the 3 week multiplier.

I spoke to R* about this the other day, they say they are working on it. I am talking about storing 4 and 5 outfits to your horse if you bought the upgraded saddle bags. So I know we are supposed to be able to store 5 outfits, but as you know it doesnt work, I can get 4 saved, well 3 saved and 1 custom one that as long as I dont change sessions or anything will remain, but I need to be able to save those 4 or even 5, and they claim they are working on this.

Thats great. Once I was talking to a guy, and he mentioned his towns name, and it sounded familar turns out he was about 15 minutes from my house, I thought that was pretty neat, I have had so many interesting, weird things happen in game I could write a book.

I wasnt clear if it was all gold or specific gold, sorry about the dates, I didnt have my game on when I wrote this so I cant see the actual number of days, whatever it is I have done them from the first day til now, It is over two weeks, working on week 3 I think.

I dont like the special spinner as it catches all fish, I only want the bass, trout, salmon etc.. $2 and above fish, or of course larger, but I dont want to be bothered with blue gil, bullhead, perch, etc..

Remember in the single player game when you upgraded that satchel to the max one? so you could hold 99 of items in stead of 3? Well, how great would it be if we had two options, I would gladly pay 15 gold bars for double the space and 25 gold bars for triple!! Rockstar wants to sell gold, I think this could be a great way to do it, if you chose to grind for it or buy it, you can instantly sustain twice or three times as long in pvp or free roam where you need tonics, food, etc.. just a thought, but I seriously would enjoy the grind towards that gold if I knew in the end I coudl hole 30 of each thing instead of 10. I know this is an idea for Rockstar but I was curious to see if any other players felt the same way. Same with a bandoleer, you can buy a tier I, tier II, or Tier III of either a satchel or bandoleer. if you choose too? I think it is a good idea.

So, I have done the daily challenges every day since they started this bonus program where you do at least one daily challenge every day for a week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and a month, and after each 7 day period the amount of gold that you receive for various things in the world, ie: treasure chests, stranger missions, stranger encounters, I thought pvp modes, etc.. would be x the multiplier depending on how many days into it you are, I am on day 22 I think, maybe 23 I forget, so it is substantial,. My last two treasures were pretty stacked, 1.66 gold bars and I think 1.8 BUT the pvp modes, I played featured series, showdown, and showdown large were pathetic, I was in 2nd place each time by very little, I was right there in the mix, so I know it isnt great for 2nd, but it was like .08, or .018 I think even, not sure but after several round I hadnt collected a single whole gold bar. My time is better spent leveling up with a mix of hunting, stranger missions, hideouts, and encounters, plus resetting awards and selling herbs, etc.. I mean way way more gold from doing those than playing any of the pvp modes I tried. Later on I will go in and try a few more, but so far I am very un-impressed and thinking as long as they are giving away a bar of gold for each level, screw it that is my focus until it ends, What have you noticed pertaining to gold payouts?

First there are a lot more fish, everywhere, Now it seems that you need specific lures to catch them. Up until this update I was using only the swamp lure as it was all I had, I actually had 3 or 4 lures early on but in the beginning I lost a few of them, then I found that using the one swamp lure in lakes, rivers, creeks or swamps gave me the same results. Over the past few days there were two different fish items in the daily challenges "cook seasoned succulent fish meat" and "catch 5 different fish" I think? Well I went to get the sockeye salmon as they give you succulent fish meat and I could not get a bite, for a long time, and there were plenty of fish, I would cast right in front of them, I did the flick, etc.. ( I have caught nearly 5000 fish, so I know exactly how to catch fish effectively.) Then I realized they might have updated the fishing and so I went and bought the other lures and sure enough, first cast with the special spinner caught a perch, so that worked as it is supposed to, it will catch any and all fish in a given body of water large and small, and then I put on the special river lure, which was for legendary fish in story mode, I think I could have just used the river lure but this is what I had on hand,, and sure enough first cast again, caught a salmon, and each subsequent cast as well, actually catching them has never been easier, it was really quick, no messing around, just one after the other. So that was my observation.

UPDATE: So, Rockstar assured me although I am the first person to report this having happened, that my account was safe and all my stuff would be in tact, after a few hours of re-installing the game, and the updates, hmm I didnt actually check the build # but I assume the updates, all told it was 96 gigs, it is now reloaded and I am back up and running as if it never happened. I dont know why my game was uninstalled or if it might happen again, but I tested all my other games while waiting for RDR2 to install and everything on my end works great, so I dont know what happened, but it seems to be ok now,.

Thanks I talked to Rockstar just now, they said they can see my account, my progress is still there verified, so.... whatever, and it is not my hard drive as Microsoft pointed out, all of my other games are in tact, and I was able to test them and play some COD WW2 and it was exactly as I left it back in Dec 2018 when I installed RDR2 and never went back, lol. Rockstar also said, I was the first to report this issue, so lets hope it isnt an issue that will spread and we will see others with this now, I dont know about hacking access and xbox so this is far fetched, but still a remote possibility, I wouldnt put it past someone to have uninstalled my game as it is the only reasonable thing I can think of. But that is the paranoid in me, I really doubt that is what happened here.

It has been my experience that when I selected "land of opportunities" option and yet it dumps me in free roam it is because there arent any available "land of opportunity" missions available top me, I had to lower my honor and then when I selected the land of opportunity I was able to go into matchmaking and play the remaining missions. If that isnt it, I would submit to Rockstar and explain it to them.

I disagree, I woke up turned on my game and it was gone, it wasnt revenge for discipline, or a retaliatory act, it is just gone, I didnt do anything, or get my stuff taken away, lol, so I get what your son did and yeah that stinks, but at least you know what happened, I have no clue what happened. I played it late last night and shut it down as I alwasy do, I turned it on 8 hours later and it is installing, as if I just got it today so,....

No I posted this to RDR2 because my whole game is gone, I have to re-install it, not just the online, this is a game issue not an online only issue. I cant play it at all, it is only 30% complete so it wont let me start a game until it closer to 80% if at all. I am just hoping that when I have it installed, and updated that my online profile and stats are saved, otherwise I might be back to 0 and at the very beginning, and although things are super easy now compared to when I leveled up, the thought of going back through it all makes me a little sick to my stomach..

I turned on my xbox one today to play some RDR2O and I wasnt able to stat the game so I looked closely and say it was updating, I thought, ok cool, then I looked closer, it is a 95.9 Gig update, it is installing!!! WTF?? I sent R* a question and it is near impossible to get a human being on Microsofts site for support or even an email, so I can only "ask a gamer" which I am still looking closer at to see if I can get some actual support. Has anyone else has this happen? I am a little freaked out as I was at level 110, and I really dont want to imagine that my game was erased and my progress all gone. Is that even a thing, does this happen? Ive never heard of it happening and I would be pretty devastated it is has happened, it would probably be the end of my p;laying tghe game, I cant imagine starting over. Uggg.

It took me a month to realize there were more story missions that I didnt know about, turns out I was too high honor to see them. I realized this while grinding in a posse and talking to a few others who had done them, I looked and was 75% so last night. for the first time, I went and got on a roof in St Denis and slaughtered anyone who moved and their horse and lowered my honor to 75% low honor, and tada 3 more missions became available, now I am 100% with story missions. I just thought it was funny I played them all early on, then moved on, never thought about them again, so after 2 months at level 105 I finally had new missions to do, lol. I later realized they do hint to this in certain places and times, but I had missed it. So if you are wondering why your story missions arent 100% in "progress" you probably need to lower or raise your honor.

I think they were a little off while R* was patching duplication glitches and other fixes, once they get that done and move on I think things will get smoothed out, and I have to say today and yesterday the 24th and 25th they have been running great for me, an occaisoinal issue like a delayed reaction to start a missions but they do run and have been steady for me anyway.

Well thats wild, and the opposite of what I was told but if you actually did it , I am going to say, it must be that way still then, either way I am not wasting 12 minutes for a larger payout, I would rather go do another mission, today they were rolling great, I did Flaco, then immediately did Sadie Adler, then cleared the hideout up there and found a random encounter on the way back to Valentine, so I dunno, I would love larger payouts but I hate wasting time.

I was getting them pretty often then it stopped, I havent gotten one other than every 5 ranks in a LONG time, like 20 hideouts without a map at least, I was thinking about this today, I looted over a hundred bodies today and didnt get one item I can pawn or a map, I just wanted to finish my daily challenges by selling a few items to pawn. So I wonder if they nerfed the maps since they added the multiplier, I dont know but my experience has been no maps except for every 5 ranks.
