So, I have had this scenario play out three times now. I just used the Rockstar suggestion form to suggest a fix. Here is what has been happening. A level 5 player, ( for some reason all three were level 5 players,) so brand new, right out of the intro, come to think of it dont you have to steal a horse and all that and you end up I thought at level 7 or 11? I dont remember but it just now dawned on me at level 5 you just entered the game for the first time where you can actually free roam, lol. Ok, so here is what they do. See me skinning an animal usually and then point a carbine repeater at me and start shooting, sigh.. Its not a problem like "oh no I keep getting attacked", lol its hardly an attack, it is barely a threat, BUT it is inconvenient, and it is backwards because here is how this plays out. So ok I warned him once, he is still pointing and or shooting, so ok, I pull out dual sawed off's and dismembered him, now I immediately turn red/offensive so now I can be easily targeted, etc..he presses charges, lol after instigating this and being the aggressor with obvious intent, but ok, and then he comes attacking. It was pretty funny to see this little dude with his un-modified carbine come charging on foot, lol and I told him again in the mic, "Dude, you started it and got what you deserved, if I came up to you and pointed a gun, you would have shot me, AND I told you not too, now if you keep coming all you are going to do is waste my ammo and time, I have things to do." But he kept coming, so I changed to my Slippery B card to reverse the offensive auto targeting thing he had been given and then I arm a bow with dyna arrows and wait, after 3 I left the server because I don't want to waste my dynamite. The point is, when a player comes up and points his gun at you, HE or SHE should then become red and offensive so that if you decide to defend yourself and shoot first to prevent being killed, you are allowed to and not charged or made the offender. I just think as soon as he targeted me, he should have gone red, I didnt give him a chance this time, previously I did and I was shot each time, so I got sick of that and figured, if they come up and point a gun at me, I'm shooting. But I don't think it is right that I get the penalty albeit small and the medium offensive level wears off in about 10 minutes so... But still I think they need to fix that.

So I just sent a "suggestion" to Rockstar about the two best saddles in the game. The beaver roping saddle and the Panther trail saddle. Both have the best attributes, they swap the health and stamina drain rates otherwise have the same attributes and are the best in the Online game. the issue is, one costs cash, the other gold only. I hate that but ok, I saved and paid the 18 Gold bars to buy it. I own both. The issue I have with it is that you dont get any options for color. I would appreciate a few choices, so if I want to use it on my grey and white/black Trotter I can get one to match and if I have the dark brown Turk I can get one that matches it. The beaver roping saddle for example looks great on the Dark brown Turk, but the Panther trail saddle looks bad, it is too light of a brown and just doesnt compliment the horse at all. My other Trotter is light brown so all three of my main horses are very different in their looks, and I would buy more than one of these despite the high gold only cost, IF they had color options. As it is I use it for the stats only because I hate the color, I prefer the Beaver saddle as it looks great on my dark brown horse. But it is hard to ignore the stamina drain rate on the Panther saddle, so... I run it but it makes me switch horses to my light brown Trotter. The Trotter is a great horse, but again, I want to have a saddle for each horse that compliments its looks. If you agree with this please send Rockstar a note asking them for color options on the expensive "special" saddles, we have to earn those and then pay with gold only I want options. If enough people mention it, maybe they will add options. Yes I checked all the chicken coops I could think of or find I did eventually get the camps to work again but it was a matter of switching servers, hard starting the console, etc,.. BTW, I eventually found a rooster ion Rhodes just south of the pawn show at the slave village I think it is, they have a coop and I found one there, then I jumped sessions and got the other one.

So never without one still doesnt work anymore right? I see people running so I wonder if it got fixed or they just dont care, it was great before the patch, but now it seems like if they hit you in the neck, or side of the head you die regardless so it kind of made is useless.

For about 1 minute more then I am out, I will put in the work and grind and all that but when the game goes from working perfectly to not working at all over night Im out. Between this camp thing and the fact that I can not find a single rooster I am ready to blow!! I have been to every spot you expect a rooster to be, Emerald ranch, Armadillo, Valentine, Mamma Watsons, etc.. wtf rooster?!?!? I go at night, back in the morning during the afternoon, doesnt matter when I go, no roosters!! These daily challenges where you have to fond stuff dont usually bother me, I know where everything is, But I have never really had to get a rooster before, I see chickens everywhere, but no roosters, I looked up several videos, they each show a different location, but for me, not one damn rooster!! add to that my camp wont spawn and Im getting aggravated.

Yeah its a mess, these modes suck, some are ok, but it is nearly impossible to play them unless you have friends who play and you do it together, I can see where that woudl be fun, but if you are like me, and have next to no friends on xbox then that isnt in the cards, so as a lone player it is awful. Between the teams shuffling for no reason just before the game starts, people not working together, people using dyno arrows in pvp, etc.. it is unplayable. I have zero enjoyment these days, not to mention the cards are all nerfed I dont know what works and what doest anymore, slow and steady doesnt work as it should, never without one doesnt work, I dont know about the rest as I havent put in much time lately, I tried for a few days but got stressed trying to navigate it all so I bailed.

This has been happening more and more. Today I cant set up a camp at all and it is so frustrating, I want to scream!!! damnit I need my camp, wtf.

So, I was running Slow and steady with a few others, I swap them out but tried several, but slow and steady itself seems like it is not protecting me very much at all compared to before. I am thinking of going back to PIB which also free's up a slot that I was using the one that slows dead eye drain, and replacing it with peak condition, strange medicine and the other one that restores health as you deal out damage of the one that makes it so each consecutive shot does more and more damage. What are you guys using? What is the most popualr working combo right now? I have Slippery, PIB and Slow and steady for dead eye cards, Slippery has its place, like capture the flag type games, but I dont use it in showdown or last man standing or name your weapon. I am going to try PIB today and se how that is working. When all else fails, explosive ammo, incendiary ammo and dyno arrows, lol If I cant get head shots, Ill just go postal with the dynamite.

I tried the new pvp mode last night, the vip one I forget what its called, anyway, people were killing me with dyno arrows, lol, that was a first for me, so I went out and equipped them and came back and returned the favor, it was a litle fun, but showdown sucked. I have to figure out what cards are working best after the update, I think PIB and shotgun is the combo right now and varmit rifle, I dont use the Varmit in pvp, I have been using Springfield and lancaster with dual sawed off's or LAmats, its ok, but not great. It feels like slow and steady is nerfed and not working, so never without one is useless now, and I am thinking maybe slow and steady too, I was definitely getting killed with head shots, and a tier III Slow and steady says headshots wotn kill you outright, but, they sure did, so I dunno have to experiment a little and swap some cards in and out. Im just glad I have so many cards, I have all the "good ones" lol

I hope that didnt sound all braggy, I didnt mean it like that, I was just blown away. I did it again today, another 11 gold bars and 2 levels gone so yeah it is a thing right now the way these promotions and bonuses are working. Im thinking for the next week or so, I should be able to keep this up and make 11 or more gold bars a day, since I dont need anything except the panther saddle I will get that and then save the rest for something that comes along later one I guess.

Bored, I mean what else could it be?At level 350 lol you have done it all, 100 times, so.. I dont excuse it, but I think I might maybe understand it a little, and I dont like it but meh, could also be someone else playing on his account, like his buddy or something.

Long long ago before they nerfed and added the bounties people woudl do this in every populated area, you would go to St Dens or Blackwater and see bodies everywhere lol. Now that they made a few changes it still happens, heck I did it a few weeks ago as I said to lower my honor for free, but not as much as it once was. Oh and I found a better way to level up make gold and cash, I have been combining hunting and missions giver missions, I did a loop between Sadie and Flaco I did each one 6 times, and in between I had 3 random encounters and 2 hideouts, in all I went up two and a half levels, made 11 gold bars, $700, and found a treasure map, in about 5 hours of game time. Plus while doing the missions, I got a clock, I would run the clock to 30 seconds everytime by hunting while I waited, I came in with over 30 pelts on my horse 4 times in a row, it was great, fun, the time went by quickly and I keep leveling up, everyday I log in I get 2 to 3 gold bars right off the bat for leveling up, then another 2 to 3.5 for daily challenges, so that leaves to 8 I make doing missions and finding treasure maps.

Well today I looted all the bodies and found 2 treasure maps, yesterday I was clearing an ambush campsite thing, and a guy showed up and helped me, I said hey man, go on and loot some bodies you earned it, and he rode off, the very next body gave me a map!! Woot!! love it!1 I encourage you not to loot them, more for me, by the way it paid me 1.66 gold!! so yeah it was pretty sweet.

At least you actually tried it, for that my hat is off to you man, I get it and if those are the results, sigh..then I understand. If more people tried stuff I think all in all the game woudl get even better. I think my main thing is this. If we get into a pvp game like the territory game or one of the other team based games, I woudl say at least try it for a minute ethere, if nobody answers or is talking about strategy then mute it and forget it, but if you happen to join and I am in there, lol together we can talk strategy, we can have a laugh and we can dominate. I just hate playing those p[articular modes when nobody talks, look some days I go in and try, but still noone responds, so I just hang in there until the frustration is too much and I quit, lol.

Thanks, I alter the black one depending on region as it gets a little warm, like I add chaps and a sweater for COlter but loose the shirt all together if I am in Rhodes, it is my bandit look, lol. I love the tan one with poncho and the strung Sombrero that hat is great, it is the same one FLaco wears. When I am in New Austin I look like a Del Lobo.

I did this when I wanted to lower my honor so I could play the remaining story missions that you cant play as a high honor player, it was fun. But I made a lot more xp hunting, sometimes I dont even stop to skin them, just shoot everything that moves and mix up the weapons use pistols, arrows, etc.. shoot every bird of every size that you encounter, shoot everything, every Buffalo etc.. shoot everything lol and XP adds up fast. I made 25000 xp today in 5 hours, thats 5000 xp per hour, and I made 11 gold bars in the same time, a combo of hunting, running stranger missions, clearing hideouts, clearing campsite ambushes, running 2 or 3 stranger encounters, and doing 5 daily challenges.

Oh you just reminded me of another one, check this out. I get a mission from Shaky the dude in New Austin. So it is an assassination thing but killing npc's, so I rush to get there and as I show up, two guys are there, and they have killed all my guys, lol I get the mission over screen, and I get paid, but not very much as it was done really super fast, but these guys ran into my mission and did it!! And one other I just remembered. I was hunting through Cholla Springs, and I see in eagle eye, these long paths, and they stayed there but there were three of them, and really long. It looked like the ones when you get a mission to do a hunt, and then I see what I think is a vulture so I shoot it , and a guy pops up our of the bushes, it was a dead npc killed by the cougar, and another player must have just got the mission to come hunt it but I showed up first, and so I noticed the clue, got up and was standing there, I see the guy riding up fast, so I just left to see if he was able to maybe still get it to work for him, lol. so yeah those are my "crazy players" stories from yesterday and today.

I was about to log in and should have no goldto start today as I used it all last night, as I log in I get my daily bonus for levels completed the day before, I get 2 gold bars, so ok, cool. I get in and have 2.34 I think, something like that. before it was over I made and spent 11.5 gold bars. My daily challenges hit day 21 today, and my multiplier went up to 2.5!!! So just doing the daily challenges I could have made 3.5 gold bars, I get .5 gold bars for each daily challenge I complete now for the next week, then it goes up again. I did 5 of them, so 2.5 bars, plus the 2 bars I got when logging in, thats 4.5 gold bars, the rest I earned doing stranger missions and letting the clock go to 30 seconds, I did 8 to 10 of them, plus several hideouts, a few ambushes, a couple encounters, etc... I hunted the whole time as I was trying to level up two new ability cards I am going to run, one of them needs less than 900 xp points to go to tier 3, and that means I made just under 25000xp all together. I played from 10:30 am til around 4. I have a nice system right now with this bonus, I am going to go back in later and try to hit a whole other level, I need like 900 to hit 123, so I want to then hit 124 before I log off if I can, so tomorrow Ill start with 3 bars, plus daily challenges. It was the most productive day I have had yet with both xp and gold. I can almost count on 5 gold bars a day if I keep leveling up 2 levels a day. Funny thing is I am only using gold on my guns and I am nearly done with them all, but thats what I did, I made my dual sawed off shotguns a combo of black and gold today, I dont even use them much anymore lol but I figured until all my guns are done, this is all need gold for. I think now I am going to use the remainder of the daily challenge bonus for the cougar saddle I need. Anyway, point is, this is a great time to be leveling up in RDR2O. If you are just getting started or you have been around, its a great time to log in everyday and even if you just do one daily challenge you can get the bonus, and it adds up.

Oh totally man, we need players, and new players are not a nuisance unless they make themselves one, I was just pointing out that most of the issues I have online with other layers, are lower level players lately. I was a new player too, I just didnt bother people or shoot at them and make excuses for it.

Again, in Free Roam, meh, thats your choice, do it, dont do it, I think you are missing out but whatever BUT in pvp team games, I feel like, why are these people here? how can they expect to do well if they dont even try to play as a team? Now I get it some people play with friends, so yeah you are working together, just not with me and the other public solos in the room, and thats where I think you should at least try it. I met a few people in pvp playing in blackwater, the territory game, and they were really into winning, lol so when joined their team, they immediately talked to me, said "Hey Lumper, lets go!! lets get them" stuff like that and I just followed the guy talking, and man was it fun, plus we won, a lot. I just think if you are going to play those team games it would be so much better if more people at least tried to communicate is all. The one or two times I heard bad music, mouth breathing, etc... I muted that player, it took one second, and the rest of the room could hear me, so when I had encounters, they were mostly good, not all, I had a few griefers who werent sympathetic lol, but they didnt talk into their mics untiil I talked to them, they had them on and just muted their end, but were listening. Also, often when a person walked toward me and I thought, "uh oh here we go" a whole bunch of times I was able to defuse it with my mic, just by talking to them and saying stuff like, hey, back up, I see you, you dont need to get any closer man, seriously Im warning ya, I see your weapon ready to go, I have a dyno arrow lit, I dont want to splat you but if you dont leave me any other choice I will... stuff like that lol and it works. I made a few friends like that, lol. I see a player waving, I talk to them, hey whats up? hows it going? sometimes they put on their mic other times they wave, then ride off, but they heard me.

I use a mic everytime the whole time, do you know how many toxic players I have heard? Seriously in 122 levels how many would you think? The answer is none, not one, zero!! I never, ever hear anyone ever! LOL this is so irritating, what is everyone afraid of? I think it makes it harder to wrong people or act like a jerk or rush someone else's 99% cleared hideout and start looting their bodies, if you are also talking to them and can hear them and are also talking back, I think it makes people behave a little better when they can hear your voice. I know this to be true because I started using a mic to stop some of the griefing, and it actually worked., I also made some good friends, and a few people who were acting stupid later felt really bad, explained their point of view I understood and they went and hunted with me and brought me carcasses to the butcher to help me out after killing me and my horse and all because we chatted, we didnt scream and yell and swear at each other, we were civil, and as matter of fact. If you dont use a mic at all , I truly believe you are missing out, Maybe you had a bad experience, or in other games but I am telling you 100% I swear on my kids, I have not had one single toxic encounter on the mic. Now, in pvp, yeah you get smack talkers, But they arent toxic, they are just getting into the competitive nature of the game, and I love it!! Because when I get into a territory game and at least one other player uses his mic, we can coordinate and each time this happens, we dominate, because we are organized, and we work together. Even if the rest of our team doesnt, the two of us together can take territories and move on quickly and almost every time our team starts working with us too, indicating they hear us, they just arent talking. Anyway seriously I strongly encourage you to at least try it in PVP, you dont want it in free roam, sure no worries that is your time, But hen you join a team based game, and we need to work together, you are handicapping your whole team by ignoring them and not working together, to me, why bother playing a team game if you refuse to play with your team? Not you specifically of course, I just mean anyone, I am so tired of playing those team games because of this simple fact, too many people play like lone wolves, no team work at all and I hate to lose because of other people, I just wont play. I wish they made it required, Mic or you cant join period, disco or mute your mic and the game kicks you, it would put an end to it and make the game soo much better

I have no idea and I havent been able to confirm it, BUT a guy on reddit then later youtube made a video, and a post explainaing he tested this over many clearings and he swears if you dont have any bodies respawn, then every 30., if any body even one body re spawns, it resets. But again, who knows.

Dude, this exact thing happened to me last night too, a guy showed when I had 3 bodies left to kill, he sh*t one, then proceeded to rush loot all my bodies, I told him in my mic, not cool bro, this is my hideout, you got here when I was done, I would never show up and do that to you so I dont appreicate it, but obviously he ignored me and just tried to loot all he could then ran off to his buddy. I think they saw the smoke, rushed over there and then realized I had been there already and was nearly done, his ego and attitude wouldnt let him realiae the ovious truth, someone else already got here, so he just couldnt help himself, lol. Let me tell you, I have rushed like the wind many times and got there to find otherts clearing it, once I got there and could have started it but I noticed to guys also showed up, so in all those cases, I thought, meh, there are no shortage of these, Im gonna let them have it, no issues, and I just turned and left, im not going to act like a crack head picking up crumbs in a carpet over 20 bodies, lol Ill just get the next one. But I thought of this post and then read your reply in particular and thought, oh that is funny, I wonder if it was the same guy?

Yes, that drives me nuts too and I think it is partly being manipulated by people who play regularly and know how to influence the system to get on the team they want, it happens way too often and many times when teams are balanced it does it anyway so I dont trust it or know why it still scrambles everyone, but if you look at the player list prior to the end, things will look good, a well balanced set of teams and then all at once, it is a scramble and tada, they are not balanced any more and people are playing with thier friends. I dont get what they do or even if they can influence it but it sure seems like it sometimes, and yeah, that bothers me too, I wish it werent like that, you should only be able to select that you want to play, then the game does the rest and puts you where it wants you and you have no say in the matter, I woudl much rather see that happen, so at least I know the game isnt being manipulated by people. Especially team based games, you really need to talk to your team mates to coordinate to really do well, and if you can not, well you just arent goign to do as well as a team who does communicate. Anyway I hope that more people will write to Rockstar and tell them, they dont like this system and woudl like it to be simple, just a list of game modes and leave us be.
