It is frustrating, i have had one or 2 try and kill me on PS4 just yesterday, the thing that tells me it's children mostly is the time it happens. I can be playing away and the time gets to 16.00 and then it starts. I finished installing the PC version yesterday and was shocked that i couldn't find any players to do the early missions with, i don't like using Keyboard and Mouse although i am pretty good with them prefering a Joypad, after many years gaming my wrists are pretty much wrecked and joypad is an easy solution. The best thing you can do with griefers is parlay and get the hell out of the area, you get 10 minutes so with a fast horse you can be on the other side of the map or secondly just kill them back, it's obviously hard if your level is a lot lower, also griefers tend to be in a posse so just do the first option. All online games have griefers so don't let it get to you, eventually you will be at a good level to handle them.

It's the same on PS4 with griefers, I have just bought the PC version too. The thing is you shouldn't be restricted to playing certain events because of them, unfortunately it happens in a lot of games and it's mainly Children and adults that haven't grown up. It's a shame for people who just want to play the game without hassle. There is a Collector event called Salvage on PS4 which has combat disabled, not sure if it's on PC yet as still downloading it, which is a slow process for me.

Looks like no Turkey this Christmas, I can't even find a Rabbit. Come on Rockstar pull your finger out and let us have some winter hunting please.

At the end of the day this is a major problem for the majority of players, I can only speak for the players that use PS4, I was going to buy the game on PC but the state of the game on PlayStation is rubbish. I can play for upto 8 hours a day and the situation doesn't improve, and the problem started after the Moonshiner role dropped. I actually thought R* had done the animal spawn issue on purpose so that players would play the Moonshiner role more. Also switching servers for me is an issue because I end up with an endless black screen which I have to close and reload the game from scratch. You don't need 20/20 vision to see the game is flawed and at the end of the day the buck stops with R* imho.

I don't think it's the amount of players on a server, before the Moonshiner dlc I was always on servers with 24 to 25 players and the animals were still plentiful, and the switch server idea doesn't work for me as I end up in an endless black screen loading forever. I then have to close the application and load the game again, I know a few players having the same problem (PS4). I did some bounties yesterday and the animal spawns were just the same. The only deer I saw was on a mercy killing event and that ended up being a 1 star carcass. I would contact Rockstar support but I know they are going to say the problem lies with my equipment, it's the common reply for most game companies these days.

I have had the same problem, I just close application and reload. It's a Rockstar fault not a PS4 error.

I actually went down by Tumbleweed and Armadillo and the situation is the same, I didn't see one Deer yesterday apart from one I killed in the mercy killing event, and that was a 1 star carcass, in the end I just did some bounties even though I am max level, I too hope it's sorted soon.

I did the Sam Elliot one from the same film and got him to level 75, only for a friend of mine to accidently delete him while at my house (Long Story). I am now running a Female Native which I am now very happy with and back up to level 67 with. Love the Doc Halliday character you have, looks great. Hoping the add another character slot in the future so I can have another crack at the Sam Eliot one, one of my all time favourite actors especially in Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze may he rest in peace.

I read somewhere that the servers that Rockstar uses for RDO are rubbish but they chose the cheaper option to save money, and now it's kicking them in the butt. I will try to find the link where I read it and add it here.

Been trying to do Trader levelling since moonshiner dropped, it was ok for the first day but since then it's garbage, trying to level with Skunks and Badgers etc and most of them are one star or 2. I head shot a 3 star wolf yesterday and when I skinned it, it was 1 star. I can't be bothered doing the Moonshiner role atm, I done a couple of missions but the second had me sat on a black screen for 10 minutes until I had to reload the game.

I always have Paint It Black equipped along side winning streak, peak condition and for the life of me I can't remember my 4th card lol, someone was taking pot shots at me while in free roam and hit me at least 3 times maybe more, I ended up just killing him with one shot using my trusty LeMat Revolver, I think it's the most under rated gun in the game but I love it along with my Evans Repeater.

Thanks guys, I managed a whole level yesterday I am now level 9, I was getting really annoyed yesterday all I could get was small game like skunks a few birds and the odd rabbit, I forgot to mention to Freakshow that I haven't got a wagon being only level 9 and don't see the logic in buying one if there are no animals to put in to one. I keep seeing the Trade Route event popping up but had no idea what it was so have never tried it, the only ones I do are fishing and the salvage one which is awesome. I will keep plugging away and look into the Trade Route event..

Thanks for the quick reply Freakshow, was looking for Bison on the Great Plains to just increase my materials with Cripps but I can't remember the last time I seen a Bison in all honesty even though I always pass through that area pretty regular. I did notice and this might sound odd, but if you look at your map, generally there is a sketch of an animal that is prevalent in that area, if the sketch isn't there then the animal won't be there. I will be back online later to see if I can have more success. It's funny, I levelled Collector without even trying, I only need Trader and Moonshiner to have all 4 Frontier pursuits, I like to concentrate on one at a time though instead of doing them all together.

Hi Everyone Been trying to level my Trader but am struggling this time, I have levelled one to level 20 before and it was easy, this time I can't find animals, it's like when I enter an area they all do a vanishing act. The last couple of days has been really bad, you probably won't believe this but after roughly 12 hours in game I have only gone up 2 levels, from 6 to 8. I had a great spot in Big Valley but during a delivery or after Cripps decided to move the camp and that's when the lack of animals began. I usually hunt in Big Valley and Heartlands. I even tried the baits but nothing. I was wondering if maybe Rockstar have been nerfing the game again, I was totally fed up yesterday and switched off before I threw my ps4 pro through the window lol. Anyone else noticed a lack of animals or am I just been unlucky ?

WA doing a mission yesterday, one of the caravan escort ones and a griefer killed me and then went to town killing the npc's and horses and blowing up the caravan. When I respawned I killed the griefer who tried to come back and kill me again, by now I was annoyed and killed him again. Then to my shock he actually reported me lol, I don't mind being killed by other players but this guy was trying to wreck my game play which I wasn't going to take. If they leave me alone I leave them alone. I noticed that griefers are generally low level but you doing get the occasional higher level player griefers as well, they have no excuse to bug other players and are just as easily dispatched Odin

The gun holsters seem all wrong to me, I don't know if anyone else has picked up on this so here goes. Your main gun holster is on your right side which is perfectly correct imho, unless your left handed :P. When you equip your second holster it is also facing the right which would make it almost impossible to draw your weapons quickly at the same time, it works if your using one weapon at a time but isn't that defeating the purpose of dual wield ?. Being a western fan I would like to see a holster on the right and left leg like in some of the old cowboy films. Odin

I don't do them. when I first started playing online I did one and straight away it became a feud, we spent the next few hours killing each other, real waste of time. I think Rockstar should stop them as they can lead to all sorts of trouble, the other player doesn't know it's for a mission and you can't very well tell him lol. Stop em I say. Odin

Being a Viking fan Odin seemed the obvious choice, I first used Odin as a gametag when Rome Total War was released which was a long while back, it's only recently that a friend suggested adding Lord as I have been playing as Odin so long I should be knighted lol, mainly added 61 as a security precaution as I use my game tag for almost everything.
