  1. It's been a frustrating few days, lost track of the number of glitches. One of the positive things in this update, though, that I haven't seen mentioned yet: They tweaked some of the values of pelts for Cripps. Most notably, the pelts that take up the entire back slot of your horse are no longer necessarily a waste of space. Perfect Elk pelt is now 8.13 points, I think it used to be 4.50. Perfect Black Bear pelt is 4.38 points, I believe, still low-ish but better than it was. Didn't get a perfect Grizzly pelt yet, but a Good one was 4.50 I think, so I assume a perfect one will be 8+ as well. Perfect gator skin is 1.38 points, up from 0.66 - so still not really worth it, but I guess with how easy gators are to kill that makes sense. Other "normal" pelts, like deer & prong etc, also have increased in value. Especially perfect ones seem to have gone up a chunk. (I think in some or maybe even all cases, good and perfect pelts used to be worth the same - not totally sure, I stopped paying close attention a while ago. In any case, looks like they tweaked that now, for the better, and it's a bit easier to fill your bar now.) Not sure if the skins of smaller animals increased as well, I never really looked at those closely.
  2. Carrying 1 of 20 Red Nose.
  3. Well, mash costs 50. I think it was initially 60, but I must have reduced the base price with a mission somewhere early on, not sure. So 50 is the base price, but that can be reduced to 30 if you do a Maggie mission - either type - right before ordering the mash. So 30 or 50, that cost is the same for weak medium or strong mash. Plus some ingredients for the flavoring. Unflavored weak shine sells for 52, I think. Flavored for 75-82ish. I think medium flavored shine is in the 120-150 range, strong around 180-240ish. That's for a full 20 bottle load though. If you break even a few bottles along the way, which is really easy to do, it takes a decent chunk off tbat price. On the other hand, deliveries tend to be very short distance, and 4 out of 5 times the revenuers haven't bothered me.
  4. Yeah, I've been having a few issues with it too since my previous post. Sometimes it works fine, but sometimes when launching with the "camp" option, it starts me at the spot my camp used to be, but the camp itself has moved to a different location. And just now I teleport to camp after a Trade Route, and only half the camp is there (the fast travel post, the campfire and a few random bits and pieces) while the camp icon is some place halfway across the map, and when I get there, there's nothing there. So yeah, they're not there yet. With this, and constant glitches with pretty much everything I try to do, I think it's time to drastically reduce my playing hours for a while.
  5. I wish they'd save the carcasses and pelts on your horse when you get disconnected, and also when you join free roam events (it does keep the pelts for those.) That would reduce my headache at least by half already. The amount of animals I've lost through game crashes or "you've been disconnected because of Rockstar's fault xoxo" could fill many a wagon.
  6. I sent in a bug report about it earlier today, but feel free to do so as well. Can't hurt. I'm sure they'll get it all sorted eventually, but for now it's a bit of a buggy mess indeed.
  7. Yeah, that happens occasionally. Restarting the game tends to fix it for me. Had a very obvious one yesterday where I couldn't find the item at any of the three locations (they were close together so I checked all 3 to test it) and after a relaunch I found them easily. (And two of the three were metal detector items, so it's not like I over-looked them; metal detector did nothing the first time, but worked after relaunch.)
  8. Just had this happen as well. Or at least something reset it. My shine had been ready for a while, but I was doing other stuff. Did a Salvage event, and pretty sure at the end of that I got the "Your moonshine is ready" pop up. Then I hunted a while and picked some vanilla flowers, did a Trade Route - don't remember the msg popping up after that one, but not sure - hunted some more on the way to camp, did a resupply mission, fast traveled to shack to deliver, but 0 bottles ready. Pretty sure I did missions and events before while the shine was cooking or ready, without issues. Edit: also, I had to restart the game before I could start a new batch, because the options for mash and flavor were greyed out.
  9. Yeah, 50 is probably not far off. I got through it the first try, but did die once, and had to chug half a dozen tonics along the way. They hit pretty hard.
  10. It's actually even more of a back and forth than you describe. At least if you want to reduce the price of the mash, because then you have to do a mission from Maggie before buying the mash. But after delivering the previous batch. If you do a Maggie mission while a batch is cooking, you get XP etc, but that doesn't count for a price reduction for the next batch of mash. So it's: Deliver bottles - back to shack - do Maggie mission - back to shack - buy mash/add flavor - go do something else for a while - back to shack - deliver bottles. Would be nice if you could do a mission for Maggie instead of "go do something else for a while" which counts to reduce the price for the next batch. And indeed, both the Maggie missions and the delivery missions sometimes fail to load, and if you fast traveled to the shack, it usually respawns you back where you fast traveled from after restarting the game. So yeah, it's been a bit of an aggravating day with lots of fast traveling - went through two sets of free FT coupons already, heh. The Manzanita area is quite alright as far as traveling with bottles, by the way. Lost a couple here and there, but nothing too bad. Grizzlies, yeah, I can imagine... As for the income from moonshining: yeah, before level 5, there's hardly any profit. After the level 5 upgrade it gets a bit better though.
  11. Yeah, before I got into the Trader role, I rarely bothered with the camp, plenty of campfires around. Several near the butchers as well. There's one right across the road at the Valentine butcher, for instance. One near the Saint Denis butcher as well, at the railroad tracks. Most of the ones in Blackwater don't work, but there's one near a green house just out of town, I believe. And the ones in the camps that spawn for Rescue or Campsite Defend missions usually work as well. The Deluxe Campfire is worth the money, though.
  12. Same thing happened to me a bit ago. I play solo though, don't have a posse and wasn't part of one. Still said "your posse abandoned the job." Tried another poster right after, same board, that one worked. So I wouldn't worry too much about your posse being bugged or something. The game has been quite glitchy the last few days with all sorts of stuff. I'm sure they'll sort it all out eventually. You should feed your horse, by the way.
  13. Same here, and I've seen a few other people mention it as well. Happens with moonshine delivery missions as well. (I've had one where I lost the bottles, two where I didn't.) I even had it with a trade delivery earlier today. Didn't lose that cargo, luckily, that was worth a bit more than the moonshine.
  14. I only tried launching with the Camp option 4 times so far, I think, but it works for me. Though it did randomly move the camp from Hennigan to the swamps one time, and took almost a full minute to load another time. But if that's the worst of it, I can live with that.
  15. That must be a bug, though. Can't really blame the poor horse for that.
  16. "Updates have been made to the Collector role collectible spawn system to make spawns less predictable" That's what the patch notes say. No idea about the details, but personally I like this a lot. Even without using online maps, I was already remembering a number of collection spawns after just a few weeks, and getting a bit bored with it. Randomizing it will add some longevity to the Collector role.
  17. No clear favorite for me, but if I had to pick, I'd say the Hennigan/Great Plains area, with Thieves Landing in particular. Apart from yesterday after the update, where the camp stayed up pretty much all day through several relogs (only changing locations within the same area a few times,) I've just had to put the camp wherever the game let me set it up after 17 tries. I usually hunt wherever missions/events etc. lead me, though, so then I just fast travel to camp when ready to offload. There are a few camp spots where it can be a challenge to get your delivery wagon from camp to the nearest road though.
  18. I had the issue of moonshine missions not starting a few times as well. (Stuck on the loading screen, with the rotating cylinder in the bottom corner, had to Task Manager out of it.) Happened twice with a bootlegger mission from Madam Fike, and once with a delivery mission, but I didn't lose the bottles. I wasn't sure about animal spawns. Some moments it was ok, but then there were also stretches where I didn't see any animals and thought it was bugged, but then eventually saw a rabbit or a few deer in the distance. I figured it was because of increased player activity with the new update, but I dunno.
  19. K, cheers, and yeah, totally understand about mission details. (Couldn't immediately figure out the spoiler tags anyway, heh, but I added a warning at the beginning just in case.)
  20. Apologies, I'll add the tags asap.
  21. There might be additional costs later, I'm not far into it yet, but don't think so. ***minor spoilers about new Moonshine role*** I think there were 6 shack locations to choose from. I picked the one near Manzanita Post, there was also Bayou, Heartlands, Hennigan, Grizzlies... I think I'm forgetting one. It said you can move locations later, but not sure what, if anything, that costs. It's an instanced thing, it seems. (Hold E - on PC - at the door to get inside, kinda thing.) Then some easy missions to set up the operation. Different recipies for different flavor moonshine. Then it looks sorta similar to the trader thing, takes some time to cook, then deliver it. (At least I assume, I cooked one batch, but haven't delivered it yet, about to go do that.)
  22. 40 gold for the pass, 25 for moonshine shack.
  23. I wouldn't mind it either. Not that I'd use it a lot, but it would be nice to occasionally be able to type "sorry" when you crash into another player or "thanks" when they revive your horse, rather than having to choose between waving and nodding, and then accidentally selecting Spit or pulling out a weapon, because the emote controls aren't exactly the most intuitive.
  24. The game seems particularly glitchy the last few days. Might be coincidence, dunno. Lots of camp issues today. Had it stuck on trying to pitch a camp for a solid 5 minutes before it finally pitched one. Then later my horse lost its saddle when fast traveling to camp, and a bit later I got back to camp and there was nothing there (only the blue icon.) Then the game froze up on me, but I was about to relog anyway. Did you try that, by the way? Restarting the game. I mean.
  25. Might be the combo of certain CPUs with the GPU then, because I've been playing since it came out (well, day 3 or something) without issues. Or rather, no GPU related issues at least, as far as I can tell. There were plenty other issues, with the Rockstar Launcher etc, and game crashes, but those were the issues many other players were also having.
