  1. That youtube comment though, lol:

  3. Yeah it's the quiet before the storm I say. Quite understandable that people don't want to get too hyped up about something they won't see for near on 8 or so months (especially with a lack of any information on the game to get us hyped up more than what we were before the delay). Plus there are probably at least one or two cracker games to play before the time to take our minds off of it a bit.
  4. Thanks for this! It's something I haven't seen yet and it looks like a very decent cast so I have something new to watch soon.

  6. Here's an example of where it's going to hurt them too. I had Middle-earth: Shadow of War in my wish list and have instead removed it until a day in the future when it sells on a sweet special instead if I even decide to buy it. Why you ask? Middle-earth: Shadow of War is getting an in-game store, called the Market, that sells orcs and other items for use in the game's Nemesis System. One can also buy loot chests, war chests, XP boosts and bundles. Now sure, they say that none of the items sold for real money are pay to win (like an XP boost to save time isn't a pay to win item anyway) and that everything is optional. The reason I hate this though is that they've put a price on the content of the game in a way and cheapened it by providing this shortcuts for real cash. I'd hate paying full price for this game and then playing through it all the while thinking about what they did to try and cheapen the experience for some or superficially prolong it for others not willing to pay more money over. Read more on it here and here.

  8. Pretty cool! Makes me wonder what other songs would fit with it. Here's a quick shot at some of my random songs: https://www.mediafire.com/file/q0gvwjdiwxiijgy/RDR2 Trailer.mp4

  10. I honestly wish Rockstar would push to get it released on every possible platform to just allow more people to play it. I know that it wouldn't be quite the same game in terms of graphics but even then I'm sure everyone would still love being able to play it on the platform(s) that they own and prefer instead of being forced to pick one over another. This is where the specific platform exclusive content also ticks me off because it prevents everyone from getting the same experience at launch if they don't already own and decide to buy the game on the platform with exclusive content. I'm willing to wait a month or even up to three for the same game (but with all the content) on my platform of choice but not getting it on my platform or having to wait years is just not cool. Then again though if the platform owner decides the game isn't a good fit then I guess we have no say in the matter (ha, like we have any say anyway).
  11. Since a few of us still have a copy we could probably create a forum challenge of some kind where we re-play it from the start up to a certain point each week and then review what we played up until that point. Kind of like a review club where we can talk about what we like, dislike etc. up until that point in the game. I'm tempted to do this just one last time anyway before RDR2 comes.
  12. Dogmeat kinda thing I guess? Could work although I'd really want it to also be in single-player. Would be sweet having your pooch run alongside your horse and then also having him/her help catch snakes, "sniff" out an area for enemies, etc.
  13. Makes perfect sense to me. It's a big AAA game that carries A LOT behind it (I'd rather pick up RDR2 than another Assassin’s Creed given the choice unless of course I was specifically looking for a PC game to play lol...in which case "SCREW YOU T2!"). I honestly think it is a sort of suicide to release a new game (probably even worse with a sequel) near the same time as a super blockbuster such as RDR2 unless the genre itself is somewhat very different (i.e. Call of Duty). Will be interesting to see what the big numbers are without RDR2 though!
  14. I think it's still too early to call it either way. Personally I'd like multiple endings myself but also rather different based on decisions you make throughout the game (e.g. screw over Billy and his uncle will come hunt you down but help him and his second cousin might come hunt you down too or just be an extra thorn in your side later or). The multiple endings in GTA V are pretty much presented right at the very ending and really none of the game up until that point has any impact on the possible choices. Now if we were around three months away from release I'd say that anything someone had heard might have some credibility however with the delay I suspect that they didn't really mean what they said about it and have instead had to go back to the drawing board a bit to change some of the core game-play mechanics and/or story some internal testing that showed it just wasn't as much fun as they had hoped it would be (or just been pressured to get more online stuff in to get more possible revenue in ala GTA V online style). I mean this is what they said when it was delayed: " the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans". I don't buy the delay purely for that reason alone...

  16. I was wondering who still owns a copy of Red Dead Redemption as I've seen quite a few people are either replaying it or even only playing it for the first time now. I still own Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare on PS3.

  20. Yes please! I would love a second game. Does make me wonder what games they have in development and what sort of release periods they have for each. Bully 2, L.A. Noire 2, GTA VI, etc.
  21. Agreed (that is needs to be there lol). As for being excessive I think they took enough of a hiding with Hot Coffee. Quite an interesting read over at eurogamer if you're interested:
  22. For me personally it's an easy No. I tend to enjoy taking my time (when I have the time) playing through something solo that doesn't require me to be online. I played quite a bit of WoW back in the day and it eventually felt like a second job with all of the scheduled raids so joining a posse to enjoy content or even just compete in a death match style event isn't something I do anymore these days (also I have the reflexes of a twenty something year old poodle these days lol so I'd just get angry even trying). Plus it'll almost be a guaranteed micro transaction infested affair in some way or another (at least in terms of trying to boost your virtual worth - sure you can connect and participate without spending anything extra but that would just be like being another fly on the turd pile). Since it would also require an additional subscription via Microsoft or Sony to actually even connect with I can definitely say that I have almost zero interest in the online modes whatsoever.
  23. I'll agree that it doesn't have quite as many games that are shouting "buy me, buy me". There are some that I want but that are still just too pricey even on sale.
  24. So far it's pretty good however it is very much a puzzle game so beware if that's not your cup of tea. The first few "puzzle" areas are pretty easy to work through however it starts to get quite tricky but I must admit that I can't wait to get home tonight to play some more! There also seems to be a much harder set of "side" puzzles that I've skipped through a bit but it does bug me so I may spend a few additional hours just trying to figure them out before moving on. Tempted to possibly shell out for Far Cry Primal however it's just not quite at the sweet spot yet (I can actually get a physical copy a bit cheaper from a local online retail store although it will probably just include a "key in a box" deal with a steam/uplay installer). Nier Automata appears to be very highly rated however to be honest after watching some gameplay on youtube it just doesn't look like something I'd enjoy playing. Anyone here played it and want to share why it's so good because I think I may just be missing something? This is one that could definitely do with a demo I think.
