It's just another aesthetic pleasure, hence why art galleries are filled with nudies. And to be fair, it would add a degree of realism and immersion to a game aiming for such. I mean, my horse takes a dump ... This is so much spot on! More layers of realism and immersion never hurts, and those complaining about sex in a R* game are people that would find other things to complain about anyway. Just like how the thing with the youtuber murdering the suffragette went way out of hand since the reactions from people shows that a lot of humanity lacks brains.

I was referring to full sex, not "fade to black" like you suggested. If it changes the rating, it would change the number of people willing to buy it. Many parents are fine with buying an M rated game for their kids, they might be put off by an AO rating. I don't feel it adds enough to the game to be worth it. That's my opinion. I don't have a problem with it, I just don't think it's that important and don't understand why so many people care so much about this one little thing. How often would you go visit a prostitute in the game? Once? Twice? Is that worth the time and money to add? 1

Of course prostitutes would bring another layer to the game, it is called immersion in the era and time that the game is trying to reproduce. And saying that the possibility to pay for a prostitute and fade to black hearing som “noise” would make less people buy the game is just hyperbole. GTAV seems to thrive quite well and they have both strippers and prostitutes. So no, you are quite frankly just wrong or a Puritan of some kind. To me, blowing people head off in slow motion with a shotgun is way worse than the possibility to use the services of working girls, although I feel none of them is horrible at all as it is just pixels. But all aspects of the game makes immersion and the more layers added the better! If one hates the idea of prostitution in the game, then R* could just add the option to remove it just like some games removes gore as an option. This is not a game for kids in the first place and I do believe the world would feel more alive with more ways of interacting with the people in said world. I do not say this games succes is dependent of there being prostitutes or not, but that having them definitely brings realism and immersion. There are tons of other things I would like just as much or even more, like the possibility to rob banks in free roam mode. But this thread is about sex and prostitution in the game. So no, this game would not lose money by having them. That is pure speculation and not even good speculation at that, adult content for games made for adults and if one can accept body part being thorn to pieces then one definitely should be able to see the protagonist enter a room with a prostitute without getting an aneurism!? So you find no immersion without the sex? I'm sure adding sex, would add a few extra copies sold. Then again maybe it could cost the a few copies. To say it has to have it is non-sense for a player to become immersion into the game. Now if you knew your history, sex back then came from one of 3 forms, marriage, prostitution, and rape. Now seeing how the game doesn't mention marriage. One of those is already out of the picture. Prostitution could be used, Rockstar has used that for a long time, but not required for immersion. Then you have rape, well that is subject I really don't think you want players getting immersed into. My perspective is if it really adds to the game, fine. If not, there isn't any loss. You're funny. You know damn well from Friday the 13th: The Game that there's parents who actually encourage small children who are barely outside of being toddlers to play inappropriate games. A digital boob or a more, authentic expression of the "fun stuff" isn't going to deter these walking, talking arguments for population control. 9 minutes ago, Truth said: How often would you go visit a prostitute in the game? Just like how the thing with the youtuber murdering the suffragette went way out of hand since the reactions from people shows that a lot of humanity lacks brains. False equivalence. I can turn off the game and "immerse" myself in the things consenting adults do without violating the law or another person's rights. What I cannot do is go out and hogtie a woman and murder her. The law, and common decency tend to frown on that sort of behavior, so save us the "immersion" argument. 4 minutes ago, YodaMan 3D said: My perspective is if it really adds to the game, fine. I can't ride a horse and fight rival outlaw gangs in the real world. It's the reason we don't have a bestselling "parenting simulator"-nobody wants to play it. 1

I will say it makes A LOT more sense in RDR2 than in F13, but still doesn't really add anything to the game.
riptide87 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 I was expecting some prostitution action that was "unseen" but I think they wanted to get away from the sexual humor of GTA in these games. I really didn't notice it wasn't in the game till a friend brought it up.

It isn't something that would have added value to the game for me but having it also wouldn't have taken value away. I guess I am indifferent to it.
