I have the special edition and i was riding my Dappled Black Thoroughbred and i fell off a cliff and my horse died. I can't find it in the stable anywhere so have i lost it?!? If i can't use the same horse for the rest of the game I won't be happy as I paid extra for it and now it's just disappeared, its DLC so shouldn't i permanently keep it?

Hi did you check your camp and all your inventory? Also maybe whistle for it around your camp

Good evening, all.

     I understand that to access one's War Horse bonus from pre-ordering, one must have made it to the tutorial mission for the stables. I have made it there, and even further in the story by a few missions, and my War Horse still is not there. Every other horse that should be there is indeed there, but lo and behold, my War Horse is not. If anyone could offer me assistance in this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you all.

I am having the same question here, I have the ultimate edition. And when I ride my thoroughbred, got into gunshot and dead. After I revived, the horse missing, back to camp and the first horse (tennesee) become my main. Gone to stable, and its gone, not even show up at store.

Same happened to us. Go to valentine stables select buy horses, go to Ardennes and buy again. It should be free. It didn't show up automatically I had to buy Like first time but now it is back. I have to do this every time my horse goes missing and can only get it from the stables in valentine but at least I still have it

Same here... In the stable and only four craptacular horses available. I bought the Ultimate Edition for a reason, and I don't have a war horse. Thank you Rockstar, you really pulled through

I bought the Ultimate Edition and got the fast Thuroughbred horse with it. I get it from the stable. I name it. I use it and bond with it. Then after a while if I die I will respawn with a different horse altogether and have to go to a stable to get my thoroughbred and bond with it all over again. 

Is this happening to anyone else? So frustrating because I lose all the bonding I did with it.

Now when I go to the stable the Pre-order Thuroughbread horse is no longer available. Wtf!?

Exact same thing brought me here. Used my DLC code for the War Horse. Finished the hunting mission so I could use the War Horse. Fed her. Bonded with her. Named her. Brushed her. All good.

Then I'm on foot next to a departing train and think "I wonder what happens if I hitch a ride without a ticket? Cool, it's a crime! And Morningstar (my beloved War Horse) is running alongside! Man, Rockstar really thought of everyth.....oh...she hit rocks and went under the train..and I'm being shot at..and now I'm dead...cool"

Anyway. I come back, whistle and get some brown nag. Huh. Ride the nag to the stable aaaaaand no more Morningstar. I have two Tennessee Ranchers and the brown heap of glue I rode in on.

I never had this much trouble with Dogmeat.

It seems not happening to all, my friends ride the same thoroughbred and he died multiple times while on horse or on foot, and the horse never gone missing. But mine seems gone completely with no trace of getting it back through any means.

Im in the same boat, war horse is gone and did not respawn at the stables  this is ridiculous as I paid for the ultimate edition on xbox one x. im afraid to take the dapled thoroughbred out that I paid for with the ultimate edition because of this . I dont like that something you pay for can just become lost forever....

This is EXACTLY what happened to me, but I tamed a mustang . I died while riding the mustang to the stable (warhorse was following) and now my warhorse is gone. im scared to ride my thoroughbred from the ultimate edition because of this which is ridiculous because I paid money for it. I also have yet to see any of the money and other perks other than the horse and saddle that were suppose to come with the ultimate edition and im on chapter 3 already....

Have you tried going back to the area where you died?  In my experience, my horse is usually where I left it, even if it's miles away from where I respawn.

Similar thing happens to a lot of folks on the first Bounty Hunter mission.  Without going into spoilers, you end up on the bounty's horse, and taking it back into town.  Even stabling it, your original horse will stay out in the wild back where you dismounted/died.

I've had to go back for my horse countless times when I've had it following me and I've been ambushed or riding while drunk (and fell off and died... yes it's happened more than once).  It happens, but the "main" horse has always been where I left it.

Well, after doing some missions. Back to valentine, turn off the game. And play again, go to the stables, suddenly Thoroughbred pop up to buy for free.

I guess this is a bug that needs to be fixed soon. As I don’t want my horse to be swapped with tennesse again

Ok, rode into town.  Bumped someone while on my horse.  Rode down the street and red dots appear all of the place and shoot my horse.  DEAD!  I escape but that horse isn't at the stable and it ain't at the camp.  So question is, "if they kill the horse you don't get a new one to start with?"  If so where I do I look for it.

I also got the Ultimate Edition, where do I find those extras at?

Not sure if in the appropriate place however I need some advice.

 

I pre-ordered the ultimate edition on the PS4 and got access to my bonus horse - the thoroughbread. unfortunately 9-10 bounty hunters caught me with my pants down, murdered my horse and then murdered me.. Now my question is can I get my thoroughbred back? I assume i'll have to do the bonding again which is fine i'll just do it but you do get a certain attachment to the horse so I want the thoroughbred back.. at the minute I feel like im riding a three-legged drunk donkey and that needs to change. 

How do I get it back if so?

Yeah your horse is dead. If you had some revive tonic, you could've revived him. Not sure if that's possible now. For a new horse go to the stables in valentine once you reach that point.

im pretty sure I went there and there was only 2 horses available for sale? Pretty strange.

That is strange. My thoroughbred died and I was stuck with some crappy horse for some time while valentine was on lock down. When I went back to the stable in valentine a few game hours later my thoroughbred was available...Maybe just wait a little while longer

Also I have troubles with getting my thoroughbred (special edition horse) back after it died during an attack of some dudes.
I went back to Valentine Stables but there is no thoroughbred between the horses ???

I hope this is a glitch and they gonna fix it very quick because I really wanna have my thoroughbred back.
More people with this problem ?
