Plot Ideas

So I was hashing these out on Reddit and another forum a few months back and some people came up with some wild stuff! I thought this would be a good thread on here seeing as this is by far the best RDR forum I have come across. You beat the pants of Reddit and the GTA subsection. 

Anyways... Anyone got any plot ideas bubbling?

I am thinking it will be a transition of the gang gaining power over their territory. Also we will maybe see how John and some of the others ended up in the gang. I would be down for them to do a progression story. Starting from one point and going through it acquiring new members to the gang.

The only issue I have with this is overlap. We might get a lot of BS filler which is something I am hoping they avoid.

What would be interesting is to see the story progress up into the point where John becomes the good guy. This means, if we are playing as the original gang, he would be considered the enemy. Something like that would be cool.

I would like to see the inner split of the gang really. Like where bonds and trust forum within the gang against other gang members. That has always happened with every gang and it makes for an interesting story.

This could work and actually be a cool concept if they do it right. I know what you mean. I see this kind of plot a lot in shows and movies. Heck one of my favorite shows had a bit of this in it (Breaking Bad).

Yea and like you have to figure there was some major issues and falling out because John and his wife both left the gang. So having that be a part of this story is something I am hoping to see.

When we first met Bill Williamson, he claimed John only seemed to save himself. This backs up the theory that John wasn't a loyal gang member.

Was going to make this point myself and a very valid one. I think if John is indeed in the game, we will see him looking out for himself and destroying or at least attempting to destroy the gang from within.

Oh yeah they can play that in very well. I was just going to say something but this sounds a lot better. Like they can play it right into when the gang gets betrayed by them two.

The plot should center around the growth and peak of the gang. I don't think we need it to include John. Maybe lead up to the point where he joins then end the game. This would leave room for another game in the future where we can see John and be John in full swing again.

I didn't even consider having it lead into John's story. That is another good point and would certainly guarantee we get another one with him but I am thinking the next one will go beyond the last one maybe into the future with Jack more.
