Yesterday, I had spent more then a few hours hunting.  Looking to upgrade weapons and horses and what not.  I hit just under a $100 when I had to quit.  So I exited the game and came back a few hours and started to hunt some more and when I went to sell my goods.  I was about half and realized I haven't bought anything .  I don't know if this is by design or some other issue.  Thing is I didn't take a photo so I had no proof to send Rockstar to prove one way or another.

Yeah, but thinking like that lost me dosh ... :)

Guess I lucked out. I chose to do the missions rather than grind out cash. I did a few before the game booted me at the end of one. Figured it was a sign I should get back to the story.

Story mode is where it's at.  Still on Chapter 2, with no interest in progressing at the moment.  Closing in on 50% completion--about to go cougar hunting for my Legend of the East satchel;  spent an hour last night doing laps around an island for perfect Iguana skins--did you know the Muskrats will attack a pelt if you don't get to it quickly?  I had it happen TWICE, where a 3-star degraded to a 1-star.  Arthur actually cursed them out for me, which was appreciated, but not at the expense of an additional 35 minutes of farming.

Got myself to chapter 6. I think I'm at 71% now. I think I'm at about 7 days spent playing... It's pretty much all Ive done on the weekends lol

I may get back to the challenges soon, but I wanted to get through more of the story before I got sucked into online play. I mostly need to work on hunting requests and exotics. Everything else is either done, or inaccessible right now.

I feel like now that I don't need to kill cougars for pelts or challenges, they attack me all the time... The satchel has proven to be very helpful though, you'll appreciate having it when you choose to continue on. Hell, I cooked/crafted a bunch of stuff way back in chapter 3 and I still haven't had to do so again. It's great for passive income too (not that you really need money). Go kill sh*t for a while and before you know it you have a few hundred in just meat.

I always skin things when I kill them. I've had too many animals rot because I got distracted.

I've progressed through a lot of the challenges, but that first "kill three enemies with throwing knives in 10 seconds" has stymied me, even with improved throwing knives.  I'm sure I can get it eventually, I just keep getting sidetracked by other things.

I either got that one with a KKK initiation or an O'driscoll camp. Between the auto aim and dead eye, it should be pretty easy if they're lined up.

I'm stuck on the gambler (hit 3 times in blackjack and win) and horseman (dry run to Blackwater from Van Horn) challenges.

Finally got that 80 yard tomahawk kill though! Got it on a guard near Braithwaite Manor. Missed the first throw, but (luckily) got him while he was running towards me. I only threw that second one out of frustration from missing the first throw entirely, so I was a little shocked that I hit him lol

I also haven't come across a good spot for killing 4 people with dynamite (other than during a mission that gives a good reward for NOT killing anyone). I know it will be easy, I just don't want to go out of my way to get it.

Hello, I remember doing this pretty easily. I just found a small bandit camp (I think it was at Tall Trees) and counted the red dots. They were 6 enemies, so I just killed 2 of them using my repeater and then lassoed the other 4 and carried them and grouped them together. Be quite fast about this, if you leave them too long hogtied, someone will break free. So run around, hogtie each one, stack them together and then throw them a dynamite stick.

About the hit 3 times, it is pretty much about luck, just keep playing and hit every hand, even if you start with a high value card. The dry run is pretty much easy, just use a couple of stamina stimulants along the way and follow the roads so you won't fall of your horse and ruin the try.

It sounds like you were simply doing a lot of free roam stuff and didn't hit a save area.

Is it possible stable upkeep and camp fees still get deducted even when offline?

Hopefully, it is not the case, Otherwise, it would be unfair to those that play the game for one day of the week.
