Do you find the extra damage worth the trade off vs using a bolt action? IMHO, yes especially if you use more powerful ammo like express and are using damage buff ability cards and/or headshot protection like slow and steady.

Its not the fastest gun for head shots and its the worst gun for body shots. BUT it's the cheapest gun AND holds 14 rounds. Good starter gun, but I agree that there are better options.

For pvp, I rarely use a rifle unless they are unreachable with the Lancaster. Lancaster is the best gun in the game. IMO. The Litchfield looks better on paper but the stats don't translate to gameplay. If you haven't tried the Lancaster then id highly recommend. Good to know. My next purchase was gonna be a Litchfield actually. So you think the Lancaster is the better investment?

Well I created a new topic separate from this varmint rifle discussion, more along the lines of what people do prefer to use. Interested to see everyone's opinion.

You can test the guns in single player.. (well if you progressed far enough to own every weapon). Which is probably the best way feel out the weapons you like. But as far as Litch VS Lancaster goes.. Its basically comes down to speed vs power.
G IR U IB Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I got the one but rarely use it. Someone at work said its the best cause of low recoil. I mainly use bolt action rifle or schofield pistol. But I don't do pvp events or really shoot people unless they kill me me first.

So you think the Lancaster is the better investment? Definitely go with the Lancaster if your not into "personal preference" and you simply want the best repeater hands down. Damage means almost nothing when a headshot puts someone down in one shot...(not everyone I know) but consider the fact that it fires quicker, and I promise you its much more accurate. You almost have to go for body shots with the Litch. Which sucks because I love the look of the Litch much more (don't mind the Lancaster look at all either though). Basically, you should be using dead for almost every shot you take but eventually you run out....the Litchfield will not serve you well all in those cases. One time I accidently switched guns by accident and couldn't figure out why my repeater all of sudden quit working properly. I went to clean it and realized it was the wrong gun. Bottom line. Hope this helps
