Started online. Whistled my horse... Bang I'm headshoted and dead.

Don't think I was on 30 seconds. Thought ere we go.

So started again and went and done a stranger mission. I had to kill a wolf and take its body as proof of kill.

I eventually found it. It killed me a couple of times. My shooting was off probably because I been playing gow4 all weekend and my brain was still wired to that.

A out half way through and person came up and killed the wolf. I was just stood there thinking what now, when they waved and rode off. It was like a cartoon super hero moment. They turned up done the kill and was gone. I didn't even get there gt to say thank you. Took it back got the xp and money.

Then off I went to find another.

Went to a little shack to hamish next to a pond.

There was loads of fish in there so I decided to chill and do some fishing on the end of the di*k thing.

After about 5 minutes I heard footsteps but didn't think nothing of it until I saw another fishing line go out in the water. I looked round and there's some random stood finishing next to me.

After a few more minutes I get a message. We spent the next 15 minutes fishing and sending messages back and forth about the football (soccer) team we both follow.

Once I got my 10 perch I went to see hamish and do the mission.

It was rescue a hostage. So off I trotted. Got the hostage. But the random followed me and helped kill the bandits on the way back to return the hostage.

I'm really surprised after all the problems I get with griefers that I found 2 nice players in one game. Even made a new friend aswel lol.

Just thought it made a change after the usual being killed by random.

Sorry for such a long probably boring post but wanted to share.

I love to hear these kinds of stories, because not every blip on the map is a griefer. Most of us avoid them because you just really never know, and you really can't really trust anybody. Hopefully more people will share stories like this. I have on occasion run in to very friendly players  who will give you a hand, or simply wave to show they are friendly.

I met a dude on a server a few weeks back. We were both just chatting about politics and work while hunting in the same area. Was a fun time. Ended up adding him to my friend list and haven't played with him since. lol He only is online when I am at work, very unfortunate.

I do tend to try wave to people to show I'm friendly.

I would even help people out like they did me but like you say you never know what there gonna do

Exactly, and sometimes it backfires... I've had a guy wave at me, and when I wave back, he pulls out a sawed-off or something and shoots me. Of course, that goes back to 99% of most of the Griefers are cowards and chickens. Degree few and leave the session. Hopefully after the update next week we won't have quite as much!

;)

It is hard to change other player attitude. But we can always stay positive & keep the good attitude towards other.

Once you turn to darkside,  it is hard to see the light again. Saw my friend slowly become griefers. & now addicted to kill anyone. Even try to kill me   😔

Yesterday I got screwed for being nice and not immediately shooting people who get too close to me while I'm on a mission. Unfortunately boat missions really screw people solo cuz you can only use a pistol/revolver. He acted like he was sitting at the campfire crafting and I left him. Soon as I got in the boat he got up and sniped me and I couldn't get back in time to save the boat. He was a terrible shot, killed him twice but the third time I couldn't get out of the boat fast enough to blow him up again. Was so embarrassing...

Decided not to be too hasty to judge the other evening when in St Denis, ducked into saloon rather than tear out of town when I saw a few people about, decided to have a drink, guy comes in,im ready to be shot, but no he gets a drink,I finish drink, wave walk to door the next thing hes come up behind me with a knife and I'm dead slashed across the throat....all I can think is what really was the point of that!no skill needed,no fun!I'd have been happy to trade a few punches etc but that was just kind of low!!!

its for the kill people while drunk challenge.  they act peaceful, get drunk, then kill you. one more step towards a gold belt buckle.

I was doing a canoe mission tonight. I literally had bullets coming from every direction.

One person climbed in and pushed me out. I shot them and got back in. Next thing I was being shot at with explosive arrows. Talk about over kill.

Someone close even messaged to say they were watching but never attacked, but couldn't see what they were seeing.

that the type of environment my crew and I aim for, we help random people on our journey, just approach them and hang out a bit, help them hunt, escort them on their missions, etc..

we have a strict no griefing policy, where random people shouldn't be harassed or killed until they provoke an attack.

These type of scenarios/encounters encourage people to stay, enjoy and play the game which is what we need if we want Rockstar to actually make this game into an amazing experience.
