tadp0le
I honestly never watched it. I got roped into going to my friends tomorrow for Wrestle Mania. I guess this is the big event of the year? If anyone here knows anything about it, is there something to this that I should know to make it more enjoyable? I literally know none of the people he mentioned. I feel like I am going to end up bored out of my mind for 4 hours.
Parzival
I used to be. Stopped watching around 2016 since the majority of the current roster bores me to death. I still play the games for the (ever dwindling) legends roster, but not totally sure how long that will last, though. The last round of cuts, some of which were totally nonsensical, really POed me. Speaking of WWE... https://torontosun.com/sports/wrestling/hart-attack-the-hitman-tackled-by-fan-during-wwe-induction-ceremony

I watched in the late 90's and early 2000's so I was a Bret fan. OUCH! Well that dude got the crap beat out of him. As for the OP... I am not sure what to tell you. I have not watched in like 15 years. I couldn't even tell you what is going on. Just don't take it seriously and have a laugh.

Yeah, first Travis Browne (an MMA fighter, Ronda Rousey's boyfriend) got him, then Davey Boy Jr got him some, and on the way out Dash Wilder was knocking him around. Punk got what was coming to him. Just imagine if he'd done that back in the day with the Anvil, Bulldog, Owen, and Pillman around. That would have been some painful retribution. I disagree with a lot of the comments Bret has made regarding fellow wrestlers (I'm speculating this is why the so-called "fan" attacked him, but haven't seen any confirmation) over the past few years, but the amount of respect I have for The Best There Is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be will always overshadow any such differences of opinion I have with him. Hell, the Hart family is wrestling royalty and most of us peons probably aren't fit to even look at them. XD
Kormath
I watched it every Monday night, every Friday night, and then Thursdays up until about 2015 or 2016. Undertaker has always been my favorite, followed by The Edge. Undertaker's older entro sent chills down my arms, blackness then the gong, and the monks chanting and walking in. Loved it. Then there was The Rock, didn't care too much for Dwayne but he was fun to watch, specially when he kept kicking Cena's ass. Goldberg was another favorite "You're Next!!" Can't stand the olympian, can't even think of his name now. Cena was good, but got boring after a couple years. Big Show was fun to watch until he went to the knockout punch, then that got lame. The women were fun to watch, but then not so much. @Parzival summed it up very well, it got boring. NFL is starting to get that way now with all their drama and the media uplaying it. Parzival
The Rock was originally my favorite when I first started watching, but all it took was one sentence from the Undertaker on September 18th, 2000 and he was my new favorite from then on. lol
liquidfire
I watched on and off since 2003 I think. I just did watch Wrestlemania and it was more enjoyable than I had thought it would be. The last few years I mainly just watch mania, the royal rumble, and summer slam. I will tune in now and then to the weekly shows but I am too busy to invest that amount of time each week. What did you think of it, assuming you watched?
HuDawg
Im still a wrestling fan. But the current WWE product is too predictable, over produced and boring. And I don't watch it much anymore. Hopefully AEW lights a fire under WWE"s asses.

Gotta keep all those sponsors happy. They need to let the guys/girls have more input on their characters. Nothing is organic anymore. I find myself watching NXT more than anything. Ya.. that's why NXT is fun to watch. Its is more organic and has less writers and Vince hovering over them at all times. Then the NXT guys get called up to main shows and get buried or over exposed/over produced and heavily scripted.. and put into story lines that go no where. IMO wrestling is at its best when it taps in the current culture issues and cultural stereo types.. and let wrestlers be more creative. Instead, nowadays they are playing too safe with the main Shows and catering to much to sponsors while keeping them boxed in creatively..

TNA (or whatever it's called now, haven't watched it in years) made the mistake of following and replicating everything that WWE did and instead of becoming competition, they simply became WWE Lite. Wrestling fans wanted an alternative, not more of the same thing. And their on-air attempts at calling WWE out were just laughable, like a teacup chihuahua trying to stare down a rottweiler. It also didn't help that they kept moving to more and more obscure networks following the end of their deal with Spike TV. Just about the only innovative thing they came up with was the X-Division. bluntTR4P
I watched it from like the early to mid 2000s more a less as something to do with my cousin. He had very bad anxiety and is about 5 years younger than me. I would often go to my aunt's after school on Monday's to sit with him since she worked till midnight. I have not followed it in a long time.
