FLIP
So me and a few friends are thinking of starting up a gaming channel. We will basically do videos together and sometimes separately but it will all be on one channel. I won't do any solo videos myself, I would be too awkward for that! Does anyone here have experience with uploading gaming videos that can possibly give us some tips?
YellowDragon
What are you planning on recording with and editing with? Just curious. The only tip I got is to pick a simple branding for your guy's channel. Something easy to remember with a logo people will recognize.
RON
If you guys are doing it for fun, then just jump into it. If you intend on getting popular or making money, I would say don't bother. So many people start up channels and quit after only having maybe 100 subs for 2 years.
tadp0le
Just have fun man. I wouldn't worry too much about anything else until you see a fanbase growing. People make the mistake of draining all their efforts in before they even started.

Use OBS and stock videos and what not to make it. There are all kinds of sites that give royalty free music and videos just don't spend too much time on this, it isn't that important. Gh0stRyder
If you want to make it look nice, by all means invest your time. Don't consider quality video and all the bells and whistles to get you views. Just have fun and enjoy yourself. People who get noticed on there are people who have a good time and just showcase it. Purple Cactus
A friend of mine started a channel just for fun a few years ago and ended up getting a little over 100,000 subs. He didn't have time to keep investing into it so he just let it go. If you plan on doing this for fun or not, you have to make sure you have the time to invest cause it takes a lot of time to edit videos and upload them. Especially if you want to do it weekly. I would get a bunch of videos done and ready to upload before you even start the channel so you have a good few months worth of content.
DarkShark
Just wing it. All the best channels started out not knowing what the heck they were doing. You can look back at older videos from popular YouTubers.
