CMcC
is this Arthur with a beard? Will Rockstar be giving us customization options like we saw in GTA V ? I assumed we'd be able to change clothes and hats but hadn't considered anything else. How far do you think they'll take it? Hair, scars, boots, holsters, saddles? I guess there's only so much you can do in 1899.
GatoNegro
Good eye. I didn't even notice that but it sure does look like him. It could be part of the story, maybe it had progressed several months or maybe they will allow us to customize him.
Looney Dan
I don't mind some customizing options but I am not one to care too much over it for offline stuff. Changing his hair and beard is more than enough. We will likely be able to change his clothing like in the first one. Some will have a purpose as well I am sure just like the poker suit John wore.

Maybe he had to go into hiding for some reason and ya know, couldn't shave. I am not bothered either way. I don't need the customization in the game to enjoy it but I am sure they will have some. Not sure if they will allow us to got into detail with adding scars and such though.
CMcC
I don't need it to be so. Like i said, I hadn't given it any thought until i saw this screenshot. But my guess is that we'll be able to customize him at will. I'm sure there'll be barber shops in town and in GTA we could customize Michael, Trevor and Franklin whenever we liked. Just a bit of fun, but not necessary.
VICKSUN
I'm sure it will be like GTA but more for the times so maybe going into a "leatherworking" shop, you can buy different vests, boots, etc. They could even make it where you skin enough rattlesnakes and take them in to get a pair of boots made for you. Things like that.
DiamondDave
I think this is just part of the story, nothing to do with customization options. I don't think they would show that in the trailer or screenshots since it has nothing to do really with the main story.
Archbell
A lot of information has come out in the recent previews, GTA Series Videos has done a video breaking down all the various previews and it's definitely an interesting watch. The latest info on customization says that you'll be able to sport different facial hair but you'll have to grow it out first and choose what parts of your face you want shaved instead of just having a beard or moustache appear outta no where.

BelleStarr
Yes, IGN has said that you will be able to grow your hair and facial hair and get it cut/sculpted to your liking. You cannot go to a barber and request a beard or long hair though like in GTAV, you must wait for it to grow.

shawn
Given what I read and what was mentioned above, I am mind blown by how freaking detailed they made this one. It is like Red Dead Redemption meets the Sims 5.
