Finally Bought The Breton!

I finally got the Bounty Hunter Level 20 Breton with steel grey coat!. From 7:30pm Saturday until 3:30am Sunday, I spent grinding on the Xbox One for the extra XP this weekend and I finally got it!. I named him Gunther. It is a German name that traces it's origins to the meaning battle, warrior, or battle warrior.

I don't know why but I was offered a Breton as a free mount a few days back & spent the day walking her round Blackwater & the plains there - she's a beauty & I named her Blue & put a matching blue nagadoches on her with the blue bedding roll, just today I took advantage of the 40% off a Turkoman/MFT or Mustang but went with the Turkoman, named her El Nino as she will be for my "bandit".

 

I love the horses in RDRO, they really have done a fine job on them, but I think with the addition of El Nino I am now maxxed on horses so I'm hoping that if they add more then they add more stable slots!

It's legs look a little short in that picture or is that just the way they are?

They are a bit stumpy & overall they are a muscular horse, but IIRC its speed is 8 so it works out as being my 3rd fastest

I hope so as well. I want to own 1, level 20 horse from each role. I'm 3 ranks from unlocking the White Arabian that I want to buy. 10 stable slots is not going to be enough for me. I hope Rockstar add's properties that we can own in game with stables on property. I would love to own a ranch in the desert!.

I think like Sigill MacFinn mentioned, it is due to the muscles.

it is the picture, i have owned one since february, it is in the top 3 of the physicly biggest horses currently in the game.

gets max hp bar when at lv4 bonding too.  only downside is it dont like long distance riding, it starts to breathe loudly after a short run.

OK so with apologies to any Mexican or Spanish RDROists I have had to change the name of my latest ride as apparently El Nino means The Boy which doesn't suit a mare heh heh 

She now has the name Perazzo which I believe translates to Big Dog

I got the free Breton this week, too, and have the black and white mane with it, bonded to level 2 and really enjoying her.  Called her 'Festive Freebie', which probably needs changing.

I've had the mid tier Breton for a while, fletcher saddle, best stirrups, and it's good enough to get across the map without losing stamina, so it's good enough for me. I never even have to go that far anyway, so I figure i'll just save the money and keep this one. His name is Megachad.

When I turned 18 my parents got me a miniature paint horse. I named him Gunther as well! 

He stayed at my sister's acreage down the road where she boarded him since I'm physically disabled. He was more just a novelty pet than anything lol. A year later my nephew was born so I gave Gunther to him as his first horse haha.

As for my Breton in game, I have the Grullo Dun Breton, and I named her "Ripley" (from "Aliens"  )

I wanted to try a horse I couldn't ride in Story Mode, where after multiple playthroughs & trying out every horse available I've settled on the Silver Dapple Pinto MFT (from the 3rd Albert Mason mission). Thanks to Bounty Hunter month (May), I stacked paper & gold like crazy, & levelled up fast. I got my steel gray Breton this past weekend & named her Valkyrie (no, NOT because of the MCU character). Fully bonded & wearing the Upland Saddle, she's a beast. She threw me once when a cougar surprised us & I didn't calm her, but otherwise she's been rock solid. I bought into the Collector role & we spent the last 2 nights travelling all over the map collecting for Madam Nazar. Great horse.
