  1. Glad to have you Fribbo and don't worry, we're not all PS peasants. My GT is Truth Ride. Disclaimer: I'm joking, I greatly appreciate both consoles as neither would have such a competitive drive without the other and I'm not trying to start a flame war. In all honesty, the joke is gonna be on Xbox when PS get the Online DLC first.

  2. I agree but you have to admit that the stigma surrounding gaming as an adult is nowhere near where it was in the 80's and 90's. It's accepted way more now than it ever was. Many adults used to be embarrassed to even buy games back in those days. ......"yeah, it's for my son".

  3. Well. I think that people in general still believe that videogames are just an entertainment for little kids (my co-workers think that), and they do not understand that it is a true and valid (and entertaining) mean for telling a story, in the same way a movie, book or tv show. People in general do not see videogames as a platform to tell an interesting and mature story. Therefore will never pick up a joystick. In my case, i love to make myself a mate (google it, it's an argentinian drink) sit back and sink in a great story, either way on a tv show, movie, book or videogame.

  5. Couldn't agree more, the game would feel a lot of more restricted from variety without customization.

  6. . . . who is, in my opinion, the ONLY reputable source for credible horse pricing.

  7. True. I plan on being an incorrigible jackass when I play this online.

  8. Isn't that XBox Live? Dude, I'm on PS4. How dare you, sir?! Wasn't he played by Demon . . . ??

  9. Love you too, Bropollo. Here's how the magic's done:

  10. You never know. There may be a way to progress through the story while playing online. It certainly works for other games/titles. Then again, R* has usually kept GTA in similar game play constructs ever since GTA III, so it stands to reason that the storyline mode for RDR2 will closely mimic the structure of RDR.

  11. Customization is a big part of online play for me personally. I look at a game like The Division, which had a handful of preset faces and hair styles to choose from, but a preposterous amount of cosmetic clothing options (95% of which were lore-appropriate), and think "that's the way to go on RDR2". Minimal customization for the face and features, focus on the clothing for diversity of character. Sure, R* could have a more robust customization suite, but I think that a feature like that is a time sink when most people just want to get in the game and play. I've spent entire days customizing a character in other games (if not longer). Removing the illusion of choice is a better option, imho, but I certainly understand why others may disagree.

  12. Then they'll have to release a Killer Queen pack. I hear she's dynamite with a laser beam. Edit: @Cokeyskunk, the only issue with editing a post is that I'm unable to quote new material when editing a post. Of course, I could just be a dullard who doesn't know how to do it properly... No, it's the software that is to blame!

  13. @Ibarrola great points! I have been gaming since the Intellivision/Atari era, (I still have a functioning Intelliivision), and I still get people calling me 'weird' and 'creepy' because I play online games. I try and explain to these people that it's not all 13 and 14 yr olds playing these games, and that I can NOT control how old people are in the game session. Even had people go as far as to say 'grow up' when I tell them. My wife was never a gamer at all, and although she won't pick up a controller, she loves to sit and watch me play games like Silent Hill, Resident Evil and what not. She helps me figure out puzzles and gets really into it. I recently played RDR story line once again, this time with her watching every cut scene, etc., and she loved the story line. She even said "Whoa, it's like you're actually in a movie in a way". She wanted to know what happened next all the time. Now she's stoked to watch me play RDR2. The point is, once someone actually is exposed to a descent game like RDR or Resident Evil 7, there's a good chance they'll become more involved and interested. I will always be a gamer no matter hold I am, or how old my consoles are!

  14. Great. Thanks, Bropollo. Now I'll be singing the theme song to One Day At A Time all morning, but subbing out "Day" for "Game." Come to think of it, thinking all morning of the wacky antics of Pat Harrington Jr. as "Schneider" isn't quite so bad . . .

  15. Well, in the story trailer, Arthur tells somebody that the law chased them from the west and from the mountains...so i really hope that the western areas that Arthur is talking about is New Austin...perhaps we get to see Tumbleweed before being a ghost town...

  16. I am passing on it. I have been burned out on Battlefield and Call of Duty. They all seem to be the same games every year at the core with nothing worth making me spend the money to get a new one.

  17. Oh man! I can't wait for those flying horses, and the laser beam gun online expansions to be released...

  18. They should have two types of sessions. One that is balls to the wall, zombies, pegasus', aliens and an assortment of ridiculous sh*t. And one that is grounded and realistic. You'll find me in the latter.

  19. I myself am more concerned about whether Red Dead Online will live up to Red Dead Redemption's Multiplayer or not, GTA Online has some really engaging features like owning property and extended character customization but overall I found GTA Online to be a stunningly beautiful but broken game. There's a serious lack of skill based PVP in GTA Online, it's non existent in Freeroam. It doesn't even feel like Grand Theft Auto anymore, everyone has the armaments of a small country so it's more like a third person Battlefield game these days which means new players don't even have a chance. I think there are some great features they could bring over from GTA Online but I'd much prefer they made balancing in Red Dead Online their first priority and therefore leave out GTA Online's God Mode and abysmal PVP combat.

  20. This is something I like a lot. I don't want to be seen at all times. This will be the old west. I like the idea that you can accidentally stumble on other players and gangs.
