Hi I am new to forum and I would like to say thanks for info on game from you folks. I have one basic rule to gaming. You must have fun. I quit playing online in rdr2 because every time I play I end quiting within 15 minutes frustrated and angry at other people I don’t even know. That’s in violation of basic rule. I quit playing online around the time kids got out for Xmas break, go figure, and will not play online again until r* makes a place for us content players. Sadly it looks like around March now if at all. Too bad could be a good game.2 points

You were right @Truth I found one near Wallace station, cover scent, crouch, 2 poison knives in the butt and he ran away. I had to chase him down till he died from the poison.1 point

No it is not only a tv issue. Look at the foliage of bigger trees. You see a doubling effect on the foliage and some pixels of thefoliage are out of place. You can see the same on hair and clothes. Strange is for me, the effect is much stronger again since the new online update that comes out for two days. The heavy motion blur is back, with the update. De juttering can´t fix the problem. The only solution is again the 1080p mode. I would play with a lower level of detail pof grass distance, but I need a crisp image. For all of you where the tv receives no update in upscaling, it must now looking more worst than before. Isn´t it? This is a shame. Is it now 860p in higher resolution mode. I don´t know, but it looks like that now. Edit: All my other games looking crisp1 point

To get yourself and your horse shot just while fishing doesn't seem like fun to me. It can't be that hard to use one server for the hard core griefers and one for those who just want to have some fun, hunt, fish and fight against some AI cowboys with some friends. Like others, I play these games for fun and to relax and RDR2 online doesn't allow this. They sold the game on the free roam aspect, the hunting, fishing etc and must have known that a lot of players were going online just to cause grief and spoil others fun. Now all they've offered as an upgrade is a poor version of PUBG. (which I also suck at )1 point

Was there a leaked about the March timeframe? AFAIK there hasn't been any hard dates sets for upcoming updates yet and no mention so far of invite-only sessions (sadly). Only "coming soon" features/changes and "more to come this year" with some specific and not so specific mentions. I have the same rule to gaming. .....if it ain't fun, it ain't worth playing. We all have enough drama and angst in life. I play games to relax.1 point

You are a million times correct. I posted in another griefer post wondering to myself what RDR2 Online is supposed to be. I guess I never heard exactly what to expect from online, but it would be nice to know exactly what its supposed to be. Is it a free roam area where you complete missions solo or in a posse? It would seem shooting other players you see is a bad thing. So, is there not PvP in Online at all? I was in online for a few mins after I beat the campaign but haven't been in since. Now I'm wondering if I should just wait.1 point

Why not back out of the lobby and select free roam for the area that you were previously in? I hate that you can't purchase special ammo like Express or high velocity bullets in the show down series or story mission screens. You can only buy regular ammo.1 point

Red Dead Online features several different competitive multiplayer modes all included in the Showdown Series. The playlist has been recently updated with a brand new mode called Gun Rush, which is, basically, another take on the battle royale genre already explored in the Make it Count mode. In this guide, we will take a good look at the Gun Rush mode and the available maps, as well as provide some tips that will help you become the very best in it. Mode Overview Gun Rush is a battle royale mode that plays very similarly to the Make it Count mode. Up to 32 players are dropped in one of the three available maps - Tall Trees, Rhodes, and Fort Mercer - with no weapons and items, which must all be procured on the map. Like in any other battle royale mode, the playable zone will shrink as the match proceeds, and players caught outside of the zone are eliminated. The last player standing wins the match. Despite a few similarities, the Gun Rush and Make It Count modes have some very distinct mechanics. While the latter only provides players with a limited selection of weapons, the Gun Rush mode features all of the Red Dead Online weapons, as well as horses, which actually make a big difference, as mobility is extremely important in all of the three maps. Additionally, players are indeed dropped randomly on the map in the Gun Rush mode, but only at the edges, which makes it slightly easier to come up with a consistent strategy. Another major addition only found in Gun Rush mode is armor, which prevents players from getting damaged when attacked from the front. As you will find yourself confronting another player head-on, having armor is extremely important in securing a victory. Tips As already mentioned, players are dropped randomly on the map at the beginning of a Gun Rush match, but only on the edges. While there are a few melee weapons located near the edges of the map, we suggest you ignore them to head straight into the middle of the map, where better weapons and items are usually located. You don't even have to worry too much about an enemy killing you if you do so at the very beginning of the match, as the other players are either unarmed as you are or only have melee weapons, which have terrible range and are not a threat at all. If you really want to grab a melee weapon at the beginning of the match, we suggest you avoid heading into the middle shortly after, as other players may have obtained firearms and may be waiting for any other player to show up to ambush them. Being a battle royale mode, knowing where items, weapons, horses and other players are is extremely important. In Gun Rush, the mini-map always shows their exact locations, so make sure to make use of this to plan your strategy and avoid getting into fights if you haven't acquired a reliable fire arm. Going for horses first is a very good strategy, as mobility is extremely important in all Gun Rush maps, and moving quickly will allow you to reach the best vantage points before anyone else does. Speaking about vantage points, the three maps are quite different in their layouts, but the general points remain the same: buildings, rooftops and any other location with high altitude that allows you to keep track of a vast portion of the map. This, combined with any scoped rifle, will allow you to kill opponents from afar with ease. Among the Gun Rush items, the armor is among the most important, as it will help you survive a direct confrontation with an opponent. It can only be found in chests, so make sure to open all those you find during a match to gain a sound advantage over the opponents. Maps Tips Fort Mercer The Fort Mercer map includes the fort itself as well as its surrounding areas. Due to the nature of the map, it makes no sense to stay outside the fort, as you will be easy picking, with no good cover. Once inside the fort, pick the weapons found in the middle of it, and try to get on the second floor as quickly as possible. Not only you will have a better view of your surroundings, but you will also find plenty of cover, which is not available on the much more open ground floor. Whatever you do in this map, avoid staying on the ground floor for too long, as other players have likely already positioned themselves on the second. It's also very easy to get cornered and get killed on the ground floor, due to the lack of cover. Rhodes The Rhodes map is definitely interesting, as it lacks any huge open space, with the exception of the grounds leading to the saloon. For this reason, heading into this building as soon as possible is the best thing you can do once a match starts, since you will be getting into the best vantage point of the entire map. Additionally, players make a lot of noise when walking on wood, so you will be warned of their approach beforehand by the sound they make, so you will have plenty of time to react accordingly. In case the saloon has already been claimed by other players, Rhodes provides plenty of other good vantage points. Any rooftop or balcony will do. If the match has been going on for some time, and you're in need of moving around the map, never do so at the center of the roads. Always stick close to buildings to avoid getting spotted, and sniped, by opponents on the rooftops. Tall Trees Tall Trees is very different from the Fort Mercer and Rhodes map, due to its layout lacking a real central zone. For this reason, it's very unusual to get into a short-range confrontation with opponents, so weapons with very good range, like rifles, are dominant in this map, even more so considering the map offers a lot of good cover spots like rocks, which make it pointless to run out in the open to engage enemies at mid and short ranges. The only reason you have for moving in the open is to reach the various camps found on the map. They usually include chests with armor, so it's a risk worth taking. Just avoid moving on horseback as much as possible: due to the map's layout, a player on horseback is an extremely easy target to kill. Kinda like the surprise I got when I found out some of the PvP events used some of my own ammo / resources. Since I suck at PvP, it really wasn't worth the cost to participate. lol1 point

Have we all been wrong on the graphics problems of Rdr2 and are they caused by the tv or is it the game? I personally don't believe it is only a tv that will be better with an update. When Rockstar hears this they won't do anything about the graphics ever again. 🤔1 point

I do not understand what people who are not seeing problems with the blur of the game are doing here. If it seems that the answers to these people are ignorant, I think it is even more ignorant to go to the thread about something that does not exist for them only to troll, or try to become superior about another person. Usually those who do this are children or someone with some problem in real life. You do not have to be patient even for people who come into the thread just to tumultualize1 point

The petition took a long time to happen. If the petition would change someting or not, still it was much better than sitting and saying "this generation bla bla bla". I believe that the majority here are adults, and especially in this discussion, adults and from different countries. If the discussion is silly, or has no relevance to you, keep to yourself, otherwise it seems that you just came here to troll and say that you know more than other people.1 point
