INTRODUCING FREE ROAM MISSIONS FROM BLACK BELLE, SADIE & JAKE ADLERPLUS NEW SKIRT, BOOTS AND VEST, PS4 EARLY ACCESS CONTENT AND MORE Last week, we added the first of many new Free Roam Missions, with new mission types and some new characters to meet along the way. This week, two fan favorites from the Red Dead Redemption 2 story join the cast of characters in the market for a helping hand in the world of Red Dead Online. Ride out to the Adler Ranch in Ambarino or search out the infamous gunslinger Black Belle in Lemoyne for new Free Roam Missions to play in Red Dead Online for both PS4 and Xbox One. This week's updates also include new Early Access content for players on PlayStation 4 including the devastating Ancient Tomahawk along with a new Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk Showdown Mode. There's also Last Stand, a bloody free-for-all Showdown Mode with no way out, no second chances and one winner. PlayStation 4 players will also get early access to the new Perlino Andalusian Horse and new horse equipment, clothing and emotes. For more details, visit the PlayStation Blog. The Clothing section of the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue has new options on offer, including the Wescott Skirt, Valdez Vest, Citadel Boots, and limited stock of the Plaid Cap. In addition to 25% RDO$ and Gold increased payouts for all A Land of Opportunities Missions, Free Roam Missions, Showdown Modes, Races and Free Roam Events – playing in a Posse this week at any point will earn you 5 bonus Gold Bars. There are a number of benefits to playing in a Posse beyond this week’s 5 bonus Gold Bars, including bonus RDO$ and XP when playing together, and the ability to bring an entire Posse into Free Roam Events, Competitive Challenges, or Showdown Series. We continue to work behind the scenes to address overall game stability and performance with recent fixes including closing some duplication exploits, resolving issues related to reduced numbers of animals in sessions, updating Defensive mode to revert Playing Style to Offensive and apply a Hostility penalty when stealing cargo from another player’s horse and more.8 points

Don't like any of the death match games. They are designed to appeal to the Fortnite crowd and I despise Fortnite.3 points

I would caution the DMZ for your PS4 if you don't only allow specific IP and port from the outside in. If you follow some of the forums and R* recommendations there opens a whole lot of potential for a hack into your PS4 directly. NAT is designed for a reason. I have been a network engineer for over 25 years and would never follow that recommendation. Be careful and good luck.3 points

And we have another spammer. Reported, of course. And mentioned here, by me. I deserve to pat myself on the back every once in a while.😋2 points

Yet the person in charge thinks everyone needs to play in one public lobby type.. Sort of like opening a bar and having 3 bands playing 3 different types of music at the same time on the same stage. And then the owner of the bar keeps telling the sound guy to balance it out so everyone can hear what ever bad the want clearly. The Sound guy tries his best.. But it won't matter. Because the only thing that will work are WALLS and separate stages.2 points

It's been a week since the major Red Dead Online update which ended the beta phase was released. While that update added a wealth of new content, it came with a few quirks of its own - though the dead horse glitch has been fixed since. Today's update expands on the groundwork laid last week, bringing new free roam missions from characters you'll recognize, among other things. The main addition in this update is the pair of new free roam mission initiators in Red Dead Online. Both characters that players have encountered in Red Dead Redemption 2, while playing as Arthur Morgan, they provide the multiplayer mode with more narrative content. Black Belle, a legendary gunslinger resides Lemoyne, while Sadie & Jake Adler live in their Ranch in Ambarino. Both are ready to provide Red Dead Online characters with new tasks. Continuing the timed exclusive content that occasionally appears on PlayStation 4 30 days prior to Xbox One, two new items and a pair of showdown modes are available today. The Ancient Tomahawk is a traditional Native weapon, and stars in one of the new modes, Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk Mode. The other new game mode is Last Stand, which is a typical no respawn FFA deathmatch. Finally, PS4 players can purchase the Perlino Andalusian Horse. The game has received an infusion of new clothing items, three of which are permanent additions. These are the Wescott Skirt, Valdez Vest and Citadel Boots, while the Plaid Cap is a limited issue item that will soon disappear from the in-game store. Rockstar is also keen on motivating players to take a dive into the new content available in Red Dead Online. All missions and activities pay out 25% more gold and RDO$ this week, and all players who join a posse for any period of time during this week will be eligible for a free bonus of five Gold Bars. Also included are fixes to some of the bugs that were introduced in the previous update. We mentioned the dead horse bug above, but issues related to item duplication exploits and Player Status features have also been resolved. We've yet to hear about a fix for the crashing issue though. The post New Free Roam Missions Added To Red Dead Online appeared first on RDR2.org. Read the full story1 point

Yes, I'd report the people using this exploit. I saw a video on it earlier today and it makes me a bit cranky lol1 point

Well, I tried the tomahawk game, not my cup of tea... I need to ‘git gud’. But the other death match is hands down my favourite so far. Last man standing with shrinking map, you get your own weapons, multiple elimination rounds with the first too two wins taking it. Even if you suck (like me) it’s pretty painless. I even managed a few wins in some of the tight maps like the cemetery and the mines (dual LeMat Shines here).1 point

State Farm commercial was the first that came to mind, but they don't have a meme for it1 point

Thanks for the heads-up buddy! I knew there would be some kind of risk by doing it, but if i turn it off, it will throw me off.. I have been trying to solve it by almost everything.. Diddent work until i did the dmz thing.. I dont think its R* ´s focus.. unfortunatly.1 point

You've been pretty unlucky I'd say although my numbers still aren't great. I've done 197 hideouts and have picked up about 20 treasure maps I think (if I'm correctly discounting the number received from ranking up). Probably about a third of the hideouts I've done have been co-op so maps may have been picked up by another player. I've had times where I've picked up several within a week but I'm currently on a streak of not having found one for ages. Looting every body you can seems to be the only real tip but then I've had hideouts where I've cocked up and died and had most of the bodies despawn and still picked up a map off the last body I looted. So its all luck I think but to give yourself the absolute best chance (which still seems to be tiny), clear the hideouts solo and take the time to loot all the bodies available. Conventional wisdom was to not kill the leader until you loot all the bodies so they don't despawn but I'm not sure that's an issue since the update last week.1 point

I think he needs to be the posse leader for him to see his current missions. Once he joins your posse, he only sees what you have available. Have him create a Temporary Posse and invite you.1 point

I have returned to RDO because of the changes made with last weeks update. Have not been online since right before Xmas. Had to refresh my memory on how the basics worked, have not even played offline in a few months. Looks promising so far, been to town and moseyed around. Sold some stuff at the butcher and the fence without incident. One red player knocked me down, but I just ignored them and went about my business. A story mission and ride to Blackwater are the next things I will check out.1 point

Yeah, couldn't miss that eh? 😄 What prompted me to post this reminder about the report feature was Kormath's post about a spammer today who submitted a reply two days ago and then came back and added links via an edit. I saw Kormath's reply, what occurred and then took care of it. ...thanks @Kormath.1 point

@Truth was a good one. Helped me quite a bit at first, along with @BropolloCreed79. I Joined here about week after the game was released, looking up something for it, can't even remember what now. Best forums are like this, mostly troll free and a great place to chat and find info, share experiences, etc. Pretty rare in these online days to see this. Thanks to all the mods and members that have kept it this way.1 point

Ever since this update and removal of Beta I have been grief'd nonstop 😓 It's just really, really, getting to me *sigh* I was Matchmaking to a Poker game and some stupid, pre-pubescent, shrilly kid started punching me --I couldn't do anything about it because I was loading into a game. Really ****ing annoying </rant>1 point

What PSN Tech suggested above in my post seemed to work for me so far. I was able to play solo and online each for about an hour with now issues at all! The longest part of the whole process is installing off the two disc...takes for ever. All said and done about 2 hours. Update 5/19. Played for 4 more hours today and with zero crashes.1 point

damn Xbox got the PS4's update lol (the knife and their game mode) i can only imagine how dry it is on PS4 at the moment... honestly Rockstar is becoming the worst company out there in regards of how they handle their development. No communication when it comes to ideas/feedback/suggestions they are getting, no goals in mind, no nothing. Just silence as they scramble to finish their Alpha project.1 point

So that people come and contribute to the forums at least a small amount, otherwise we'd just get groups coming, dropping their post with a link, and then never returning.1 point
