  1. I think Defensive mode is as close to perfect as it can be. Defensive mode is not Passive mode. You're playing defensively. You still need to defend yourself but you have a much larger window of opportunity to react. Rockstar doesn't want to divide the players. I don't really like Passive mode in GTA. I can't do a lot of fun things and it pulls me out of the setting when there's a ghosted out player toddling around. The next thing Rockstar needs to implement is Private/Invite only sessions.

  3. Personally I'd rather ditch defensive/and other modes altogether (grubs like me never understand them anyway) and just stick us all in a big sandbox but with bigger consequences. So if someone attacks another player for no good reason and the victim presses charges (which seems to do nothing) there would be an instant, more serious bounty, some law turn up, maybe bounty posters as well, so the aggressor would field some real heat. That would either deter the casuals and they'd stop, or the hardcore would enjoy the attention and would carry on but that in itself would be realistic and would improve the game realism. As it stands, a bounty poster will send me after an NPC because the committed one relative innocuous crime, but a player can murder a whole town and my horse (you know which part of that I find particularly unpalatable) and get off scott-free. If a stranger shoots me that's actually fine, but he needs to expect some payback, both from me and the authorities and other players who are into fighting the good fight.

  4. I think it should split some goods and material to your own camp. Maybe not as quickly as if you were running in your own. I don't like being the leader, I'd rather be support.

  5. Also, when others would get online and see the persistent was active, they would just join from online menu and after a couple of hours the gang was back together. Now they will get online, but remain solo until cripps is finished then message for an escort. Yeah, we're pulling in major cash, but....sometimes it doesn't seem worth what we've lost.

  6. @PepinoGrande Other members have mentioned this in other threads, but just to let you know building your collections and selling them will get you double the RDO$ (compared to selling items separately) and 1500 XP when you sell them. When you ride your horse, while doing anything else, with the metal detector in hand you will find lots of coins, jewelry and arrowheads along your journey.

  7. I was just work hard on trading and didn’t buy the collector ability until I was at level 9 or 10 as a trader. I got to level 20 as collector really quick just by pick up stuff as I hunted (still only level 18 trader) and selling a bunch of random stuff to the lady. I haven’t even had any full collections of anything. The shovel and metal detector made it really easy to grab random stuff but what really helped was the skill that made the controller vibrate when I got close to collector items.

  8. Same for me. I have never been one to stick with one brand when it came to consoles. I need to know more. I want to hear about more specs, details, exclusive games, and so on before I make my choice.

  9. My brother and I 'cheated' the 100m bow challenge by doing it on each other so I'm not sure how rare that is. I favour one of the summer update buckles now but my favourite of the standard ones would probably be the 3 sniper rifle headshots in 10s - as hard as my brother tries to get it he can never get it to work out right. 😂

  10. Yeah. Annoying as hell. And so cheap. Had a dude with dynamite arrows pulling the same non sense. So I killed his horse with an explosive. I think he was surprised I could target his horse. When he hit the ground, I shot him with an incendiary slug. He pressed charges and left the session. Dude dressed like a KKK member was trolling my camp in defensive the other day. Throwing fire bottles and dynamite like an idiot. I dropped the flag and killed him. I can free aim buddy. Guess some people think that everyone is auto aim dependent in this game. Sorry slim. lol

  11. I don't recall seeing anything official with that. I think I have seen 3rd party controllers at Fry's that look like a PS4 controller, for use on the PC. Here is a guide with setting that up. You also need to use a free 3rd party program DS4Windows. https://www.pcgamer.com/how-to-use-a-ps4-controller-on-pc/

  12. The Trapper takes the pelt and makes clothes out of them. The fence takes the other items (tusk, teeth, etc.) and makes talismans out of them. Sell the pelt to the trapper, and use the "craft" option with the fence to make the talismans.

  13. I am assuming this was the issue here. I don't think everyone realizes they give you enough from the legendary to make all the available items you can.

  14. I'm not going to waste my time looking up the article. I just remember that one of the guys from Rockstar being interviewed and stating that this wasn't going to be a western version of GTA5 or GTAO. No he didn't commit to adding DLC, he did state at that time, that they was going to focus to give the single player campaign the same focus that they would put to the online content. Which to me wasn't done, by the mere fact that they haven't paid 2 cents worth of attention to RDR2 since its release, once it came out they dropped everything to focus on RDO. For those that have a short memory, RDR was given attention as well as it's online game was. Seeing how their actions have shown that are following the same routine that they did with GTA5. To be clear, they have did very well for RDO. It has became a enjoyable experience compared to what it was at release. It doesn't change the fact 60 to 100 hours is anywhere close to the amount of hours that you get from RDO.

  15. Selling complete collections will get you good money and about 1500XP per collection. I recommend you do what you can to get the Metal Detector ASAP it will dramatically change how fast you rank up in Collector and position you to collect coins & jewelry that you can not find without it. Good collecting!

  16. Well in that case, bring on the phased plasma rifle in 40 watt range. Why let any sense of reality stop us, right?
