  1. I recall an interview with R* regarding how impressed they were with the films coming from the community in GTAV. I think they can appreciate it and realize how others enjoy it as well. I can see R* at least considering it for RDR2. There are a number of YTers out there creating this sort of content purely for entertainment, telling their own stories, making mini films, etc. Some of it is really quite good IMO (a lot of talent out there).
  2. Yeah, sex in RDR2 was nowhere even on my check list of things I would have wanted. ....wouldn't care if it was in there either but certainly could care less that it isn't.
  3. With everything I've seen so far and simply judging them by my past experiences with their product, I had no doubt.
  4. Yeah, you never know what the future may hold. .....but I have a feeling the campaign and RDO beta will keep me busy for a long time before I start craving more.
  5. Well, thanks CMcC. You're one of mine as well. In fact, there are a lot of nice folks around here. I hope that doesn't change too much as the community grows.
  6. What about a combination of ideas stemming from writers, written works and myth from the period. .....Brahm, Stoker, Shelley, Stevenson, etc. Maybe you fall into the role of a 19th century "monster hunter" of sorts with main characters that you need to defeat (Frankenstien, Dracula, etc.) but also other minions and victims that you encounter throughout the world. Voodoo in the Lemoyne region and yeah, maybe even zombies from legend. Just spitballin' here.....
  7. I really wished they would have released a remastered version of RDR on the latest gen consoles. I would have bought it. .....but now that RDR2 is here, I doubt I will ever try to revisit that old title ever again. It just wouldn't be the same given just how far the game has advanced in this latest iteration of the series.
  8. Thanks Benjo. RDR2.org is my last spoiler-free zone before the release tonight. I've had to abandon my other sources until then as they all started to reveal a wee bit too much for my taste. .....and thanks @Gswaynas I know your heart is in the right place in sharing this information with others.
  9. Holy cow.... Even my trusted Twitter sources are coughing up more details than I want to know today. Guess I will be staying away from all that until tonight. I'm on the west coast of the U.S. so as long as there isn't a big a$$ day-one patch to download, I should be playing shortly after 9 PM. .....which means I'll be able to get in at least 3-4 hours of gameplay in before I pass out for the night.
  10. Hate to say I don't believe these guys but all four joined with just a few minutes of each other (8:21, 8:24, 8:25 and 8:33 pm). .......just like you pointed out @CMcC. I also haven't heard anyone else around here (or elsewhere) bring up this issue that has a history on the site, etc. that I feel I can trust as a source. Paint me skeptical unless we start hearing from reputable / official sources.
  11. I'm semi-retired myself. ......still about 15 years from "official" retirement. I don't game in the day during the week though. I dunno, just feels weird (for me) if I do. Occasionally I will on weekends though but definitely during the evening. Had my share of forgettable outfits from the 70s when I was a kid. .....ugh.
  12. Hasn't happened to me or anyone I know. ......yet. What platforms are you guys on?
  13. Yeah.... Pinball machines were fun. While not really the same, we had a pretty nice pachinko machine at home as a kid. ....spent hours on that. I think it's still somewhere in my Dad's garage. What was nice about the early days of video games in arcades is that pinball machines still existed alongside them. I'm sure they are still around but I haven't really stepped into one in many years.
  14. What's been cool for me is being there and playing those games during the dawn of mainstream consoles and PCs. .....seeing just how far games have come since the 70's, 80s and beyond. I spent a lot of time in arcades during my youth before and during that time as well.
  15. That's really cool actually. ........now get off my lawn!!!
  16. @Bullet Slinger I'm your age and I know exactly what you mean by Christmas morning during those years. Now I live vicariously through my own kid. Yeah, I'm really excited about the release probably more so due to the long dry spell between titles that I have caught my interest.
  17. They may have said it before but they Tweeted a couple hours ago.....
  18. I use Twitter for up to date info but I only follow specific sources that refuse to leak info / footage. ....although they may provide a link if you want to. Either way, I still get news on the leaks but no real details unless I research it on my own. ......which I prefer NOT to do for the most part. I've seen the map and the 20 sec footage but neither really spoiled anything IMO. There are other leaks that I have been avoiding though.
  19. Seems the full map is also revealed from the RDR2 guide book.
  20. Lucky you. Lost most of mine and what remains is mostly grey. ......I'm over the half century mark myself.
  21. Yeah, that's who I typically end up becoming friends with. Likely because we have more in common with one another. They are also very easy going and don't take themselves or games too seriously. I'm on PS4 though. I used the term "mature" before but it seems that gets interpreted by some as perhaps being a little sanctimonious. I have a group in the Posse section but it doesn't exclude anyone by age. ......although the description includes attributes that may imply a level of maturity is preferred.
  22. Yeah, I don,t know if Mors Mutual Insurance covers the loss of a horse. ......that's not a telegraph I would want to send.
  23. .......yeah, but thought I should mention it anyway. I didn't want to sound like a hypocrite but you're right, I'm really only using it for my own advantage and not over others. I only play solo or on rare occasions, with friends. To be honest, even at level 200+ and the arsenal I have, I still don't stand a chance against griefers as they know all the tricks of trolling. What's funny though is when people start getting matchmade to my session (still happens sometimes even with the MTU trick), I noticed folks tend to leave me alone unless they are at my level or above. .....or if it's just a couple of us in the session together. I can usually tell right away if they're going to be a problem though.
  24. ....yeah, I'm over the whole zombie thing myself but I could see it making for a good co-op experience which I am always a fan of. I guess I would have to see how they implemented it. I'm a little torn.
