  1. https://youtu.be/6jNRQr0R3-U Or a lower quality video https://youtu.be/aio-nSgffao Not sure if this is how to do it, but I'm testing. Ill get there, lol. from xbox to one drive to my desktop to you tube, to this post, is a lot of transferring for a short little video.
  2. I played the single player game 3 times all the way through through both Epilogues, I still have a game going toward 100% with #30,000 in cash and I think 95% or so. This is very different, but after going in three times for a few hours at a time, I am getting the jist of it, it is very slow and tedious.
  3. I dont see anything, I went to the post office and all that was there was ammo I ordered in the catalog. How does it usually work when you are gifted something from Rockstar?
  4. I totally agree, when you first start you want to be left alone, hunt, fish, look around, get the lay of the land, I think Rockstar should make an Anything goes free roam and a protected free roam, so if you do want to level up fishing, and hunting, you can do that and not worry about people messing with you at all, it can not be that hard to do.
  5. Well, we all have opinions, To me, Im a total noob here but it seems to me that they could just make a free roam for those who want to hunt and fish and explore and punish those who go out of their way to aggravate other players and kill them repeatedly. So you would have the option to join an actual free roam, roam and do what you want but with consequences, if you harass people and bother them while they are enjoying their game then you get kicked, fined, jailed and eventually temporarily banned, etc.. But if they want to play like that then have that available, make an anything goes free roam, so those who do enjoy the conflicts and want to hit and run and whatever else, then they should join the "Anything goes" free roam. That way, if I join Anything goes, I expect to be hassled, attacked, ambushed, etc.. and I am ready for it. Also, if they are bored and want more players, they should'nt chase away new players who are trying to learn the game and have less than level 10, almost no weapons, potions, etc.. just unprepared players not ready for a fight being attacked just isnt a good game I get that killing people is part of the game, but pulling me (level 6) off my horse while im trying to read a menu while the game is paused is just nonsense, there is no sport or fun in that, especially for me, Im just trying to learn the game, and its tough enough without worrying about stopping to read something or look at the menu's or whatever. Killing a noob on his horse while he struggles to understand how this all works, is not "game play" it is some person being a jerk. Dont call them griefers, call them a-holes. I wish R* would address it in a real way, with $$ if you partake in this behavior with new players then it will cost you, kill a player 10 levels lower than yourself in free roam or any player under level 25 pay a fine. As hard as it is to make money in this game, I say hit them where it hurts, and this behavior goes away, with a few exceptions, you always have some people who do things to irritate everyone else, it is the nature of the internet, key board warriors, in real life they would never act this way and for good reason, but a little anonymity and they turn into serial A holes.
  6. Dude!! So awesome of you to explain all that and from work too, I can not thank you enough. Just having some answers really helps a lot. Ok first off, Im on an xbox I do enjoy hunting/ fishing, so I thought until I am comfortable I will do that to earn cash and gold and xp. Once I can upgrade my weapons, supplies, camp, and horse, I will look at missions and stuff. I cant get the Springfield or Varmit rifle yet, (only two I really need) but I have gotten a couple perfect pelts from deer, bucks, skunks and racoons. No Trapper means I have to sell to Butchers? anyone else? can I sell Orchids? Seems ridiculous that you can not sleep, I mean how many days can that go on before my character is shot from exhaustion. I would like to fish but I think I need to level up a little, I guess. Thank you very much for throwing me a life line, you kind of made the difference of me trying again or just giving up. I have a bit of an anxiety disorder and as a result I stay away from most multi player scenarios, COD WW2 is the exception, but I sooo want to get into this, as I love this game and would like to get the most out of it I can. Since I loaded this game a little before X-Mas, I havent played another game, nothing, and I bought Far Cry 5 Ultimate edition with all the trimmings, and I was playing COD WW2 daily until I loaded this game, RDR2 has ruined all my other games, so time to learn the Online MP, I hope.
  7. Thanks I set it up, not sure if I got it right, that was a nightmare having no idea what to expect or how it works, anyway I sent an email to support asking them to verify that in fact I did 2 step verification my account so I can gain the rewards for doing so. Thank you again for your help, I really appreciate that.
  8. I am on my laptop but I cant find a code reader thing or whatever I need to do it. I would love to use my pc I just dont see how.
  9. Its pretty confusing, although I am working a little of it out. anyway im just confused I think, is there an online manual I can read from the beginning? Starting off with so little I dont really want to join any events or fights as I have like nothing to work with and will only die very quickly. I figured id go hunting and sell stuff for a little bit to learn my way around, but even that is hard you start with one cheap repeater that is hard to get a clean kill with for a perfect pelt on most animals, and it wont kill a gator with one shot, so.. to get the Springfield, I need to make a little more $$ so I am hunting what I can day and night to get the extra $60 to buy the Springfield so I can then get better pelts and animals and with that hopefully buy a fishing pole, ammo, and a few things so I can then hunt and fish my way to a few weapons and upgrades. I feel very anxious about the whole thing, I hate being forced to play with people, I feel in over my head as I dont have a good handle on what is up and I dont want to be used as fodder or be taken advantage of in missions I join so it is all just a little overwhelming. I havent figured out how to sleep yet, since I dont have a tent only a bed roll, I see I need to buy that and most things require level upgrades, I am at level 6 I think. So I can rest but not sleep. I dont see the point in that, but ok This whole thing kind of sucks, sitting on my horse pressing pause so I can look up something in the menu, I think I was looking to see if there was a trapper, which I cant believe there isnt, but ok, and I was pulled off my horse and killed, by some guy, wtf I appreciate the games and activities, but I do not want to participate in those until I have better weapons, and stocked up on lots of big game meat, herbs, and potions, seems like getting to that point is going to very tedious. Am I missing something? What did you guys do when you first joined? did you just join events with others and see what happened or did you hunt, / fish, etc.. I need ideas, I set this up weeks ago and then never played it, I went in and played a third play through of single player instead and really enjoyed that. But now I am done with that and thought I will try this, as I want to keep playing, I just dont know how to best get started I guess. I have like 80$ and less than .30 gold bars, thats I think 1/3 of one bar, lol with this repeater it is really hard to get a 3 start pelt of anything, I did get a few deer, but geese anything smaller is no good and bigger the gun wont kill. I was going to just start over completely but I didnt see a way to do that, I wanted to just erase my charchter and start over make a new one, go through whatever tutorial there is and go from there, but again, I never found that option, so Im stuck as this guy I made, I am in lemoyne now, where when I set this up I was in the South somewhere maybe Armadilla? Anyway , I appreciate any ideas, thoughts, etc..
  10. I cant do the two step verification as I cont have a cell phone, uggg wtf I do have one but I never use it , at home for some reason even though it says it is connected to my wifi I can not turn pages, it acts like it is not connected yet it is, so I just get real frustrated and give up on it, now this two step verification thing is pissing me off, I have so little $$ and gold Ill take all I can get, and I need to find a way to do the two step verification without the ir code thing. Any ideas?
  11. I took the boat from our camp, so it is no hiding or looking out, you just paddle up and talk to her. But I read that if you save the game just before mission so you can see it all, then reload the save and skip the cutscenes.
  12. WoW thats cool, yes the one I found looks just like this. They are so rare I couldn't see shooting it. I figured I only found one in all this time, Ill just leave it be. Very cool to see another, anything you can find in this game organically and something that most others have not seen is still exciting.
  13. The only time ive ever seen any drop in frame rates are when I attack a small group of O'Drisolls let's say, and I use explosive weapons, so everything ends up burning, and with lots of flames, you can see a drop in frame rates, the only time it gets better is when he flames die down. Otherwise, never see any lag or frame rate drop at all. Xbox one X @ 4k when available on a 70" P series Vizio 4k tv
  14. Thanks, Ill look at that later and post it up. I have an Xbox one X I took a 4k video, and a 1080 too.
  15. In three play throughs Im past Epilogue 2 for the third time, and while out hunting for a skunk one night, I found a bee hive!! If I walk over to it the bee's all swarm on me, lol but I dont see any health or stamina drop and John dosnt react to the bee's. https://youtu.be/6jNRQr0R3-U Or a lower quality video https://youtu.be/aio-nSgffao I can tell you it is at Ringneck Creek, west side of the creek. If you look at the map, directly southwest of the "n" in "neck"on your map you will see the lines for elevation the large oval kind of space with an eye in it is the exact location on my map, if that makes any sense, just look carefully about 100 feet from the water in that area. I thought it was an amazing detail that until now, I hadnt seen anywhere else in game.
  16. I read several of the posts and a few people mentioned it had happened on an xbox one x also and maybe had to do with hdr, so I wanted to contribute, no HDR for me and no issue either, although most one X's dont have issues, they can, and if they run hot they will. I keep a fan on mine and two glass candle holders under it so air gets around the entire console. Once it locked up hard while many things were happening and fire was on screen, it can get intense and that was before I put a fan on the console. Anyway just want to contribute any info that might help.
  17. The best advice I can give after playing the game 3 times. In Chapter 2, Get a scope on whatever rifle you have get the Buck Antler trinket early on Get your satchel upgraded as fast as you can, you can do this in chapter 2 Get your camp loaded with everything it needs and tons of food, To do that fast, grab whatever gold is easiest to get early, Dont rush the story missions, do one, or two, then avoid them, do companion missions, stranger missions, challenges, do anything you can to avoid the next story mission, like stocking up on big game meat, creeping thyme and mint, oregano, gators are big game meat and just sit there, so the swamp is your friend early on to stock up very fast. Pick everything you come across, grab everything gator eggs, bird plumes, orchids, and save them, if you upgraded your satchel you can load up 99 of most things, so ust grab everything you encounter, all the time. Loot every body you can Following just these items, I made nearly $20,000.00 with high honor, all dino bones, exotic requests, camp requests, stranger missions, rock carvings, dream catchers, cigarette cards, legendary fish, legendary animals, etc.. When you move around to different areas, really explore them, do the side stuff, get the legendary animals, and fish, and carvings, etc.. in each area, some aras you will go to early on your own like the swamp and St denis Owijilla lake area and north of there is awesome for hunting, and you can do 90% of your satchel upgrade hunting right there.
  18. Xbox one X , 70" Vizio p series 4k no hdr native 4k no blur
  19. Just look for spices and herbs everywhere you go, get used to using dead eye everywhere, doing this you will find dream catchers, dino bones and rock carvings, as they all give off orange dots/bubbles, and carvings light up when you are near in dead eye. It will take a lot longer and be more difficult, but you can do it.
  20. I got all legendary fish as Arthur, he never got the invite, but at some point in the epilogue John got mail and it was an invite from Gill which I thought was wierd because he had never met him or sent him any fish, Arthur did all that, but anyway we went with him and as john was able to complete the encounter.
  21. I completed All Algernon Wasp exotic missions in chapter 4 Now I just sell eggs, plumes, crawfish, etc. If you haven't finished this, do it, its great, the pay off was big, and you get a couple unique items.
  22. Nice, I have $33,000.00 or so now after the Epilogues, I spent another $10,000.00 or so also on horses and clothes, weapons upgrades and hair tonic, so yeah I get it, but I was under the impression that these reset based on Johns comment about Arthurs satchel with the maps. Anyway, I found the same thing, all the "Loot" spots reset but not the treasure locations for the various maps. I too dont need any more money, but if it is there, I want it. In the search for the rest of the parakeets I have picked up lots of gator eggs, crawfish, and plumes all of which sell for a few bucks each and can make you some quick money. In story mode I kept most jewelry in case I needed it for crafting, now that I have all trinkets and talismans I have no need for earings, or rings, etc.. so I am only keeping unique items, viking comb, meteorite's, etc...this time around and staying as light as I can in the valuables section of my satchel.
  23. I read in Arthur's Journal as John, he wrote, "I wonder if there is anything to these treasure maps?" I thought maybe they would be reset for John to go collect, but they are not, however the crashed train car gave up 2 bars. I started to go to the locations but I havent had any luck finding the old gold, only the limphany bar, and train wreck, Arthur grabbed the braithwaite bar in chapter 6 so I am not sure about that one. Has anyone had any other results?
  24. I am at: 94.8% Complete 6 Days 8 hours 29 Minutes Ive done half the challenges, all the legendary animals and fish, all the rock carvings, dino bones, dream catchers, satchel upgrades, etc... I have a few things to do yet, but about 122 hours in?
  25. Also they are all passive they are active whether you wear them or not, and they stack so they all work from what I read anyway, although I assumed you had a choice fo two or three to wear and those would be the ones active, thats how I played it and how I thought it worked.
