Oh my oh my what a dirtbag. Its a shame he is playing on PS4 bcoz i would love to grief him back. He sucks at this anyway and cuts off the scenes where he was killed but he did attack first. About the whole def off stance. IMO it worked a bit and less ppl are shooting eachother. Defensive stance gives you some protection from agressive players but not immunity. Its like saying to everyone "hey im hunting and dont bother/want to pvp" - sometimes it works, sometimes not. I personally dont like the idea of it but if it helps some ppl it does not bother me. I dont use it ( used it maybe once or twice when i went afk but after i came back i was in diffrent spot so most likely was killed). Im not agresive by nature but playing RDRO for some months now i learned that its stupid to ignore bypassing players. Most of them will try to kill you anyway. So now in free roam when i see someone charging at me or following me, geting into close range while im picking up herbs for daily or whatnot i just pull out 2x Mausers or a shottie and shoot. Im sorry if you wanted only to have a look what im doing or use some greet emote. Im constantly on a look out while i play and i like it. I make exceptions sometimes when i see a defensive mode player on a horse with game on its back i dont shoot but im on high alert ready to go lock and loaded. The only solution to this is implementing the bounty system and letting players take bounties on agressive players. It would be super cool fun and solution to griefing problem (i still not considering this griefing) in some extent.

Heard ppl had bugs like this but it never happened to me. The only way now is to submit a ticket to R* with Your problem. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Once you start to feel the vibrations (it might be just one) stop and take point. Best way for me then is to just pick one direction N,S,E or W and go a few meters to check if the vibrations stop or go more frequent. If they stop i go back to that point and try other direction. Again use eagle eye only if the vibrations are very frequent and dont move then - just look around for yellow FX - if you cant see it turn eagle eye off and rely on vibrations again. If you are really close the vibrations are less than a second from eachother. Another way to locate the vibrations on a big terrain is to start from the outer rim and slowly spiral inside the area until you get the first vibration. Also take notice that only one vibration may have been you hitting something and not the actual treasure vibration. That is when you feel it just stop and wait for the second one to be sure. i have some funny videos as well but im to lazy to edit and upload them. What is very funny for me is after playing RDRO for a couple of months now and killing all those animals in game , especially birds when i drive my car to work or w/e i keep a lookout for birds lol. Never bothered with them and now i see all of them. Same with animals. They work like an eye magnet for me now ha ha.

I bet there are groups like that but the majority is just like You said. Im a lone wolf like Jnaron_ngc and found nice ppl as well. I only join or create posse to make the daily. There is a section in this forum to find a posse. I bet there is a posse out there that You are looking for, EDIT : You can achieve everything the game offers solo or in group. My personal opinion is that i do it better/faster solo. I like to take my time while playing and not rushing from mission to mission that is mainly the reason for solo play. If i want confrontation with other players i just join pvp.

Yesterday i got about 15 D/c's. Was playing for about 3 hours. I couldnt even log in to the game after a dc. This needs to be resolved.

I had no problem with the map y-day when i got it. The treasure is in the abandoned wagon. Best way to find them is to follo the wibrations of the Pad. Once they get more frequent THEN use Eagle eye to find the yellow FX. If You use the eagle eye from the start You will not feel the vibrations. If the map is bugged just reload the game like said above. When i want to "reset" RDR i just close the game , shut down the console and unplug it from power for a few secs, then turn everything back on. I believe this is "resseting" the game bcoz after that all problems with the game goes away. Even the ingame map resets from the animal pictures tht you hunted etc.

Time goes so fast during the summer for me bcoz i run private business at the sea and work in my regular job at the same time. I feel like June started maybe a week ago and its the end of July. August will fly fast as well so im feeling the "end" of summer. I hope they implement the update till then. I never tried GTA V and GTAO but liked the older wersions and played them all. Maybe ill buy a copy today and have a look. EDIT : But yeah Casino update..... not im my Country im affraid. I dont even have poker in RDRO.....

The real problem atm for me are players in showdown modes using hacks like: Aimbot (Insta head target), Insta reload, unlimited exploding ammo, no recoil.... Some of showdowns offer to watch the rest of the match after you got killed and You can choose what player you watch. This is the best method to see it for yourself that its in fact in game.

I really was hoping for the summer update bcoz tbh summer is ending so it's confusing. Especially bcoz imo R* has many updates ready to go but is sitting on it to postpone them as much as they can. When the playerbase frustration reaches its limits- bang update. That is how i see it. Treasure map is cool and all but srsly. We need more. I love the game and play everyday but its starting to be a bit boring for high rank players. We need new content and new money sinks.

Sometimes i get this bug the first time im entering showdown and the game is already started. I only have one short gun and there is no icon for the 2nd gun. When the showdown is over and the next game beggins everything is back to normal. Also try equipping and unequping the holster.If all fails contact support. Hope You fix the problem soon.

Hey Flash ! Welcome. My first question is: Do You have/bought a 2nd gun? If you have other guns there should be no problem equipping it. Try restarting your console. If it doesnt work contact R* support.

Y-day in free Co op mission (bank robbery) one of the players (were 4 of us total) suddenly turned red and started shooting us.... When he killed two players the game stopped (Failure to complete the mission) and restarted again without the player. Had this first time - How is this possible?

Recently when i was doing dailys i came across a player (blue dot but not transparent) charging at me so i shot him in the face - then the "fun" started. The guy came back and started to kill me. The thing is that i could not target him and he didnt use SB. I had this bug 2 or 3 times but in co-op missions and never in free roam. The bug is: When you target a player the reticule is slightly to the right not even on the enemys body. it targets air. I managed to kill him maybe 2 or 3 times and died about 20 times. Could not target him proper and he was always blue to me. He seemed to be targeting me in an instant and in the head str8. He even used carabine to piss me off even more. After i got frustrated i just left the character afk and went out to cool off and he got bored shooting afk target. To get rid of the bug i had to restart the game. Anyone had this?

Welcome to RDR2O partner ! My few cents to You: 1. I would recommend "playing the game" for ranking up - there are some methods to XP "fast" like one mentioned above (shooting del lobos in thieves landing) but i dont reccomend them. They are booooooooring and dull. The best way is to just play the game, enjoy and learn the world (its a bit diffrent than story mode), hunt, make stranger missions, co - op story missions, some pvp, daily acheivements. Use better ammo on enemies for more xp. There will be achievements for playing like skinning 1000 animals etc, the moment you get gold buckle for completing one of these make sure to reset the achievement to get gold bars and start making it again for nice XP boost. You can reset most of them 10 times. Shoot every animal you come across you dont need to skin them all but its free xp. 2. For money making - best way is to hunt. Birds are good money, some fish as well. I personally hunt every type of animal until im full on my inventory and then turn back the goods. Dont spend money on cosmetics in the beggining. Buy Varmint rifle, lancaster reapeter and bolt action and reapeter shotgun first and upgrade them. Buy a good horse and saddle for gold bars. Use varmint for small animals and birds and bolt for everything else. Lancaster is good in missions and mid range pvp. BUY ABILITY CARDS FIRST then everything else - You dont need all ability cards but some are essental like : Paint it black, peak condition, cold blooded or stranger medicine, unblinking eye, slippery bastard, winning streak, slow and steady, horseman. I personally have all of cards maxed out but there are a few that dont matter at the moment. 3. Dont shoot ppl in free roam without a reason or you will get ur @ss handed to You by a high lvl. If you feel harassed or griefed just change sessions or go into co op mission etc. 4. If someone shoots at you shoot back 5. If you dont like playing solo i would suggest to posse up. True. I,ve noticed that when im busy hunting with horse stacked up to the roof or running stranger missions those events pop more often. sometimes im like cmon NOW ... and have to ditch a carcass to help a stranger out. When i look for those hideouts and events on purpose sometimes it takes ages.

A few days ago (friday to be exact) i had this : Was finishing my daily challenges and was on 5/7 the other 2 were : 1: Cooking up fish with seasoning 2: Something pvp oriented (shooting 3 times from a pistol i believe) Went to my camp to cook the fish and when i finished cooking my achievements reset to 1/7 (fish cooked). I was like WTF and even recorded it. It happened only one time to me before but onlu one achievement was reset. Now all except the one i did. Anyone had this? At first i was pissed but the achievements were really easy that day and did them again very fast and got 2x the money and exp of em so overall its kinda good. Weird.

Howdy Partners ! I recently bought xbox Elite Pad for better gaming experience. Im currently looking on diffrent pvp oriented setups for RDRO and testing them. Im asking for those who have Elite pads to share Your controller setup for PVP mostly but pve/hunting also. I've already switched pressing down the left and right pad for small paddle left and right and its a gamechanger. Now using dead eye, crouching etc while running around is much better. Looking forward for your advice.

Never happened to me before but i dont use Defensive stance so really cant tell. For me this looks like a bug or sth. What does happen tho and since last 3 days very often is i get the honor down icon and the game tells me that i commited a crime - murder most of the cases but havent done anything to anyone mostly while hunting or free roaming. Odd.
