  1. Different perspectives. My posse won’t fire until fired upon.
  2. A bit passive aggressive?
  3. You can, but it’s a more complicated process that I’d rather not deal with.
  4. I mean, I was in the middle of nowhere without my horse and just had my revolvers (holstered). Not to mention the fact that there were four of them and one of me, and I was a good 200 yards from their delivery route. But to each their own. I’ll retaliate each and every time 😉
  5. I don’t even bother with putting myself in defensive mode anymore after I got killed in an instant after the update. At least in offensive you can fight back.
  6. No problem. I found it quite hilarious when they all accused me of cheating lol
  7. No, I spawned into the game just outside Van Horn (solo). I had not even had time to whistle for my horse before another posse’s scout came over to me while they were nearing the end of their delivery. Then he shot me without provocation.
  8. True, but I also enjoy it when one player (who’s innocent) outwits/outguns a gang of assholes. It’s like justice has been served. I get why sometimes you would rather leave and not deal with it, but sometimes these fools need to be put in their place so they’ll realize they can’t mess with just anyone without repercussions.
  9. I’m with you there, buddy. And thank you. Maybe we’ll get cross-platform play soon. That would be great.
  10. I understand where y’all are coming from. It’s a shame that the game has bred such hostility toward strangers. I guess, in a way, that’s how the real west was. I try to be in game chat as much as possible. Either to help out others or to let people know I’m not their enemy. In fact, game chat was the way I would get people to participate in duels before the spring update. It was fun getting 20 or so people to gather around on the rooftops to watch two people do a quick draw in the muddy streets of Valentine or on the dusty drag of Armadillo. I’ll just say this: if you’re on PS4 and happen to run across a posse called The Congregation or by me (xI_ENOCH_Ix), always expect a helping hand.
  11. Just yesterday I was griefed by a posse trying to deliver a wagon of goods to Van Horn. I had no intention of shooting them and when one of their scouts came over to “inspect” me, he shot me even after I tipped my hat and told him (in game chat) that I meant them no harm. After that, I respawned and followed them to their delivery point. Once their mission was over I started tagging all four of them with explosive rounds. They got me a couple more times as I fell back to Annesberg. I finally managed to kill them all in one life then led them on a merry chase across Ambarino and New Hanover, stopping along the way on various cliffs to shoot them down as they kept following me. Eventually they all got on game chat and as usual they spoke all ghetto, Billy-badass at me as I kept killing them. The whole chase ceased when we got across the river on the east side of West Elizabeth. I took another perch on top of a cliff and kept tagging them as they tried to cross. Moral of the story: invest in explosive ammo.
  12. Every time I make a distant delivery, I always make sure that I have a posse member with me and that I have all my weapons loaded with explosive ammo. I haven’t been attacked yet. Kinda wish I would be. Side note: It would be cool if there were train guard opportunities in free roam. I know there’s the free roam event, but I’m thinking of something else. Like when a train is about to pull into station, an icon pops up at the station where you can sign up to guard the train. But if you don’t get there fast enough, you can rob the train from the other players.
  13. Haha! The backstory is basically a church was robbed, most of the members were killed and the building was set ablaze by a gang the reformed priest (my avatar) used to belong to. The local law turned a blind eye to the act. Now The Congregation roams the West to help those in need - whether it be from outlaws, or those who would use the law to hide their evil deeds.
  14. These days I’ve been listening to more orchestral music. This song is my latest new found love: https://youtu.be/izsjRpcgfmk
  15. A crimson dot appears on my radar. After a moment, I (or my posse) realize it’s not an NPC. The prompt on the right side of my screen notifies me that the hostile is killing other players indiscriminately. I stroll into the area cautiously, wanting to observe the ruckus before I engage just in case it’s a group of players having a bit of fun. Once I hear through the in-game chat that this hostile player is harassing people, I load up every bit of explosive ammo I can muster. It’s one thing to engage others in free roam in a friendly scuffle, it’s quite another to outright ruin the experience of the game by incessantly punishing those who are less experienced than you. Fully loaded, I ride in and take out the griefer. The other players observe me with a sense of hesitancy - no doubt wondering if I’ll turn on them. I tip my hat to let them know I’m there to help. The griefer returns and tries to gun me down. His/her attempts fail. I extinguish their avatar’s life once more. This is the point where the griefer gets on their mic and begins hurling childish insults my way. I don’t care. I just keep chasing them back to their spawn point and kill them again, pushing them further away from town. Now the insults get REALLY heated as the griefer wishes death upon me and voices aspirations of having relations with my mother. Still doesn’t bother me. Eventually the griefer has been driven back so far and has died so much that they disappear from the server. The day is won. The player(s) who was being harassed thanks me for my help. I tip my hat again and rear up my horse, then ride off into the sunset. Another innocent has been spared the cruelty of the West. Now they’ll know that The Congregation will always be there to help.
  16. I’m level 70 on the Outlaw Pass, 13 for Trader, 12 for Collector, and 7 for Bounty Hunter. During the week I only have a few hours to play, so I try to vary up my activities.

🤷‍♂️ To each their own. I just find that there’s an added bit of security in my purchases when they’re with me as opposed to being on some database somewhere with who knows who having access to it.

I concur. My main issue is if/when these services fail, there goes your game library.
  19. I got the Collector role for free and I don’t even play GTA 🤷‍♂️
  20. 🤷‍♂️ I have no control over that. The reality of the situation is that Sony has the better exclusives, therefore I chose their system.
  21. Fixed the problem. Since I got the controller less than 2 months ago, I went to Walmart and exchanged the ****er for a new one 😂
  22. Anybody else getting a weird drifting problem lately? I initially got it a few days ago when I loaded back into the SP for the first time in a while. The direction that my right analog stick controls would suddenly drift downward. Today, after the update, it’s the left analog stick as if I’m pushing right. It doesn’t do it in any of my other games or menus. Wondering if I need to reinstall the game.
  23. I hate dealing with people who are in defensive mode and decide to go rogue.
  24. Any of you guys and gals like to to do random activities that aren’t “official” modes in the game? My posse and I sometimes like to get as many strangers as possible, go down to Armadillo and do a bunch of duels (like here in the picture). There’s no reward, just having fun. Some time in the near future I’d love to get a bunch of people to play hide and go seek in the alligator infested swamps at night. The catch is that everyone has to be in first person with their radars turned off. Only the person who’s It can use their cattleman revolver. Mind the reptiles 😈
  25. Here I am, trying to log in today (9/9) and keep getting a ton of blue error screens. I hope this doesn’t happen tomorrow 😬
