RDR2 Online: Feature Request: Spotting Players [Rockstar Responded]
Moosh89 replied to M_Ono7's topic in Red Dead Online
I just had a look through the Rank Unlocks and you don't get Binoculars until like, a seemingly dumb-higher level (can't remember which since I viewed all 100 ranks)... Should be a starting equipment. -
Damn it, I thought I looked over all the options. But again, this game doesn't explain things very clearly or timely. Now I hope they do wipe progress so I can start a less ugly character
-
I noticed in the Rank Unlocks menu that you get some different clothing/accessories for reaching certain levels, maybe new dental veneers are rank based? lol. In SP, I remember looting "Gold Tooth" items from enemies, maybe we can get some gold teeth for "status" objects?

I'm on PS4, and I only got disconnected once. I had to travel back to the first it sends you to after killing the bandits for as I got disconnected as soon as I arrived. I played for a good 2 hours, maybe more.

RD2O Feature Request: Spotting Players [Rockstar Responded]
Moosh89 replied to M_Ono7's topic in Red Dead Online
Great request! I know I've used the map to avoid all players because most of them want to kill you. You can't even loot players once they're dead, so why bother killing them when you don't need to? Just to be arseholes, I guess. -
Red Dead Online: Your Feedback/Questions/Answers

The Single Player Ultimate Edition horses are an Ardennes and something else, can't remember but they definitely don't give you an Arabian in Single Player. Your SP horses are separate from the MP horses. In MP, I got an Arabian and again, something else but it SURE beats the "Skinny Nag" you start out with hahahaha, luckily soon after starting you get a from a mission which too is miles better than the Skinny Nag -
Sign me up! Excellent lead-in!

Red Dead Online: Your Feedback/Questions/Answers
Moosh89 replied to Moosh89's topic in Red Dead Online
Nope, so I came and posted here, hoping someone else could figure it out. At the very least I can warn others not to bother hunting/getting pelts until it is figured out. I haven't tried to see if I can make a campfire to cook yet, so not sure if my Big Game meat is useless or not. -
Obligatory "Post your Creature-I mean Character" thread, anyone? Man, I was appalled when I saw the default "Granny" offered to me. I tried my best to make her look like "sort of" Me at the ripe age of 29, but daaamn, there's some Neanderthal-looking ladies options. And no option to pick separate eyebrows or eye colours? Your eyebrows are tied to the brow bone width, and even the "Narrow" option has a massively round head at the top. Pic incoming of my completed Character... If you visit a Barber, you can get nicer hair styles and not look like you fell out of the hayloft. I got excited to see "Dentistry" offered at the Barber, so I was gonna get me some pearly whites instead of my piss-brown "Chompers" but NOOOPE, you can only choose the exact same options you first get, except the really nasty ones are super expensive!

Just got finished my first few hours in RDO. I quickly discovered that a lot of players WILL attempt to mess up your active missions such as escorting a caravan or delivering a supply wagon, so don't count on any "noob-truce" going on lol. I have only done two or three missions because getting headshotted out of the wagon gets old super quick. I thought maybe if I just went straight to Horley in that I could make some money further away from the starting zone. I ended up getting jumped by a pack of 4 wolves and a cougar in my travels. I killed them and skinned them, threw the skins on my Ultimate Edition Arabian. I rode to to sell the hides. I went to the General Store, but you can't sell/no option to sell, only Browse the Catalogue. I hustled over to the Butcher, I can sell, but not any items (like meat, hides, wolf hearts). I went down to to the Fence, but the Fence only buys valuables like Jewelry. I looked for a Trapper on the map, but didn't see any. I went back to the General Store/Butcher, thinking maybe I had to physically hand the hides over from my horse. I got there but I couldn't grab the hides from his back. I could access Horse Cargo, which listed my hides but all I could do was Discard/Discard All. I went to the Stable to see if I could afford Horse Insurance yet, which auto-revives your horse if it becomes critically injured. (I ain't about to permanently lose my Ultimate Edition Arabian) but NOPE, Horse Insurance is 5 Gold. I have 0.21 Gold... So I've been trying to keep a Horse Reviver on me, I already used one when my horse Swan-Dive!-ed off a cliff while I was chasing my stolen supply wagon from another player during a mission, so I bought another at the Stable. I step out of the Stable, ALL my pelts are gone! ("Fffff-*******k!") Got frustrated so I decided to try out some racing. Pretty fun, sort of reminds me of Mario Kart with the ruthlessness and weapon pickups lol. Taking a break now. How'd your first session go?

Hey, I've replied to your private message...

No idea, but I had a similar "WTF?" moment last night... I was on "An American Pastoral Scene" and after the mission ended and I was just mounting up to leave the river, there was a "red eye" witness, so I rode up to him, and roped him off his horse. I dismounted and when I approached him, it gave the option to hogtie him. I figured I'd get to intimidate him, then cut him loose, but as soon as I hogtied him, it was like he somehow still notified the law, despite laying on his belly on the river bank. "WANTED", thankfully the mission auto-equips the bandana mask, so I wasn't named, but I still had to hightail it out of there, nearly got spotted by the Marshalls but the WANTED soon faded.

So I quit dicking around and pestering in camp. I did Micah's "An American Pastoral Scene" and I went back to camp, nothing. I went right over to John sitting under the tree and expected to be locked into "Pouring Forth Oil IV" but he was literally like: And then Abigail popped up. If I would have known, I would have talked to John WEEKS ago lol Got my fishing pole

Isn't there some timed content specific for PS4? Probably why

lol, wait until you donate $9.50 to the tithing box, find your first (perfect) rat carcass and donate it for "provisions" (So that's what the secret ingredient in Pearson's stew is!) only to have Dutch come at you the next day about "not contributing to the box - WHY HAVE YOU STOPPED WORKING FOR US, MY SON?!" Ingrate! I donated a perfect rat! (heehee), I stopped by the tithing box and donated another $20. "That's my boy!" I hear Dutch cheer in the background...

I'm at the tail-end of chapter 2, I've done the wood chopping, hay bales, food sacks and the water bucket in a day and I haven't seen any material rewards yet. Could I be screwing up the water bucket? I notice there's 3 points to fill once you pick it up by the hitching posts but as soon as I fill one point, Arthur sets the bucket down. Are there more buckets? You get dead eye experience and positive honor, as well as unique dialogue from gang/camp members

OK, just had a 3 hour session... I stuck around camp from 12:35PM in game time until 12:35PM the next day. I went to bed after 8:35PM and after Jack and Abigail went to bed. I slept until morning. I hounded everyone (but managed to pick up Mary-Beth's Fountain Pen request and Javier's Oleander request), did chores both days, left, (after the 24 in game hours) and came back several times and Abigail still won't let me go fishing. Between my next two available missions, John with "Pouring Forth Oil IV" and Micah's "An American Pastoral Scene", which do you recommend I do first to get it to spawn? I have done (in no particular order): (Spoiler filter is simply mission titles for Chapter 2) ...So that leaves me at 13/18 missions completed for Chapter 2. Something funny happened though, I uploaded the clip to YouTube as well as streamed it. I managed to accidentally kill and "catch" my first fish, without a fishing rod! 😂

Thanks for the suggestions. I believe my honour is Level 5 or 6 (I've been wearing my white hat ) so hopefully it appears soon.

You need to reach Javier near Blackwater to advance the story, but the game does a horrible job of guiding you to him safely. Open your map and you'll see a longer strip of land that is not red to the East of Javier. place your waypoint on the end of this strip and you can then cross the shallow water to Javier into the wanted territory.

Hey, I've done Pouring Forth Oil I (II and III) and the next missions I have available to me are Pouring Forth Oil IV and An American Pastoral Scene. I haven't had the marker for A Fisher of Men show up and whenever I actually find Abigail in camp, she only responds to my greeting. What am I missing?
