You need to feed, give medicine or stamina tonics. While on or near your horse, hold L1/LB, press R1/RB to tab over to "Horse" and move the right stick to the Left (9:00) (and while holding L1/LB and the Right stick to the Left you can tab through available feeds using L2/R2/LT/RT) and release L1/LB to feed your horse your selection. I like to use Hay or Wild Carrots as they give large core boosts to both Stamina and Health. The same methods apply to Stamina and Health/Medicine "tonics" at 11:00, 12:00 and 1:00 on the radial menu.

If it had the same mechanics from RDR2 such as the deeper horse bonding, deeper hunting/fishing, NPC interactions, etc then YES. I'm only on Chapter 2 (2 missions left until Chapter 3) but there's noticeably a lack of random duels like the first one had (if my memory serves me correctly) and I really miss Liars Dice and Horseshoes lol

"Do you trust me?" - Roanoke area Stranger
Moosh89 replied to Moosh89's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
My encounter sounds like the same NPC, just different camp setup -
https://www.rdr2.org/guides/secret-hats-locations-guide/ Just found this guide on the site. I've only skimmed it but I've noticed some inaccuracies. It states that "Stolen Hats" cannot be added to your inventory. That is wrong, once you pick up a stolen secret hat and it lists the name on the right side, you can find it in your wardrobe by going to Hats, pressing L1/R1 on PS4, LB/RB on Xbox One to navigate between Found, Stolen, Owned and Crafted tabs. Also, the Conductor hat, which still is quite rare can be found on NPCs driving stagecoach type wagons throughout the world - not solely on postal/train clerks as the guide states.

If you notice what appears to be white "foam" around the saddle area and chest, that is actually sweat, particularly if your horse is overworked, such as a long distance of galloping. No doubt lack of feed would increase this if your horse isn't "fit" (perfect condition). The same is true for real horses, I'm always amazed when I see my horse foamed up, so much realism in this game. In game, I'll usually take the saddle off my horse for a bit and brush him, and feed him. I doubt removing the saddle does anything outside of switching horses, but I like to think it feels nicer for him lol

True, but the OP said they spawned this horse using the "Run! Run! Run!" race horse cheat, not by exploring the Murfee Brood areas

Paid my Bounty..Twice.. Still wanted...
Moosh89 replied to AltMosquitto4444's question in Questions & Answers
If you're referring to Blackwater area and anything south/west, that is working as intended. Being wanted on that portion of the map is story related up until a certain point when you are free to explore that area -
I was exploring the Roanoke region when I happened upon a campsite just up on a small ridge by the roadside. I approached when I saw a well spoken traveler at a fairly intricate trapping camp. He had several rabbits strung up (which I could cut down if I wanted) and a few hides stretched out. We started chatting when he asked me if I could trust him. I responded positively when he went into a story of meeting different types of people and how his instincts reacted. He trusted me well enough, despite noting I very well may be a thief and a murderer. He asked me if I had ever heard of... He warned me to stay away. Of course I knew about it, I've read many posts and my brother experienced it too. I haven't checked it out yet but I'm curious if my encounter will be different now. Thought it was neat, anyway,

I'm still in Chapter 2 just before "The Sheep and Goats" mission and when I returned to camp and tied my horse to the right hitching post by the wagon with the hay, corn and rifles, On second thought, there really is something to this...

My brother and I were hunting the panther the other day, both trying to get the Legend of the East satchel. He apparently got killed by one a few times before he managed to get one perfect specimen, but he didn't skin it, he donated it to Pearson whole (like a dummy) so he had to do it again lol! He seemed to find them easier than me. He found that killing boars and deer and piling them up with bait seemed to help, but I was trying the exact same thing and I had nothing but grief. We decided that particular theory must have been coincidence in his favour. For me, I'd drop potent predator bait all over near Old Harry's Fen south of Braithwaite's, even exactly where the Florida Panther sketch appears on the map and most of the time, damn 3 star boars would come in and eat my bait, one other time a 3 star rattlesnake. (My brother apparently got bitten by a few snakes on his game). I must have gotten lucky because I never did get killed by the 3 or 4 panthers I killed before I got my 3 star one. I always had the drop on them (Cover Scent and Eagle Eye). I had enough time to "Study" all of them except the first one I killed (I got too excited lol). I had to Study them multiple times before it stopped saying "Big Cat" and showed me their quality. It also took me until my last panther for the sketch to appear on my map.

MISSION HELP, John Marston (The Sheep and the Goats)
Moosh89 replied to JDPerry_14's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
At night in the game, John's icon moves to the smaller saloon - maybe try to initiate it there instead of the stockyard *Edit - just reread last post... I'm out of ideas. I hope mine isn't bugged because that is my only next mission -
Noooo, really?? I've been avoiding the swamp at night and only pass through it during the day...

I was googling and YouTubing about different unique items/easter eggs and came across this (long) video of somebody exploring the "Devil's Cabin" easter egg: It sounds like somewhere there are other people who have investigated this. I'm curious if there will be more developments uncovered (either still hidden or added later via DLC). Personally, I'm on my first playthrough (high honour) and am at the end of Chapter 2 - I saved Jimmy and I still have the pen he gives you. It seems so odd that you get a pen which is unique, I'm wondering if it fits into this somehow. Discuss

I was playing tonight and on my way to Blackwater from Strawberry I had a 2 star cougar spawn here just west of Blackwater, as soon as I crossed the river going South. I shot it in the head with one shot and skinned it, threw both skin and carcass on my horse and thought about going to Blackwater's butcher since it was closer. I decided to go back to Strawberry instead because Blackwater was swarming in pink dots. I sold the skin and carcass, I think the skin was $2 or $3 but the Good Cougar Carcass was $8.10 (cha-ching!) I went back toward Blackwater and as soon as I reached that exact same spot, POOF, another cougar spawned! This time it was only 1 star. It jumped me but I managed to throw it off and kill it. I skinned it and decided this might be a good spot to farm them. I made note of the current time, it was about 3:45AM, so the first time must have been around 11PM-12AM. I decided to go to Blackwater since it was quiet finally and I just got half way there from this spot and another player rode by me and killed me. When I respawned and called my horse, both the pelt and carcass were gone. I suspect he stole them. I'm posting this here for others to test this area because I won't get to play anymore this weekend

Actually no, I use Auto-Aim because it makes it easier due to my physical disabilities and it's people like you that make the case for games to include Auto-Aim as an accessibility feature fall short of delivering to include gamers like me. Your attitude and hunger for attention is shameful and embarrassing. Congrats because the only attention you're getting here is negative attention. I'm enjoying reading your nonsense and awaiting more roasts on you from other members... it keeps me warm on this brisk December afternoon

This child is obviously not going to contribute anything useful to this forum (except the lols) and instead crow about how 1337 he is and offer up his house (which he likely doesn't own). I say we string him up by the feet and let the crows peck at him... or ban him. Dealer's choice.

I want to steal a chuckwagon with no tarp and fill it with pelts and deer carcasses from this area to see if it would work - but at the current state of no anonymity, I don't want to advertise "PERSON HUNTING MAKING A LOT OF MONEY WITH A SLOW AND STEALABLE WAGON!!" to everyone looking on their map so I'm waiting for invite only lobbies
