  1. I'm currently level 31, on my second character since my first one was ugly. She was level 11 when I deleted her. I started this one around November 30th, and I play a few times a week for 3 hours or so each time. I was gunning for level 23 to get the Hungarian Halfbred, but due to my Ultimate Edition horses I needed to save up $630 to afford it and a new stall. I finally just got it last night before I logged off at level 31 hahaha. I have about 40 gold bars currently. I prefer hunting, doing jewelry runs, and picking herbs. Once in awhile I will pick up a stranger mission if nobody appears close by. I clear hideouts as I notice them. Sometimes I do PvP if a daily requires it.
  2. A tiny "disorganized hamlet" in rural northern Saskatchewan, Canada
  3. I forgot another one that gets me nearly every time. When I'm galloping along a road and come up on an NPC rider coming toward me, often I'll pull right to give them plenty room but JUST as I get beside them, they jerk to their left and their horse's head is essentially a brick wall to my horse. We spill over and usually if that NPC has a companion rider, I get blasted by a repeating shotgun before I can get up lol.
  4. Just thought I'd make a thread for weird things we've noticed while playing. To see if anyone else has come across the same things or can explain if they know. Please add your own instances too and maybe we can figure out if it's time to report these to Rockstar. For example, some daily challenges require you to pick "x" amount of certain herbs, but often you need to pick more than required to fulfill the challenge requirements for those 10 gold nuggets. However as another user pointed out, picking the herbs too quickly causes the count to get messed up. Conclusion: This likely is a bug, but there's a workaround until it's fixed. So, some things I've noticed are: - Wagons/carts with dead drivers slumped over, usually in triples. Often in towns like Valentine by the butcher, but sometimes along roads too. - A similar instance to the last one, Wagons/carts driving leisurely with no/invisible drivers. - Farms/ranches with missing animals, or just very few animals in the world in general. Today's challenges asked me to skin 2 roosters and kill some pheasants. Most the time farms like Emerald Ranch or McFarlane's Ranch had no animals, or suddenly there were no wild birds where there is generally areas teeming with birds. I tried at different times of day but the only way to fix it I found was to load into a new free roam session. Then 20 minutes or so later, the same thing would happen.
  5. Oh man, did anyone find out how to replicate that? It randomly happened to me and my brother a bit better than a month ago, and we couldn't believe it. We had a blast and secretly hoped it was a posse hunting perk or something but we noticed it behaved more like a glitch. I made a thread and video about it then. Since we didn't know how we had it happen I hope we don't get penalized for it later. EDIT: So watching some of the new videos on YouTube, That glitch isn't the same as what we had happening back on February 6th. That new glitch needs a patch quickly because that is definitely cheating. The one that happened to us was strange, but rewarding as it made us work smarter to hunt and track many 3 star animals. I'd rather see it as an ability card perk or something.
  6. Does dragging a 3 star animal devalue/damage it?
  7. That makes total sense, thanks for pointing that out! I logged in today and had the same challenge, I had picked 6 before it registered.
  8. I still huffed it from Heartland Overflow down to Rhodes butcher with a 3 star bison pelt and my horse following with another. I had to go to Rhodes because Valentine was a sea of red dots. I wish you could take multiple horses from the stable. Once they add wagons and thus a reason for Draft horses to work proper, I sure hope they make it so you can stow carcasses and pelts in them. But yep, I don't get why you can't consume items while carrying anymore. The walking speed nerf I'd be fine with. but I do wish you could fast-walk or jog while leading your horse around.
  9. Yep, some challenges bug out making you have to get more than required
  10. Another thing I noticed they changed was your ability to walk and carry things like large pelts. Previously you could consume items while shouldering a pelt or animal which I did lots, I'd chew some cocaine gum while I carried an extra 3 star carcass or pelt to the nearest butcher. I also noticed they severely nerfed the walking speed while carrying something, which sucks. Absolutely no reason for this as it wasn't "cheesing" the system. They're making things unnecessarily hard.
  11. Is there a better way to track your "weapon familiarity" with certain guns? It's my limited understanding that with time and use you can become more efficient at certain weapons, but I'd like to know how much killing or headshots I need to start getting benefits. I've finally noticed a light boost in my fire rate for the Lancaster repeater (I think...) which I've been using exclusively in hideouts and some PvP modes. I'd like to get better with my revolvers but I like actually SEEING my progress.
  12. After a few days of exploring, I think I've found all of the jewelry spawns in Online. I think I've hit every location across the entire map but please let me know if I've missed any. I haven't found any jewelry past Blackwater which is odd. General rule, Loot everything in these marked locations and you will find it. (Unless somebody has beat you to it) - Jewelry items are random. Example: you might get a ring, bracelet, necklace, or 2 earrings from the same "box" in multiple tries. - Some locations have 2 jewelry spawns ("Hanging Dog Ranch", "Painted Sky", "Martha's Swain")
  13. Apologies if this has been covered in another thread but it really bugs me that currently we can't sell goods to the General Store in Online. In my quest to find all the jewelry spawns throughout the map, I've hit some killer hauls fairly quickly so I'm well stocked on dry goods, spirits, tobacco, tonics, and canned goods. I've even maxed out quite a few items. I get that some items would be unreasonable to sell such as opened liquors or tonics but if we can combine opened items to create full items, then sell them, that may make it more worthwhile to carry around. Sure I could just use the items but it would benefit my playstyle more to have a few cents in my roll of cash. Saving up for those extra horse stalls ain't cheap! Just thought I would get the boards opinions before I put in the effort to make a formal suggestion
  14. Ahhhh F***... So let me begin by saying I found a bug and diligently reported it to Rockstar. The bug is in the house west of Van Horn where you find the "strange creature" in Story mode. In Online free roam, there's a file cabinet you can loot and in one of the drawers is apparently a Pocket Watch you can take, yet when you take it, the animation of grabbing it and putting it in your inventory plays but it never registers as collected on the right side of the screen or gets added to your inventory. I had to bypass the over-eager "Rockstar expert" Dave who didn't provide any help whatsoever and request that my ticket be forwarded to a Rockstar Support rep. I got a reply a few hours later telling me to try clearing my cache. I did so, but now I'm wishing I didn't even bother. I can't connect, I get two back-to-back errors. The first set were: ALERT You have been disconnected from Red Dead Online because the connection to Rockstar game services was lost [Error: 0x10001022] ALERT Unable to connect to Rockstar game services at this time. Please try again later. [Error: 0x99360000] All other times after (up to 3 or more) I received these back-to-back errors: ALERT You have been disconnected from Red Dead Online because the connection to Rockstar game services was lost [Error: 0x30005001] ALERT Unable to connect to Rockstar game services at this time. Please try again later. [Error: 0x99360000] I was/am Level 29 and now I'm terrified I'll have to restart 😓 I responded to my support ticket but figured I'd google diagnose in the meantime... #WebMD *EDIT* I waited nearly an hour on the Online Beta screen and hit X to play again and it finally connected me, phew! Bug is still there though
  15. I wondered about this too but I'm hoping it means that maybe we can have multiple characters like GTA: Online. I have a few movie characters I wouldn't mind making
  16. I'm currently working on mapping Jewelry spawns. I'll post when I'm done but for now: Blackwater Saloon - Upstairs in a side table drawer in the Gentlemen's lounge: 1 Jewelry Hanging Dog Ranch - Main house in a cabinet by the stairs: 2 Jewelry Adler's Ranch - On a nightstand next to the bed: 1 Jewelry Martha's Swain - In the bedroom in/on the nightstand; In a nightstand in the main room: 2 Jewelry That should be sufficient for now if anyone has the "Sell 5 items to a Fence" daily challenge
  17. Same here, second character and I've never found a treasure map in a hideout. I check all crates and boxes and loot all enemies, no maps ever
  18. I've edited my previous post with the items I looted from those 5 locations. They should be similar or the same with the exception of WHICH jewelry items and if it has a Hideout spawned in (if applicable)

  20. I went here yesterday (March 13) and there were no lootboxes to be looted. Any other current jewellery/valuable spawns in RDO?
  21. No fixes that I can tell, my horse bonding still resets. I KNOW it's resetting because I can"t use L3 to regenerate max stamina like you can at level 4 bonding, and I've also reached bonding level 2 again. The new mode is cool but really nothing special, certainly not special enough to be dripfed. The limited time clothing is painfully dumb. It's clearly there to make people impulse buy as nobody knows for sure when a particular item will come around again. Really disappointed overall. They need to stop with these weak weekly updates and give us one good monthly update. Keep the 2xp weeks every few weeks at random.
  22. That is... terrifying...
  23. YES!! This just hit me yesterday that it sucks we can't gift items of lower worth such as ammo, tonics and food. I've actually ran out of shotgun ammo out in the field awhile back and had to switch to a repeater while being harassed by a posse. I wished then that my brother could gift me some shells so I didn't have to return to camp or a town to get more. I'll be adding that as a feature request, along with some others.
  24. Don't forget that any challenge that requires you to win x amount of games "in a row" that you can simply get up from the table when you're about to lose and rejoin, leaving your win streak intact. NOTE you can't exit the game or save, it must be done in the same play session.
  25. Yeah, for real definitely circa 1998 instead of 1898... I nearly choked on air when I saw this monstrosity! Give it a few weeks and this game will be full of lobbies of this look
