  1. oooooh, NEVER buy hay or store bought carrots. Wild Carrots, Oatcakes and Apples are plentiful in the wild and FREE. Plus you can get the Horse Meal pamphlet for those sweet gold cores (but it might use Hay, in that case that's the only time you should get it) "Haha'ing" because it's true, not because you're on Xbox lol
  2. I'm the opposite, I can never seem to get more than $400, but I'm not a super competitive player either. I like my clothing options and I've taken a shine to decorating certain guns in my usual loadout. I'd love to get some recipe pamphlets but ranging from $350 to $500+ it hurts, plus I'm still experimenting with ability cards. My next large purchase will be the Dark Bay Turkoman at $925. The spoils from these gifts will definitely help
  3. I see any cash or gold as an advantage, but that's just me. Sure somebody could just earn it by playing but we are being given it for logging in. If it were something cosmetic like a piece of clothing, or an emote that was exclusive but added no gameplay benefit I think it would be better/more fair. Not complaining, just saying how I feel. I'm glad I have PS+ LOL One of my last treasures was STACKED with like $195 RDO$ and 1.98 Gold!
  4. No problem, I just pasted the PS Blog headline. As a PS+ member I still can't help but feel bad for Xbox players... seems like a bigger advantage with having gold and cash instead of cosmetic only items.
  5. https://blog.us.playstation.com/2019/06/07/monthly-benefits-for-playstation-plus-members-in-red-dead-online/? Collect special awards like treasure maps to hunt down Gold Nuggets, Cash, and other loot. R*Q PlayStation players have already enjoyed a host of exclusive benefits for playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online including early access to weapons, horses, clothing, Showdown Modes and more. We’re excited to share that in addition to these ongoing benefits, Red Dead Online players with a PlayStation Plus membership will receive special awards each month. Starting June 10, all players with PlayStation Plus that play Red Dead Online by July 8 on PS4 will get three free Treasure Maps. The award will be sent to you within 24 hours of your first play session. Visit the Post Office or your Camp’s Lockbox to retrieve the Treasure Maps and then use your Satchel to open them up. The Treasure Map will reveal a location on your Map to explore, ride out to the area and use Eagle Eye to search for your rewards, which could include Gold Nuggets, Cash, Ammo, Tonics, and Crafting Pamphlets. 6. This issue is STILL alive and well lol. Getting reeeeal tired of it. Luckily the free Andalusian is a motherfugging TANK and shook this off lol
  7. THIIIIIS!! The female ponytails are hideous. No straight hair ponytails, just curly hair and they both have a giant hair-part right down the middle of the head. For Singleplayer, my Arthur has the swept back style with fading on the sides and set to the shortest or next length (depending how often I take him to the barber). I can't see them adding hair growth to Online especially since they do charge Gold bars for some hair styles, it would be frustrating to constantly spend RDO$ or Gold to maintain a certain look. But there's absolutely no reason why they can't add the length adjustments to choose from.
  8. Markers/pins stay on the map across sessions, even between logging in or out. There's a limit to how many you can set, I believe it is 15. I wish we could change the colours of the pins to distinguish between them.
  9. I get what you mean. There is tons of potential to have things tastefully done in a respectable way, and I don't think anybody is worried that Rockstar would foul it (as pointed out by their perfect execution of calling attention to it in the story without showing it) but unfortunately there's a portion of the playerbase that will abuse it like they have other minorities and the suffragettes already available in the game. If they add things Indigenous themed items and cosmetics, I'd probably purchase them, but that fear of seeing it exploited by certain players is still very much there, so on the other hand, I'll be fine if they don't bother adding it. I really would love some high honour stranger missions from Wapiti though, like I said earlier. I can see you're passionate about the culture (it really is a beautiful thing and not all the "savagery" that early western depictions portrayed) so you might be interested in this new game in development called "This Land is My Land". It focuses on the "other side" (Indigenous lifestyle) as the white people moved in. They just released their newest trailer a week ago: Gameplay: Website: https://www.thislandmyland.com/
  10. That's a specific vest from the Blackrose Bounty Hunter outfit I think. If you have that outfit you can individually equip items from it in other custom outfits.
  11. Just throwing this out there - I noticed when I try to join a friend's server, "Join Game" is always greyed out, but if I wait for a few seconds, it becomes available. Perhaps the Posse Versus menu has a similar delay? Note - I have no experience yet with the Posse Versus menu.
  12. On topic - I was just herb picking in Tall Trees around Manzanita Post when I received an invite to a Free Roam event called "Hunt the Leader". I got excited when I saw "Hunt..." thinking I finally got lucky with the new Wildlife Hunting free roam event so I accepted it to only find it was an assassination of a posse leader, which of course was a posse of real players. It gave me 5 minutes to get from Tall Trees to MacFarlane Ranch where there was the 4-5 strong posse, with the leader holed up in a building. They wrecked me obviously since I couldn't take that many and the area is fairly open. 40 seconds from ending I got disconnected lol. I wanted to see if I stopped pushing after the timer ran out if they'd leave me be as a "good game" gesture lol.
  13. I've started trying out new cards, previously I exclusively used Paint it Black but as discussed it isn't ideal for hunting, particularly groups of animals I want to cleanly kill before they all bugger off once I start shooting. I picked Quite an Inspiration as I assumed it would help me in PVP or PVE engagements as well as my posse members, but I also assumed I'd be able to mark targets with R1 before shooting like later levels of Deadeye in Singleplayer, but it doesn't - or rather I can't figure out how to. Also there's still the bug where you get locked in Deadeye, at least while using Quite an Inspiration. I just reached Deadeye Level 10 in Multiplayer and it says I can do "trick shots and flourishes" but I had no idea that trick shots existed and I don't know how to do it. I've never gotten flourishes to work while holstering in Multiplayer. In Singleplayer you double tap R1.
  14. Definitely a logical step. Doesn't matter how old the discussion is, if you have something new to ask or add, I'd rather see a necrobump than yet another thread on the same issue. It shows the history of said issue. +1 reputation for you
  15. By that, I meant those who would exploit the additions such as depicting genocide on players dressed in traditional looking cosmetics in which that act itself would be poor taste, definitely not "adding it would be poor taste" As a person with an indigenous background (I have full Metis status in my province, my maternal grandmother was full treaty) I appreciate what Rockstar did with the Natives in the singleplayer story, where they did not gloss over the terrible things that happened as depicted in stories of Fort Riggs without actually showing it, and the fact that you could not access weapons while on the Wapiti reservation. I still think that adding high honor only missions where you can go hunting, fishing or herb gathering for the Natives would be cool, or even fighting off attackers from attacking the reservation. As much as I think that having war paint on your face or your horse would be cool, I'm just as cool if its not there.
  16. Oh man, I spent $5 on this photo (ouch!) but I don't regret it HAHAHA I just wish we could also pose with the poses from Singleplayer with the props (beer, cigarette, coffee, gun)
  17. While I don't think there was any ill intent from the OP, I can't help but agree that this could be exploited in poor taste. Maybe customizations can be off the table but open up some honorable missions like helping Wapiti or gathering herbs/hunting and fishing could be cool
  18. Yeah, I didn't even think about it being a consumable item. Technically your player already has matches as they light tobacco products but what about purchasing bundles of kindling? Or being able to "pick" kindling from dead trees? That would be perfect!
  19. Exactly my point. If I'm hunting or herb picking and I get full, I'd like to be able to start a fire to craft tonics, brew coffee and cook meats, or even rest to refill my cores all the while knowing that my flame in the distance is vulnerable to other players spotting it, knowing my campfire doesn't have the same safety bubble as my full camp. Maybe another weary player might see it and come craft or rest and chat? Maybe they'll just murder me and I'll know better than to make a fire in the dark out in the open next time lol I've approached other players empty camps before and thought about borrowing their fire but I worried they might see me as an intruder and shoot me if they happened to come back
  20. It would also be nice to have a tinderbox as a Kit item to make a small campfire anywhere to craft items that you can't with the pestle/mortar or even to rest at instead of calling in a full on camp.
  21. I'm so glad you mentioned this, as I was certain I noticed that Blued Steel looked more black than Blackened Steel on some guns, whereas Blackened Steel almost looks more brownish. Definitely going to experiment with this more now. By the way, does anybody else think that we should be able to keep certain tints on areas we've previously purchased if we decide to switch and then revert back? Example: I buy Silver areas throughout my revolver with Ivory grips, but then I decide to splurge on Gold and Ebony grips. I decide Gold is a bit too gaudy for my current look so I revert back to my already purchased Silver, instead of paying 3 gold bars x5 again. Let's also assume I paid real money for these gold bars, just to prove a point.
  22. I wish could buy more than 1 longarm and more than 2 handguns of the same weapon. I'd be OK with the expense of metals then if I could have different looks on different guns depending on my mood/outfit. I guess this is where a gunsafe/rifle cabinet would come in handy.
  23. You can wait for your posse to get online to try to break you out LOL
  24. I've edited my previous post so just bumping incase you didn't see my update...
  25. My letter showed up at Benedict Point post office immediately after finishing The Hanging of Tom Davies in Tumbleweed. If you replay that mission, maybe hang around the area a bit after and see if it shows up as a notification that you have a letter at Benedict Point waiting. Edit: Mine was DEFINITELY at Benedict Point because I thought it was super odd, but this guide says Blackwater and it does have the same icon that mine did at Benedict Point. Check your map thoroughly for this icon and if not, contact Support. Sorry I can't help you more... https://gamewith.net/red-dead-redemption2/article/show/9135
