Yesterday I was having "a day" - my PC which I rely on has been acting up so I need to start thinking on getting a new one built... Been stressed out with that, add in severe anxiety and the tail end of my monthly "lady time"... There I was, just doing PVP for the stupid dailies... Plunder's the mode. An enemy player runs right up on me so I shoot, she survives, she shoots, somehow I survive and I counter with another shot, this time to her face. She dies. Suddenly I hear her on her mic "Some purple bitch with a Lancaster just got me! She's right next to you!" (I was actually on the turquoise team, she was purple, her buddy was yellow) I was temporarily taken aback in my weakened state... Like, "What did I ever do to you? I'm just playing the game... Who hurt you??"... Then my "bad bitch" side was like "Bitch - at least I know my colours!" but I didn't have my mic on hahaha Ended up on the same team as her the very next round. Turns out she was all talk. I was consistently ahead of her and I hate PVP. Her and her buddies left soon after lol.

Double Action was my go to revolver in RDO1 so first thing I did was buy two of them in RDO2. I don't think I ever fully got familiar with them by the time the LeMats dropped into the game. I bought those and history had been recorded. Love those LeMats! I tend to only draw one at a time though so I can get that 'fan-action' going. I should try to switch back to the Doubles for a week or so. Just to familiarize myself with them. I bought one Schofield but it feels like a damn blunderbus its so slow but powerful LOL

This edition of the Newswire was the leftover stock from last week, they didn't give them all out because the majority of players stopped playing 😂 I went for a medical trip last week. I hoped to remote play to keep my x2.5 Daily streak Gold multiplier active but the hotel WiFi wasn't fast enough so I'm back down to .20 Gold bonuses... I have to leave again on my next Day 27 streak (September 5)... My will is fading... 😢

A lot of streamers speculate on the 20th for the Summer update, but over on Reddit, a commenter speculated something (soul crushingly) reasonable... Basically: - Sometime this week (August 13-19) we will get a trailer for one of the Specialist roles - likely Bounty Hunter - Then next week (August 20-26) a trailer for another, probably Trader - Two weeks from now (August 27-September 2) a third trailer for Collector And sometime after that, the Summer Update. I'm going to add to this theory and say the week of September 3-9 we may get another preview/hype trailer for the updated mechanics followed by the actual Update September 10th or 17th. Just set up Remote Play on my Xperia and PS4. Can't let my 42+ day streak die while I'm in the city for 4 days LOL Hopefully the Summer update doesn't drop on Tuesday cause my screen will be way too small to dig into it.

Definitely agree. I'm not bad at free aim as I prefer FPSs but damn, I can't free aim for **** in Red Dead. That's why I use aim assist, just to properly orient myself. Kudos to everyone who has mastered legit free aim in its current state though. I'll never be THAT good.

Yes, I forgot about Wildlands! That on the fly view switching was great. It was very satisfying to put targets down in less than 3 accurate shots and then switch attention to the next. I'm excited too. A lot of stuff to chew on. I just hope we don't have a plethora of errors again like the Spring update introduced.

This. I feel like when I try to go into free aim, say in a race where aim assist is turned off, I could be looking straight at an enemy player in front of me, with them dead center on my screen and the second I hold L2 to aim, my gun is pointing down at the ground just above my horses head, or wildly off to either side and it's so slow to move the reticle on target. And why does our character stay in the slower walking speed for several seconds after we've stopped aiming?? It just feels extremely clunky or non-responsive. I even turned my look/aim sensitivity up. I'm so tempted to switch to First Person view for that movement speed but then I lose out on the field of view around me. A TPS that has free aim that feels amazing is the Uncharted series for PlayStation. If Rockstar can try to get it closer to that, I'd be soo happy.

Was watching one of my preferred RDR streamers (TagBackTV) talk about this update announcement. He brought up a cool question regarding our upcoming "canine companions" for the Trader role. He asked if we could possibly train our dogs, which makes HUGE sense to me considering the GTA V "Chop" minigames to train Franklin's dog. Then I thought "wouldn't it be amazing if your dog could retrieve animals (especially those damn pelicans and beavers) that are in deep water and are inaccessible?". I can't explain how absolutely infuriating it is to search for a damn beaver for 45 minutes just to see 3 or 4 of them swimming out in deep water just off the shore. Same with those stupid pelicans that fly over water or are perched on the dock posts at Quaker's Cove.

Question: Did someone once post that if you had a family member with Amazon Prime, you could link it to your Twitch to receive Twitch Prime?

Submit a Support ticket to Rockstar under "Missing In-game Item" for Red Dead Online with a link to the video. Also, I noticed the last two treasures I opened, I was able to pick the reward up, but it took over 1 minute to register my items as being received. K so I noticed something a little different related to this tonight. I had been making my way east to Thieves Landing to kill Del Lobos in stealth when I was ambushed by four wolves. I skinned them all but left the carcasses. Up ahead a short ways near Bonnie MacFarlane's ranch I noticed a lone blue dot and the edge of my radar lit up red. They triggered a pair of wolves too but the wolves came for me after the blueberry seemed AFK. I killed them both as clean as I could, one was Good, the other was Perfect. I threw one on my horse and shouldered the other and tried to find the player, I suspected they were at Bonnie's by now. They were nowhere to be found but as soon as I got right next to Bonnie on her porch, I dropped the Perfect wolf I was carrying automatically. I tried to pick it back up again but my character dropped it again. I skinned it but my character dropped the pelt. Couldn't pick it up either. I suspect in this case, its lingering code from the On the Hunt missions where you automatically drop carcasses/pelts upon approaching her. I tested it further with the wolf on my horse. I rode away a few yards and was able to carry it fine. I skinned it, kept the pelt on my horse and carried the carcass to Bonnie. My character dropped it once I got close.

I dunno about the rest of you guys, but my carrots from this care package are glitched so I always have 5 carrots, no matter how many I feed my horse - across multiple sessions (between log ons/offs). Haven't tried the oatcakes or hay because I had some before the care package added more.

Never heard of that before. If it truly was something like that, the pelt should fall to the ground, not disappear. I'd press Rockstar for a clearer explanation.

HAHA yeah, I came here to discuss this... I guess I shouldn't have felt spoiled with 3 treasure maps last month and asked for cosmetic items instead... they went ahead and listened and gave us an ugly offhand holster instead hahaha

Was just airing my opinion to an acquaintance/friend the other night, he was wearing the Varmint Hat, another great looking hat absolutely shattered by the hideous rat bone hatband lol. He seemed to definitely agree.

Bonnie McFarlane and Sadie Adler won't have to do the ol' spit-shine on their rifles for ages now that Gun Oil is free this week! (On a serious note, I'd like to see them doing different animations or even chores around their homesteads instead of sitting in one spot, cleaning their guns endlessly)

My brother and I had this problem weeks ago. We did a story mission and when we loaded back into Free Roam it was fixed.

New suggestion to float before I submit: Hatbands - Take your favourite hat and unlock a fancy new hatband or trinket (feathers, conchos, beads) for it. It would give a more personalized flair. My absolute favourite hat is the Diamondback Hat but the big whole snake as a hatband is absolutely hideous and "tacky", especially on the black one with a grey snake with beady red eyes. I ended up purchasing the female Dauphine outfit for its black Diamondback Hat variation with the pink snake (ugh) because it didn't have red eyes and it seemed like a darker shade of black. If I could get the Kennedy hatband on the Diamondback Hat, hooey! 😍

I wish they'd make Coats removable like Gloves or Hats. Especially if you have a kick-ass outfit that may be too hot/not warm enough for another area and for some unknown/unexpected reason you can't access your horse.
