  1. I believe it's a cheat code. Nice spot, I just met Flaco but I missed that!
  2. Doing chores around camp raises your honor. So far I'm at the first camp, so I'm able to chop wood, place hay bales for horses, move sacks of food to Pearsons wagon and refill the wash basin behind Pearson's wagon. You get some special dialogue from NPCs if they see you doing chores. They appear as small black dots on the minimap when you are close to them.
  3. If you have Gun Oil in your satchel, open your weapon wheel and highlight your desired gun, while highlighted press R3 to "maintain" and your view will focus on your gun where you can move it around, aim, change view and most importantly, clean!
  4. Here's one version on my Arthur, I keep his hair the same but change his clothes regularly. His hair is length 1-2 (depends on my mood) His facial hair is length Moustache 4, Chin/Chops 0 (or 1, whichever is minimum) Hair: Swept back - fade. I try to keep him using Pomade, but sometimes after a fist fight his hair gets all tousled lol Facial hair: Full style, Pennant
  5. I try to stay on the vague side now and ramble a bit before I unleash spoils within the filter... I highly commend the mods here for volunteering to dive into spoiler territory for the sake of others. Unfortunate that new members don't bother reading the rules. Maybe have a subforum meant for new people before letting them into the main forum. They must make one post within the subforum, say the Introductions forum where they also have to verify they've read the rules and give the answer to a question found in the middle of the rules before a mod unlocks their ability to post in the rest of the forum... Sounds complex but really it's not... I'm just super desperate to curb this from happening again lol
  6. Man, you're telling me... I ran into this eyes first, wham - no warning. Not even enough time to go "This looks suspicious...". Sooo miffed... Also a warning of the spoiler filter... Sometimes the filter doesn't load in to cover said spoilers right away, allowing you to continue reading once you've opened a thread... At least with my internet speed and Google Chrome.
  7. Thanks guys!
  8. Heads up forum. I'm going to ask a question in the spoiler filter about the endgame since sadly it was spoiled for me already. I advise you to back out now if you haven't finished the game because I can't guarantee the replying posters will filter their answers.
  9. And I'm a victim of the spoiler 😒😞 Mods, please act quick!
  10. So long as these aren't story spoilers, I WILL click to reveal (I have in this thread so far) because I absolutely HATE creepy/scary stuff and I'd rather be prepared to deal with/avoid any of them, so please, post pics, details, etc... #chickenshit
  11. You should be able to go to a post office (envelope icon) to pay off your bounty. I once stepped on the same dog twice with my horse lol

  13. The hidden comment above lists the reward ^^
  14. Hey everyone, my name is Melissa but everyone I know calls me by my childhood nickname of "Moosh". I recently turned 29 years old and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I am also physically disabled and use a power wheelchair. I've always been a big gamer, I'm the youngest of 5 kids and I mostly gamed with my brothers growing up. I live somewhat rural with my parents. Growing up, my Dad and sister had many horses, with both of them competing in local rodeo events, my Dad as a chariot and chuckwagon racer for many years and my sister as a chariot and barrel racer and recently roping or team roping. My Dad recently sold all of his horses and returned to his first obsession, motorcycles. It was getting to be too difficult to manage a rodeo career by himself as chuckwagon racing requires a large number of barn hands and relief drivers/holders. Back in 2009-2010 I was eagerly anticipating Red Dead Redemption. I was a regular member on the IGN RDR forums. The day my brother drove to our nearest EB Games/Gamestop store to pick up my preorder for me (a 1.5 hour drive one way), I had the game spoiled, 2 hours before I even got it in hand. I was pretty miffed. I played it for a week or so but it also felt really depressing and there was a lot of dark/creepiness to it, which bothered me. I ended up shelving the game for about 2 years before dusting it off and finally forcing myself to finish it. I was gutted since I waited for it with such enthusiasm and was severely let down. So when RDR2 started picking up steam in development, I was VERY cautious. So far, I haven't had it spoiled yet and I'm really enjoying it a lot! There's some creepiness here and there but the game seems much lighter in tone than RDR1 which is great. I'm really glad I found this forum as the IGN boards are dead, and there seems to be a very active effort to shield spoilers around here, which is a HUGE relief! I think I'll like it here...
  15. ... So turns out there IS something to this encounter! Click to reveal non-story spoiler I just found online: I'm totally going to knock his big ass out again! After I fill up on some lamb first! LOL
  16. I wish the map told you what drawn icons were what when hovering over them. Most of the animals are easy to distinguish but I have a hard time distinguishing the herbs/flowers. I remember in the first RDR you could purchase a herbalist map that highlighted herbs on the map and minimap, which was great. I wonder if I'll eventually be able to purchase one in this game? I'm currently midway through Chapter 2.
  17. I think the weapon wheel fists is meant simply to disarm yourself. If you select fists via the weapon wheel, to my knowledge, R2 doesn't enable you to punch, that is strictly circle. Your circle button may need to be cleaned as it triggers periodically while pressing triangle to dismount.
  18. Really? I need to try this!, I usually reach Level 1 bonding not long after taming them. The most I've sold a horse for was $5.20, I believe they were a Hungarian Halfbred and a Thoroughbred. Morgans, Kentucky Saddlers and Tennessee Walkers seem to be worth half as much. I have found Appaloosas and Nokotas in the wild but haven't tamed them yet.
  19. Don't know but I got the snake bitten guy who I later found sitting in front of the gunsmith shop in Valentine. I got to pick my free item (the pump action shotgun is what I chose) Then earlier today I was near the stables by the Lemoyne border, still in the chapter 2 area (just traveling around to uncover the map and scout hunting grounds) and I got the snake bitten guy again but as a different NPC, same dialogue, I gave him medicine again but I haven't seen him since to see if he gives me anything.
  20. My funny story is there's a regular "Stranger" NPC that often appears in the Saloon in Valentine (with the barber) who looks like a typical mountain man/trapper. He's a big boy too. He's always drunk and starts in on me and then starts a fight. First time, he kicked my ass, my screen flashes DEAD. I respawn outside down the street. Then another time I played, I see him in the bar again, this time he's standing at the bar. Same thing, he starts a fight and beats my ass to death. By this point, I'm thinking there's a reason this is happening, and I start thinking that if I beat him, something cool will happen... Another time I go there and there he is again! Same attitude, but this time I avoid him long enough to have a few meals of lamb at the bar in an effort to gain weight. After like 4 meals, I make my way over to his table by the barber chair. A fight ensues. He's rocking Arthur, suddenly Arthur unholsters my Volcanic Pistol and starts pistol-whipping this big brute into the shadow realm. I FINALLY BEAT HIM!... But nothing happens, except I get a wanted level. I leave the area for a minute or two. Then another time, I see him again! I March up to his table, thinking I had to have earned his respect, I greet him and the bastard wants to go for round 4! I promptly left before fists and pistol grips flew lol! Nothing cool happened, turns out he's just an ass hole Hahaha!
  21. I kept the starting Tennessee Walker horse. He looks like a Paint horse (I believe the stats call it "Mahogany" or something) but I named him Prince, because Prince was the name of our first horse when I was little and he was a Paint. My Dad got him from our neighbour for $40 and a bottle of whiskey - true story! He lived to be in his mid 30s! He was old when we got him, about 22 years old. My in-game version doesn't like when I shoot from his back lol.
