Don't watch the leaks! (Spoiler free info)

The game comes out tomorrow night. Yesterday, I watched maybe 10 minutes of the game total. Of course, I rewatched it over and over again for like an hour. I haven't seen any story missions, or seen any characters other than Arthur for that matter.

What I have seen is, again, 10 minutes of Arthur walking around a town in the early game. I saw him go into a gun store, stay at a hotel and take a bath. I also saw some of the people walking and working, and I saw some of the mountain views. Holy lord is this game immersive.

It was one of the first leaks. Luckily the Russian kid who posted it didn't put in any spoilers. All I have to say is that the game feels more like a movie than a video game. In 3rd person anyway. The camera angles coupled with Arthurs movements make it feel like a real person moving around in the world. I also noticed how fluidly small cutscenes integrate themselves as transitions. If you go into a bath you see a cutscene of  Arthur opening the door and getting in the bathtub -- and it's so fluid.

And the MUSIC! It's modern electronic, but made to sound western and it just fits in so... Fluidly. That's really the only word I can find for this world. You know it's a video game, but it feels like a real place. It's like nothing I've ever seen in a game before. I'm honestly really interested to see if this cinematic feeling stays throughout the game.

Either way, the leak got me hyped, but I saw a few thumbnails later on yesterday that felt way too spoilery, so I decided I'm gonna wait it out until tomorrow and avoid these leaks like the plague. I hear there are HOURS of gameplay out there now. The last thing I wanna do is watch a cooking video and find myself staring at a video title spoiling the end of the game. Stay cautious guys.

I’ve watched about 3 or 4 very short clips, no more than 30 seconds each. I did come across a video of him walking through the snowy mountains but I think it was of a mission so I quickly clicked off it (I am stronger than I thought!). I don’t mind short clips of non-spoiler gameplay but not missions.

I just saw that everyone is posting the first 20 mins of rdr2 gameplay today, along with reviews. I can’t believe who would want to watch this. After two years of waiting and the day before release, they choose to show the beginning to everyone? I just feel that they are ruining the experience for those who have waited to see it first for themselves. Also, I see that some YouTubers are posting a lot more than the beginning on youtube, it just seems kind of insulting to release all of this in-game footage the day before the game comes out. Definitely will be staying clear of all of this and seeing it all for myself tomorrow.

I have it all planned out:  I'm going to make Mrs. Creed one of my patented "Knock Out Juice" specials (basically an Irish Mule with about triple the Jameson in it), and then "go to the gas station so I don't have to in the morning"  at 20:50.  Oh, what just happens to be right next to the gas station?  My local GameStop, which will be releasing the game to all preorder customers at 21:00 tonight.  By the time I get home, Mrs. Creed will be asleep, and I'll take a bottle of High West Rendezvous Rye into the Media Room, fire up the projector, and watch "The Magnificent Seven" (the real one, not that inadequate modern remake) while I wait for the install on my PS4.

Then, as I've already taken tomorrow off of work, I'll play until the sun comes up, take my kids to school, power nap, and play until I have to pick them up in the afternoon.

Honestly, I'm having trouble concentrating at work right now because of the anticipation.

Holy cow....  Even my trusted Twitter sources are coughing up more details than I want to know today.  Guess I will be staying away from all that until tonight.  I'm on the west coast of the U.S. so as long as there isn't a big a$$ day-one patch to download, I should be playing shortly after 9 PM.  .....which means I'll be able to get in at least 3-4 hours of gameplay in before I pass out for the night.

I don't understand it either. I guess the problem is the increase in the popularity of streaming. Early gameplay vids are so easily available now. Some people unfortunately can't help themselves but watch and will likely regret it later. I certainly will not be seeking out any such gameplay videos. In less than 24 hours time I will have finished work for the week and will be playing the game. After all the waiting, speculating, delays, its finally here! I still cannot quite believe it, i feel like i'm running on adrenaline at the moment i'm that excited!

I don't know who you are, but I love the way you think. It's complete BS that it doesn't go out to everybody at the same time.

Rockstar tried to contain it, but there is to many snakes giving the game out early.
