Definitely, especially the "hit three times in blackjack and win x3", do they realise the odds of that happening once are painfully low? never mind three times. If you're struggling with the dominoes one (win 3 games in a row) try and play the variation where the first to use all of their tiles wins, not only is much easier than the one at Saint Denis but it's usually heads up (vs 1 player). I was able to do it on my first attempt but RNG might not always be so kind. It's at one of the stations ( I think Emerald) but not 100% on that. The Best strategy is to try and keep as many options open to yourself and then as a secondary consideration try and remove your highest dotted dominoes when you can. For Example say you have one 1, two 2's, one 3, three 4's and four 5's, and you have the option to play either a 1 or a 5; play the 5 as using the 1 will lock you out of playing when 1's land on either side. As for the last one "win three hands of poker in a row" this one is also annoying, in reality this would be fairly simple but the AI is so painfully loose that successfully bluffing is nigh on impossible. The best strategy for this is not the actual best strategy for beating RD's poker, simply limp every hand (except maybe the top 8-10% of your range) then bet flop turn and river bluffing 100% of the time. Eventually you'll win three in a row. The reason we limp all of our range is to keep the pot small so we can bluff cheaper, you could also check some flops when you miss (especially multi-way) so we can bluff turn and river cheaper. If you get a really nutted hand and have the opportunity to knock some one out of the game do it! Even if it means overbetting all in on the river, the fewer number of players at the table the easier it will be to complete the challenge.

The game's logic just felt like it wanted to screw us over as much and as hard as possible. I eventually started doing something similar to what you suggested and it worked. Saltyballs
Yeah I actually play professionally so I was curious to see how competent the AI was and I have to say It's a real let down, I've seen the AI call down multi-way with A high on the wettest of board textures. Including a challenge that more or less requires successful bluffing to achieve (short of hitting strong hands three times in a row) and then build an AI that never folds just shows how little thought they put in to it. KRooKeD KRoW
The 3 games of dominoes is the only one I'm having trouble with. I haven't completed a lot of them yet, so I may just have not found others I'm struggling with. I tried the dominoes one a couple times, and kept getting screwed cuz the game doesn't let you pick which tile you want to pick up. Pretty sure RDR1 let you pick em. But I kept getting a lot of points in the first round (usually rounds end with less than 10 points in the peoples hands, so 30 points was a big win), then the next round someone gets more than the 60 points they need. RNG kept screwing me over so taking a break from that one. The rest I've come across are easy, just time consuming. The 3 hits in poker wasn't too bad since it's only 2 cent bets I was doing, just had to wait for those hands where you can hit 3 times and hope for the best. Of course, knowing how to play blackjack helps a lot, knowing when you can hit 3 times, and when to just play that hand to win. I'd imagine the 3 poker games in a row would be a lot easier than the dominoes, but that's because I actually know what I'm doing with poker, dominoes I'm still figuring out strategies and whatnot. I did have a little trouble with the horseman challenge to drag a person with your lasso 3300 feet, but then I tried going slowly (kept doing it full speed to finish quick, but he kept dying) and got it done no problem. The biggest problem with the Gambler ones is it's all based on luck/RNG (other than the 5 finger fillet ones, which do require a bit of skill). Like from the pile or from your set because you sure as heck can choose from your set.

I do not play. I mean I have in the past and I know HOW to play, but I don't do it that often. That said I had a decent time trying to beat these opponents personally. Maybe I'm just dumb or I suck, but playing poker is consistently fun for me because it feels authentic.
Poggy
Just managed to complete the final three gambling challenges. I'm gonna say they took about five hours - and I got very lucky. That was pretty annoying, given they are luck based.

Ya, sorry, should have clarified that, from the draw pile. Pretty sure Red Dead Redemption 1 let you choose which one you drew, now I tend to end up drawing the whole pile just to get to the one I would've drawn myself in the first place. That's crazy frustrating ha. Plus the NPC's snarky remarks don't help any haha
dropkickennedy
I believe I have only completed the Gambler and Sharpshooter challenges so far, but I must say, I like the Gambler gear the most out of all the reinforced equipment I've seen. That belt buckle 👌
Kormath
I"ve played many games of dominos at Emerald Station. Wonder if this will be like some other games as to when i get the challenge for dominos it will be harder to play/win than it is now. I guess i should start working on the gambling challenges and see. My record at Emerald Station is 4 game wins in a row. That's full games not hands, or rounds, or whatever you call it in dominos, 3 hands/rounds/whatever in a row is my best and i still lost the dang game. Saltyballs
I completed all of the challenges yesterday, now I'm doing the hunting requests. Hunting for woodpeckers is such a pain lol.

I had a hard time with the first one cuz I guess my rabbit would go bad while I was getting the squirrel, and would get to the post office and it wouldn't let me send anything. Finally got the squirrel first and went after the rabbit near Valentine and completed it. Interesting that the squirrel didn't go bad at all (or just takes a much longer time to spoil) but the rabbit spoiled rather quick.
Saltyballs
Yeah I did the same, basically had to do that one twice. If you're in the post game one of the legendary animals found in the West gives you a perk that prevents animals on horseback from spoiling, wish I'd gotten it sooner. Saltyballs
Literally just shot at a random bird and it was a woodpecker! Jesus that took hours. If anyone is struggling with this one go to the river southwest of Valentine, tonnes of small bird species perch on the rocks, including Sparrows, Bluejays, Robins, Woodpeckers and a few others. Limey77
For the 3 games of dominoes in a row there is an easy way to do it. Win 1 game and then simply stand up and leave any game you look like you’re going to lose. Then start a new game. As long as you don’t actually lose a game it keeps your streak going.
Poggy
I had some weird luck on the last 2 gambling challenges. On the dominoes one, I was playing in camp and it glitched so I had no opponent - obviously I won On the poker one, I won two hands against a full table, then on the third everyone just folded and I won straight away! This is why I normally have my varmint rifle on hand. I did the same thing, but I haven't gotten to that challenge yet lol This is the only reason I've spotted any birds. No way in hell would I be able to study them. I see movement and let the crazy auto aim take care of the rest.

Now about that, that works with poker too? Can I like win a game, exit the table / Save / try again? The challenge would be insanely easy IF I can get up and save before each try.
