Pony
Will we keep our character in the game when the beta is done and closed, and move it to the formal edition? It's quite grind to earn the money and level it up, so if the answer is NO, I should stop grind work and play it more casually. GarthAlgar
Rockstar made it seem it's likely all your progress will carry over, but NOT garunteed. Judging by the super high levels ive seen some players with, there's gonna be a LOT of backlash if the beta progress doesnt transfer.

Didn't they state in the patch notes that they might have to reset? Edit: Can't find anything, ignore me. Edited December 4, 2018 by Truth
YodaMan 3D
At this point, they are trapped between a rock and a hard place. Cause if you reset and players didn't know, huge backlash. If they don't then they allowed a bunch of glitch users cheat the system and got themselves set up really well for new players that won't stand a chance. Volt
Hope for the best, plan for the worst. I'm planning on a character wipe. So if that happens, then I won't be disappointed with having to start over in RDO. The beta RDO has been productive with learning how things work in it. What's the same with single player, and what's different. Does my control configuration work well against other players? Do I want to change it? That sort of thing.

Rockstar said the want to let us keep our characters, but will make us start over if people go to far with these XP and Money glitches.

Kean_1
They didn't say anything specific about resetting players due to exploits and glitches. ......simply that they may "in case of issues". However, they also provided another update earlier today on Twitter regarding resets to help temper what I believe was an overreaction to some news outlets to what was simply a CYA disclosure and some community remarks made on social media: Personally, I'm not going to worry about it. KRooKeD KRoW
If they're rolling out economy balance as one of the first major changes, I'd guess that they're hoping to not have to reset anything. If they do reset, I'll blame all the people using the exploits and glitches.

Poggy
I'd be very surprised if they reset everything. I can see them maybe banning some folk, or maybe resetting somethings (like gold or cash), but not everything. Especially given that the Beta period seems set to last quite a while.
