Thoughts over Writing in single-player games.

I'm having it clearer than ever that good Writing is of absolute importance to the quality of a single-player video game.

Recently, I've played West of Loathing, which has superb writing, then I've played RDR2. which makes hunting wild boars a huge relief from the boredom of that game's pathetic, useless writing.

West of Loathing is a much better game than RDR2, and there's a reason for it.

That's It! You say the writing in RDR2 is pathetic and useless. But offer nothing to support your "criticism."

The fact that you have offered nothing makes this very shallow critique,  pathetic and useless.

Never even heard of WOL.  .....had to look it up.  An $11  "slapstick comedy stick-figure wild west adventure" game.  Yeah, quite the comparison there.

I just can't believe I didn't know about this game. Blows Red Dead Redemption out of the water! You all see the graphics? Nothing else like this out there man. I just can't believe we've come this far with game development!

Bahahaha yes an instant classic. Developers everywhere will talk deep into the night about this technical masterpiece. What about the writing? Amazing character arcs and no one will ever forget the Demon Cows.

I'm kinda guessing that this thread was created for the purposes of humor rather than being any real critique on RDR'2 story....

Likely just someone being silly/funny my guess. I have done this on other forums before just to see who would get upset. In some places on the internet... You'd be surprised how little it takes (don't say anything bad about Sonic to Sonic fans...).

I appreciate Renatos review of "West of Loathing" but it is forcing me to make a difficult choice.

I am down to my last $11 of this months SS check and I dont know if I should sh!t or go blind.😕
