To give you a refresher of what it looked like and functioned like in GTA V, watch the above video.

What are your thoughts on this being in the game? Should it be like it was in GTA V or can they improve this and make it more fun/interactive?

I think it should last longer. Like for every drink, your buzz and drunkenness gets more intense and last longer. So say you take in 10 shots back to back, it should come on slow and last a good 5 hours in game time. That would likely be around 5 minutes.

You know you can drink and get drunk in RDR1... right?

I think he was referencing it to how it worked in their latest game... Could be wrong.

Either way, I think allowing us to move more is ideal. You remember what it was like to get hammered in RDR?

HA! I remember getting John drunk plenty of times. The thing that sucked is that you get him too far gone, he just falls over. I think it would be cool if they did like a "black out drunk" thing. Like you get so drunk you black out. You can wake up anywhere the next day, might be missing money, wearing women's clothing, ect. I would love to see that in the game. haha

Having a black out thing would be sweet but you can't skip time online. That would have to be reserved for solo only. Unless they just ignore time all together... I mean some games have done that.

Making it a bit more real would be ideal. Instead of the character doing the same thing over and over again, switch it up! Have him stumble, puke, fall over, piss himself. The options are endless!

I'd like for there to be drunk NPCs that start fights with you.

This would be amazing both in game AND online. Have like some town drunks or something in every area. Heck, make an achievement for beating the crap out of each one!

Yeah online time skipping would just not make sense. They could have it where you get so drink you "die" or end up needing medical help. So like you get taken where you would had someone shot you and you died.

I'd have fun with this. They would have to greatly improve the fighting mechanics of the game though. In RDR it was decent but in GTA V it was just god awful.

I'd like to see you get so drunk that you can intermittently lose control of your character, and that those moments include your character doing things that get you in trouble....    such as shooting a random NPC, smashing a bottle on the ground, or even begin vomiting uncontrollably. ;)

I second this. That would be hilarious! I would spend hours getting drunk just to see what he did. Maybe adding in him taking a leak on someone would be a nice little detail to add in there too LOL

Haha yeah more falling over would be nice. I remember it from GTA IV too:

Dude I forgot about this! YES! I want to see drunkenness be taken to this level. Back in the old west, there was farming, gambling, and drinking. Go big or go home Rockstar!

Being a town drunk is part of the charm in the old west. Like I mentioned, it should be more realistic. I would be fine with GTA IV style drunkness even.
